Our DC needs to wake up and put his sh... together. Our DL last year dominated every game. This year, nothing to show for. 2 weeks where he makes poor play calling and doesn’t know how to make adjustments when he’s watching the game from above!! I get Warner and Greenlaw can be used for coverage but when you got them covering receivers down field and leaving the middle open, it’s just not helping us out. Since the beginning of the season I’ve been watching what kind of plays he’s been calling and he’s not making us better. Steve Wilks really needs to step up and make better decisions if not I don’t see us going to the bowl with him as DC

Wilks is blitzing at very bad times ..... like the one he did 16 seconds left at the half ! I'm definitely worried about the Dline ! They have been very underwhelming this year . Had some moments, but when Daniel Hunter has 9 sacks and the 49ers only have 15 and the Ravens have 29 in 7 games ... then somethings gotta give ! Bosa is another guy ! He needs to step up because almost is not good enough especially with that contract! Also I think this will be Armstead's last year. 0 sacks in the last 16 games ... Not very good .
First time since 2020 that a team blitzed 7 or more in enemy territory with less than 30 seconds left in the half. Wilks gave them 7 points with one of the worst play calls in the last 3 years.
I'm not a fan of Steve Wilks as the DC. Watching clips from last season DeMeco Ryans not only made the right calls at the right time and lead this nearly identical defense to #1 in the NFL, but he was also always on the field with his players talking to them face to face, getting hyped when his unit got a turnover, and just showing real spirit. It really bothers me that Wilks is always up in the booth with a headset, and always looks angry. I don't think he brings the energy or the strategy this 9ers defense deserves.

Defense couldnt stay off the field. Vikings kept converting on 3rd down. D line played gassed out couldnt rattle cousins when it mattered. Warner and Greenlaw need help out there. Defense needs to step it up. Wilks needs to adjust his play calling. And offense needs to spread the ball around not just over feed cmc. Kyle needs to involve our depth to keep our roster fresh as possible. How can mitchell catch rythm with 1 run attempt 🤦♂️. Why was mason not utilized nor juice. Kyle needs to learn to use the depth he put together not just when injury occurs.

The 1st pick is on Jennings, its a timing route and Jennings let himself get bullied coming out his break. If McCaffrey didnt fumble and Moody makes that kick and we dont give up an atrocious TD on 3rd down with 20 secs left and no timeouts its a different game. No reason Purdy should have even needed to be in a position to have to put a 4th qtr drive together
This was another team loss. The McCaffrey fumble that led to 7 for Minnesota was critical early in this game. The defense made Kirk cousins look like prime P Manning - Def was awful, esp on 3rd down. Another missed kick by Moody. . Don’t put all of this on Purdy, who was pretty damn good while getting blitzed most of the game, and then put in a tough do or die position late in game , on the road, because of all I just stated
Niners looked soft. Every time the Vikings got the ball it was chunks of yardage. Only punted once. This D needs to get fixed if they want to win a championship. Now as long as Purdy stops throwing Ints and Moody stops missing field goals we still have a chance to meet the chiefs again

Here’s the thing, Brock Purdy wouldn’t have been in that situation if Moody had made his kick from earlier, or if Mcaffery hadn’t fumbled. Most likely they would’ve had to settle for a field goal to win it if they would’ve scored on one of those possessions. The defense also allowed a lot of huge plays, like the touchdown at the end of the half, which also caused Purdy to be put in a difficult situation. Yes Purdy did make two key mistakes by throwing those interceptions and he can’t be forcing as much balls as he has been lately, but that game was no where close to being his fault. It was a 49rs loss from all sides of the ball.
Stop wit the what if’s. Purdy needed to face adversity, after all the talk about him being undefeated & throwing no picks. He needed to face adversity, and when he did ( these past 2 weeks ) he got punched twice and didn’t fight back. Two picks on back to back drives can’t happen in the nfl, the momentum from both teams & the fans shift. He needs to learn from these last 2 weeks and I’m sure he will. But besides the qb problems, our run game has been horrible. Shanahan continues to overuse McCaffrey, and with that cmc is already facing a small injury. The 49ers offense needs to get back to that heavy down 3 back shame. Like when we had ( Mostert, Breida, & Coleman ). JP Mason is a big heavy down back who can bruise mlb’s & safeties, he has good vision and great acceleration yet Shanahan doesn’t use him. They need to have a solid rotation every week, sharing the backfield is important in this offense and this scheme. I love Mccaffrey, he’s the best Rb in the league but Shanahan has to learn when to sub him out and let Mason bruise up the defense
Omg every QB would be undefeated if the players around them always played perfectly. A franchise QB is supposed to be able to pick the team up when they’re not playing well, and Brock hasn’t shown he can do that at all. He can play great when everyone is healthy and they have a lead, other than that it’s hit or miss and that has to be very concerning once they get to the playoffs. He needs to improve on that area or they’re going home, you’re never gonna win 3-4 straight playoff games by blowouts.

I do mainly blame this on Wilks and Kyle. Brock also made mistakes on monday night and cmc had one fumble. This is a team loss two in a row against the Browns and the Vikings. Yeah my dad said shanahan is no good. He watched Joe and rice back then. Was a big niners fan with my late uncle. He hardly watches football anymore but he did watch last night game. Dad said he wouldn't have ran the ball with mccaffrey that led to the fumble early on. Kyle putting all his eggs in one basket. This is a team sport. He needs to get other players involved. Niner Defensive Coordinator is HORRIBLE!!! The defense that Saleh and Ryan's designed was built around solid coverage and letting the front 4 put the heat on. This guy blitzes Fred arguably the best coverage linebacker in NFL history like he is Ray Lewis. Makes ZERO SENSE! Wilks is the guy that takes a circle peg in a square notch and wonders why it's not working.
Bosa has been performing. He's getting a ton of pressure and facing more double teams than any edge in the NFL. The problem is, teams are throwing quickly, and our secondary is playing too far off.
It's all mental guys. Meaning, your losing the past 2 games is due to you lacking mental toughness and it's bogged your spirits down to where fear has now set in. You were still mentally down going into this game from losing to Cleveland and now you look like a team pushing a boulder of failure up a mountain so steep, that it doesn't seem you can make it to the top in order to win. You have to NOT let yourselves get so high that when you fail, you end up too low. Arrogance, & cockiness does not equal confidence & ability. Let your actions speak for you, not your trash talking mouths (Deebo). Lack of confidence and negativity can spread like a cancer within the locker room causing everyone to not bring their best for the next game. They're like a golfer who can't find their swing so they keep missing the fairways and can't putt worth a damn. You notice that baseball teams are able to overcome loss so much easier to win the next games? It's due to the amount of games they play. They're mentally used to having to suck it up and bring their best the next game. Football is so much harder because they play one game every week and every game counts. Hard to overcome a loss in time before the next game but Mentally Tough teams can like The Chiefs. This is in part due to the leaders in that team. Purdy is not the leader of the team. He's still a rookie who is under a tremendous amount of pressure with very little experience. I would say Fred Warner is and he's defense. So if the offense has lost their mojo, how can a defensive leader help them get it back?

Defense couldnt stay off the field. Vikings kept converting on 3rd down. D line played gassed out couldnt rattle cousins when it mattered. Warner and Greenlaw need help out there. Defense needs to step it up. Wilks needs to adjust his play calling. And offense needs to spread the ball around not just over feed cmc. Kyle needs to involve our depth to keep our roster fresh as possible. How can mitchell catch rythm with 1 run attempt 🤦♂️. Why was mason not utilized nor juice. Kyle needs to learn to use the depth he put together not just when injury occurs.

This was another team loss. The McCaffrey fumble that led to 7 for Minnesota was critical early in this game.

Here’s the thing, Brock Purdy wouldn’t have been in that situation if Moody had made his kick from earlier, or if Mcaffery hadn’t fumbled. Most likely they would’ve had to settle for a field goal to win it if they would’ve scored on one of those possessions. The defense also allowed a lot of huge plays, like the touchdown at the end of the half, which also caused Purdy to be put in a difficult situation. Yes Purdy did make two key mistakes by throwing those interceptions and he can’t be forcing as much balls as he has been lately, but that game was no where close to being his fault. It was a 49rs loss from all sides of the ball.
Stop wit the what if’s. Purdy needed to face adversity, after all the talk about him being undefeated & throwing no picks. He needed to face adversity, and when he did ( these past 2 weeks ) he got punched twice and didn’t fight back. Two picks on back to back drives can’t happen in the nfl, the momentum from both teams & the fans shift. He needs to learn from these last 2 weeks and I’m sure he will. But besides the qb problems, our run game has been horrible. Shanahan continues to overuse McCaffrey, and with that cmc is already facing a small injury. The 49ers offense needs to get back to that heavy down 3 back shame. Like when we had ( Mostert, Breida, & Coleman ). JP Mason is a big heavy down back who can bruise mlb’s & safeties, he has good vision and great acceleration yet Shanahan doesn’t use him. They need to have a solid rotation every week, sharing the backfield is important in this offense and this scheme. I love Mccaffrey, he’s the best Rb in the league but Shanahan has to learn when to sub him out and let Mason bruise up the defense

A franchise QB is supposed to be able to pick the team up when they’re not playing well, and Brock hasn’t shown he can do that at all. He can play great when everyone is healthy and they have a lead, other than that it’s hit or miss and that has to be very concerning once they get to the playoffs. He needs to improve on that area or they’re going home, you’re never gonna win 3-4 straight playoff games by blowouts.
