Aright Tech 404 - what would you go for for low budget gaming projector - the alfawise x3200 or this Excelvan Q7 ? I notice gearbest are also selling an alfawise Q7, looks the same product but costs more? In addition, do you think I would be better holding off until one of them become available on the EU warehouse, I am unsure what custom costs may be included if I order from China warehouse...its the not knowing I guess. I read on reddit that if you opt out of the DHL delivery options on gearbest you may not receive custom costs. Able to shed in light on your experience with gearbest?
I own this projector and its a utter turd! noise at 1 meter is 59Db. Where is your meter showing your results??? If you say it’s 28/29db then you must have used a meter strange that you don’t show it. About 5000 LUMINES yes but picture colour is washed out and blurred. Audio is turd mono speaker. Build quality of device is low. This ain’t no descent project. Stick to named brands. I can say these things because I don’t get free stuff from gearbest or have links to get commission
"200 ANSI Lumens" Which is double my Junpro 100 ANSI Lumens projector, which is tolerable in a blackout room but add any kind of light and you lose quality. But this is also more than double the price of the Junpro, and for $169 USD, you can find something on the used market decently better (especially if you don't mind a 4:3 native aspect ratio). They call the design an "Eyeable cake-like cute appearance makes it a sweet gift for your friends and relatives." Lol.
Its great to see Rewievs of affordable projectors, you doing a really good job there...I cant wait to see what the Byintek P8I , 7,1 Android picoprojector does for enjoyment at evnings...:)
I have a couple of Excelvan projectors. A BL-58 and a BL-59. They are inexpensive as are all my projectors but they have the best image of my projectors. I would like this unit as well.

Id hang on mate for stock to arrive and they are the same projector different brands that's all, if they claim different specs it's most likely marketing jargon.
I cant imagine it looking better in darkness .The light coming through the window must be affecting the exposure of the camera taking the picture. Perhaps it needs to be in a manual setting.
We took a $69 gamble on the Cheerlux C6 LED 3 chip projector about 18 months ago and were 100% stunned by the performance then & remain so all these months later. We figure a $69 loss will be no biggie if it turned out to be crap. As it were, the C6 is not crap. It's beaming a 100" picture in a 12x12 ft. room that is better than the image we saw at a local best Buy Magnolia room when we were researching. We plan on making a step up to a true 3D model next because 4K doesn't mean alot to us as our library is mostly 1080p blu rays & a 3rd of those are 3D. Optoma 142x seems to be the 3D unit we'll be buying as the 143x has a border splash that folks are complaining about. We don't want border splash showing up during a 3D presentation. At any rate, $499 seems to be the average price tag for the 142x and that's very cheap for a 100" 3D picture in our livingroom. I enjoyed your review & I hit subscribe. ~ peace
With the curtains closed I had it set to the what I would call eco mode, or what passes as eco mode on these led projectors, with the curtains opened it was at it's brightest mode.
I'm curious about the M1! I really really value portability and dream of a cable free existence, so the M1's form factor and high quality built in speakers really appeal - but I'd worry that the image quality and brightness on a portable projector just wouldn't cut it. I'm not a pixel peeper though, and to me "good enough" in a dark room will certainly do. I've prowled around central London but cannot find showrooms that will show me a portable project in action, so it's been hard to try it out for myself. Help!
That's not that bad for $150 in it looks good in daylight to you say it can get up to 160 inches nice yes I wood like to see a review of M1 THANKS MY FRIEND
This projector gets the job done pretty well. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxS9P8zTOcmQg-hH0QeUi3dspOLyYgQ6dH Bear in mind it's a mini projector but all things considered the picture quality is pretty good. The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.
You can use play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tsang.alan.lightmeter to detect brightness. It's in Lux, which is Lumens/m^2. Just make sure you calculate at the same distance from the lens for each projector.
Could you review the recently c80 (Aun/ Vivibright) the first 720p mini projector.. (the form factor is like all of those 480p "mini" projector) it is listed like 1280 x720 native resolution though
I've been trying to get the reasoning behind the eco mode thing Mike, and I don't wish to be disrespectful, and I just can't think of a better way to ask you. I really enjoy your videos and I mean no disrespect. That said, what must you be thinking mate? I mean nobody would review say a lamp and say "And this is what it looks like in the off position. We call it eco mode. " Lol
Don't pay too much attention to advertised contrast ratios; all manufacturers cheat. In reality, you'd be lucky to get better than 200:1 with almost any system under normal conditions.
Only been watching your videos from last week. These China projectors aren't really honest with their lumen count. Not by a mile. I noticed that 90% of them claim 10x whatever it really is. So I won't be surprised if the actual projector is only 300 lumens. I have experience with a lot of these Chinese projectors and all of them I dealt with were 10x less
Chris Seagler projector screen (200-400$) depending how huge you wanna go. And speakers, most projectors come with built in speakers but its recommended to get a nice surround sound system to really get the movie theatre experience.

Rk N save your cash and avoid both. Get an Optoma or Epson at £200 to £300. Cost more but worth it.
is this the same as the ExquizOn Q7??
To dark
I own this projector and its a utter turd!

Saved me from buying, thank you
why does the day time shots look alot brighter than the dark shotys without the light on and windows?
yes, I'm asking for the same question though. 👍
He said in the vid, he had it on standard mode when the curtains were closed, and he put it on bright mode when they were open.
Nice little projector and the cheapest one with a resolution of 1280x800 i´ve seen so far. Thanks for testing it and inspiring me!

Doesn't asia integrate cable plug-in into the hardware for be able to watch Cable-TV, too? Why not? At least I didn't see that so far.
Hi Tech 404 Can you perhaps do a side by side comparison between the Excelvan Q7 and the Alfawise X, day and night?
There is a projector wars ep4 soon, which will look at this and more
Sweet, i can't wait to see it.
This or the alfawise??
Is the alfawise as good in the sun?
Do the Lg pf50ka , full 1080p portable
Great review.
Btw, are there any 1080p budget led projectors worth looking at?
@Tech 404 : Maybe you could take a look at this: sztfy.en.alibaba.com/?spm=a2700.details.cordpanyb.1.1ee47bfcEV9D4P ?
Going to be checking out a good few budget options over the coming few weeks.
Aha! I've been looking for a replacement for my GP100...this might be it!
TECH 404 when you do just make sure they’re native 1080p and not the 1280x800 chinese junk
Looking for a projector for outside - how would this cope in the shade?
Can someone help me ? I have this excelvan q7, but it’s dark the image here, I don’t know how can I configure to be equals the video
thanks for less my time searching best and cheapest projector on day light. thumbs up
p/s- does it comes with Bluetooth?
How was your service with GearBest? Is that where you got it from?
Optima with 5000 Lumens please!
What's it like for gaming Mike?

hi tech404. how does this projector conpares to the gp100. wich one is the best?
My initial impressions was it's definitely less noisy and image quality wise it's a little better, but will be testing it further soon.
TECH 404 okay thank you
Tech404 is d lens glass or some other material.. I learnt non glass lenses can deteriorate in their transparency with usage.
Can you find the link on AliExpress
Nice to see you quoting actual (native) resolution, not the phony "supports 1080p"
WOOW!! the daytime view is very impressive...
It was definitely unexpected
Can it be your screen? Another reviewer had a very poor daytime performance with the same projector ruclips.net/video/Hf0SOJ9HXzc/видео.html
Please compare it to the Alphawise X

How come it looked better /brighter with the curtains open?
With the curtains closed I had it set to the what I would call eco mode, or what passes as eco mode on these led projectors, with the curtains opened it was at it's brightest mode.
TECH 404 Why would anyone want to use eco mode, or see eco mode?
why didnt you do brighter mode with closed curtains plz can you do this as im very intrested....... thanks great vid as always
native resolution of 1280x800? Why just why... It's not like full HD panels are hard to come by.
Bluetooth? Or is that too much to ask for £150?

In a dark room this does a pretty good job
why does this picture look better in daylight then dark, camera effecting it?
That's not that bad for $150 in it looks good in daylight to you say it can get up to 160 inches nice yes I wood like to see a review of M1 THANKS MY FRIEND
Not sure we would get the same image at anything over 120 inch.
Seems like another GP100, which BTW I managed to score one for only $69 USD shipped off eBay via auction!
Can't argue with that price
how much is it ?

Don't know if that's how you spell it over the pond, but I think you spelled ambient wrong
I can see dots. Looks like a messed up projector nice collors but the dots
Still it won't be anywhere near 7000 lumens.
Could you review the recently c80 (Aun/ Vivibright) the first 720p mini projector.. (the form factor is like all of those 480p "mini" projector) it is listed like 1280 x720 native resolution though

Lol the pure thing I was trying to show with the whole eco remark was to balance colour to get best image out of this little led projector.
Don't pay too much attention to advertised contrast ratios; all manufacturers cheat. In reality, you'd be lucky to get better than 200:1 with almost any system under normal conditions.
Aloominum???
looks like its upside down with the feet mounted on the top of it.
The problem with Gearbest is you never know if you will ever receive the item you've purchased.
yes...true
What's ambiant? Do you mean ambient ?
It's a pitty it's kind of ugly 😂
Let's see the optimo review please. Also do you have any info on the bt96+ projector?
'
how come america dont make it own TV projectors
hi S...
america can make it good TV projectors and still good currency
So it is not ceiling mountable
Yes you can't mount this on the ceiling
TECH 404 Thanks. I mounted my projector on my ceiling as the hot air was blowing on me at my seating location. This is a negative point.
Nothing a screwdriver can't fix.
Under the little rubber piece arent screw holes?
No there's no thread under the rubber tabs for mounting, I thought the same
Sorry meant to say cant imagine it looking better with the light coming through the window, sorry.
Ambient. 😉 Unless Ambi is a relation of Adam..? 🤣
200 ANSI (3300) or 450 ANSI (3800) ?
Why are you using 404 in your name? It is an error code, which means "not found"....

You meant Lumens not Lumans :)
Also you got yourself a subscriber
something new from wowoto
Picture looks better with the windows open lmao that's weird huh
What are the benefits getting a projector versus getting a giant flat-screen TV? Someone please inform me
Chris Seagler price. Have you seen what a 80" or bigger TV costs? Esp 4k TVs...
Russ what all will I need to buy along with the projector? What about sound?
Chris Seagler projector screen (200-400$) depending how huge you wanna go. And speakers, most projectors come with built in speakers but its recommended to get a nice surround sound system to really get the movie theatre experience.
Russ should the projector be ceiling mounted or wall mounted?
Chris Seagler doesnt really matter, I prefer ceiling
If its not 4k I'm not interested
ambient and not ambiant, anyway subbed
Aluminium.
M1
I'll be hard pressed to by anything else from China..
10 year old benq projector still better that this crap not worth even 100$
M1 is garbage,I had it for 3 days
Still garbage then XD
First
