@@Smellthecoffee100 yes it was used for what they claim, but if you look towards, the wall and towards the right wall, you see directed turns to lead water or as I think toilet to make it more unpleasant for the prisoner

I went to Warwick castle once a few years back it was a nice castle and almost killed a peacock that was behind the archery range and had someone shout don't kill the king's bird
@@trapgod7615 it was during a school trip to the castle , our group was in the ghost tower at the time listening to the tour guide speaking about the history of the tower, there is a door that leads to an adjoining room in the tower and from where I was standing I saw the handle of the adjoining door go down and the door slowly open , from where I was standing I could see into the next room and there was no one standing on the opposite side of the door and at least a minute later the door slammed shut, it spooked everyone in my group even the teacher but the tour guide just laughed it off but you could tell by her voice she was scared.

in the oubliette when you look forward you see a gutter, it is for air or connection with the drain to a privy
So it is kind of made up, it wasn't really used for what they claim?

That is THE spookiest thing I have ever seen.
Im going there today!
There are lots of violent criminals today who would benefit from a jail like this instead of cushioned air conditioned comfort
Very few people would deserve that.
It's horrifying when the torture equipment gets explained on the tour especially 'The Rack'.
Great videos! I think it would bring better visuals if you record horizontaly oriented.
I went to Warwick Castle for my school trip last week 😄
There was so much suffering in those centuries ago!
So Tragic Period!
Much more suffering is happening right now in a ton of shithole countries around the world.

Ooo love how that dress looks on her....or is it a skirt?;)
What happened to their Iron Maiden?
I would have assumed that oubliette meant "NOPE!"
The Gaol?
I went there as a school trip
No Monte Cristo story for that fellow

Quite a horrible hole to be placed in.
Can you imagine the PTSD.
Awful.
Thank you Alice.
I don't think the jailers were too worried about the prisoners 'feelings'. Unlike todays world.
I doubt they got PTSD because they died down there !
Quite Horrible??
