Another GREAT review! This one I found particularly usefull personally, because I spend most of my working time in a suit & tie, and those types of pen-lights are ideal for me, since anything looking even remotely "tactical" is frowned upon in my office, and a flash light is a piece of kit that I find using almost on a daily basis. Keep up with your excellent work. Congrats!!!!
I have both lights , but the Thrunite is the black model , all I did with both was stuck a piece down each side of the batteries and no more rattle , easy fix . Great review Tim .
Looks like two good options. I think it is a good idea to get gear that use the same type of batteries. It makes things easier and you don't have to bring a lot of different stuff. Thanks for the review :) - Martin
Just informational on the warranty goes on the nitecore , he is right on shipping over seas but that's if you don't buy it from a authorized dealer. You contact the dealer whom you bought the flashlight and request a warranty/exchange and they ship it on your behave or exchange for the same model.
Do they have memory? othervise my streamlight is perfect one mode on or off.Perfect, simple just works... for bigger lights ,sure go mode crazy all day long. Thanks for the review.
I have to admit that the throw on the Nitecore is better, but I prefer the beam pattern on the Thrunite. I recently returned a Nebo because the hotspot was so small. Yes, it would light up the mailbox down the street... and nothing else! The Nitecore MT06 is not THAT tight, but I prefer flooder lights unless I'm looking down a 200 foot tunnel (which I do on occasion). Of course, if I'm going to be helping out a security team with a building sweep, I'll be using one of my bigger lights and not a pen light anyway, lol.
My 2 cents: I don't like any that have the button not recessed. I also don't like any that have momentary on because it always gets crunched in tight spaces and runs the batteries dead. I think medium should be 75 or so Lumens. Anything more than three settings (such as strobe) is a pain. I like the little extension on the Nitecore clip. I also don't like the lights that go from high to a lower setting in a few minutes to save battery. I DO like the lights that "remember" the last setting used but that is not a deal breaker. Of course they always need to be waterproof. I do not like any that the front does not come off (Streamlight) because you can not remove stuck batteries. P.S. I hate Duracell batteries because they leak and destroy everything.
Good review. You lost me at "SENDING IT OVERSEAS FOR WARRANTY WORK". I would never buy some thing like that. For me, customer service after the sale is MORE than worth the extra few bucks. Keep up the great work.
great review! i've been carrying a pen light for the past 2 months and am amazed at how often I use it. thanks for the info.
+Dave Bell Thanks for checking it out and glad it helped!

The battery jiggle is easily fixed by wrapping an emergency $20 around the batteries. Two birds with one rock.
+Ed Hopkins Well-played, sir.
I really like that idea alot even though I don't shake my light like an idiot....
Tolerances are too tight to fit something as wide as a rolled up bill in there
My Ti4 runs on triple-A's, not double-A's. Doesn't make a sound when I shake it, either. You might want to trade down, Tim!
+Whoozerdaddy Good call - fixed that with an annotation.

I'd spend the extra 14 for the strobe and lumen bump..
great review is the the thrunite a nutural white light
If I am not mistaken, you can get it in either NW or CW.
Very nice light. Thanks for sharing atb John
+Turtle Bushcraft Thanks TB.
Having to ship it back overseas I would have to pass it up.
How long is the battery life on high setting on each flashlight?
Outstanding!

The pocket clip for the mt06 is not reliable. No dependability on it
Stop advertising!
your ti4t has 300 lumens on high that one has more lumens than the regular ti4. later
not with neutral white. neutral white has 15% less lumens which is ~255. yes with cool white.
