- This week, Brian decided that he was going to try to trick Stephanie into liking lamb after our last dining review at World's Magic Restaurant and Stephanie didn't want to order lamb. Brian made this delicious meal and served it to Stephanie under the guise that it was beef. Stephanie ate it up and declared it delicious. Then Brian broke the news that it was lamb not beef. Moral of the story here is to keep trying things that you think you may not like, because it may just turn out to be a delicious meal!

Ingredients used- red bell pepper, tomatoes, garlic, lamb shanks, salt, black pepper, olive oil, carrots, white onion, shallots, ancho chiles, guajillo chiles, arbol chiles, anise seed, cumin, coriander, pimenton, lemon, ground cinnamon, allspice berries, nutmeg, red wine, chicken stock, mint, cilantro, butter, couscous, dried cherries

Brian very nicely done. Lamb shanks are one of my favorite fall and Winter meals. I was glad you only used 2 cups of the chili mixture. I was afraid you're gonna use the whole thing. Once you see the entire recipe come together it's clear how all the different ingredients meld while cooking. I also like the roasting of the peppers to peppers tomatoes and garlic in the broiler. I'll definitely borrow that technique
This was a great dish. Just a little spice from the chile mixture and it added such a great flavor. The couscous was the perfect side for the lamb! -S

I have a couscous recipe coming up soon, so it is great to see someone else doing it! I will be using the pearl couscous. So many ingredients in this greatness with varied textures!
