I just wanted to say thank you. I am a relatively beginning knitter, and I'm just learning the mitre square technique. I have read patterns and watched ... more than a few ... YT tutorials. You are the first one to speak my language. (Not literally 😅) But I've never been able to master that freakin slip, slip, knit. Your explanation and example are what finally made me understand. Thank you for all of the work you put into your tutorials. I'm sure that I'll be back for more as my abilities develop.
Lovely video - I was interested in the way the decreases worked because I find yours to be so much nicer than the line of wonky knit stitches down the middle. Well done!
Just learning to make this pattern. I have looked at other videos yours is the best I have seen. I will watch the others to see how to put them together.
Thanks so much for this. You actually use the same knitting technique as me so this is very clear for me. Also, I am left handed and you have just confirmed the fact I have often suspected - I have absorbed the right handed cast on and then sometime in my life I decided in favour of left handed knitting. Think it comes of being ambidextrous and making my own choices as I got older. LOL.
Hello... Have been doing this for a few days working on a similar sized square. But I haven't made a square yet. I guess I'm not decreasing everytime I need to, though I think I am... so I don't know what's going wrong unless my mind is going! I need something to help me do what is necessary every right side! IS THERE A RATIO for how many rows you ought to have based on how many stitches are cast on? If your side is 20 stitches (having cast on 41) then how many rows should exist from start to finish? I have on my 20 (41 cast on) 36 rows. It is square. But the larger ones aren't working! Thanks!!

Thank you so much. I have made mitered square before for a pillow, but forgot how. I didn’t pull out my hair only the other 4 attempts.
Thank you so much 😊
