  • The Monster Hunter series has never been a stranger to weird crossovers. Final Fantasy, The Witcher, and even Metal Gear Solid. So, why not one of Japan's most beloved monster raising game series? No, not that one...or the other one. I'm talking about Monster Rancher!

Crossbreed monster fusions would be neat, for sure.

I would love a game that increased the monster per monster ratio like this

More games should really increase the amount of monster per monster.

I would also love a Crossover in the opposite direction, where I could hunt down a Suezo

As interesting as it would seem, I doubt that it would happen, considering that Capcom would be more of a rival to Koei Tecmo. Think about the Sengoku Basara series that rivals the long running Warriors (Musou) franchise. But it would definitely be interesting to generate monsters like Rathalos from CDs and combine one with a Khezu, just to give an example. And I'm also glad you remember Monster Hunter Stories!
I, too, was surprised when Koei Tecmo collaborated with Bandai Interactive and Tsuburaya Productions to give us Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher. I have to say it was a great choice, considering how many kaiju we were given throughout the years of the Ultra franchise (Ultraman shows and Ultra Q). And the addition of Mocchi and Suezo as obtainable breeds were a nice touch, too!
I have some ideas for future Monster Rancher collaboration titles myself! Look at the Kirby series! So many candidates for obtainable monsters (Waddle Dee, Poppy Bros Jr., Rocky, Chilly, Bonkers, etc.)! And considering the Nintendo has worked with Koei Tecmo for Warriors titles, such as Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors, and other games like Metroid: Other M, it would be great if Nintendo and Hal Laboratory could work with Koei Tecmo and give us a Kirby × Monster Rancher crossover! I would call it "Monster Rancher Dreamland". Same goes for the Metroid series itself, so many monsters worthy of being raised! I would call it "Metroid Rancher". As for the Super Mario series, raising your own Goomba, Koopa Troopa, Blooper, Piranha Plant, Spiny, even Monty Mole would be nice. I would call that "Super Mario Monster Rancher".
The Klonoa series is also worthy of a Monster Rancher collaboration title. Sure there aren't many titles, but damn there are quite a few monsters. Moos, Burnies, Summies, Boins, Mew-Mews, Bugons, Nagapokos, Fifis, even Tetons.
And one more idea? Monster from throughout Sega's games! Sega Superstars: Monster Rancher! A Chao from the Sonic franchise, a Rappy from the Phantasy Star franchise, a Paku Paku from ChuChu Rocket, a Puyo from the Puyo Puyo franchise, a Morolian from the Space Channel 5 franchise, and even some of the Egg Animals from Billy Hatcher and The Giant Egg.
What do you think of my ideas?

Really, anything that gives more virtual pet style games I would be interested. Definitely a long shot for us to see a true crossover with Monster Hunter but I really do hope Capcom incorporates a similar feeling into the next Stories game.
Realistically, if there’s another new Monster Rancher I think we’d probably see some crossover with Wild Hearts since that’s already in house with Koei Tecmo. I could easily see them basing a special Golem on Lavaback.
Nintendo crossovers would be absolutely wild but they would definitely be cool to see.

@@graysonthebard9034 Definitely! Wild AND awesome! I would give to see Nintendo and Koei Tecmo work together to make an accessory where you can connect to the Switch AND use the CDs you own to generate monsters! That's right! A wireless external disc drive! For the Kirby series, I would like to generate a Poppy Bros Jr. as my first monster! For the Super Mario franchise I would like to generate a Piranha Plant, Cheep Cheep, a Wiggler, Chain Chomp, or even a Blooper!

@@graysonthebard9034 And nice call on the Kemono from Wild Hearts! That would be great if we could get a Monster Rancher spin-off of the game, or even have some of the Kemono as guest monsters to raise for the next Monster Rancher title.
