@@Hamfrags just got it wrong on Ben going west to Verona. It's actually Adam being forced to go west after his route got blocked by the police at the start of his second run.
Or they put a clip of Season 9 of Hide and Seek Switzerland in the trailer on purpose, because they know you are going to detective it all out 😅 (they mentioned you multiple times in the podcast)
Is it also possible that Sam filmed this while he was on a vacation in Switserland around that time to hide the fact that they were filming Jet Lag there?
Me too! Most of the timeline was stitched together by the people on the Discord this season while I was busy locating individual clips. Having seen episode 4, though, I was wrong about them never entering Ben's win area! I thought he would have gone further west, since Adam is in Nogara later.
Living in Monselice, it's so wild to see Jet Lag basically play around my house ahahah. That swiss clip however seems very stocky to me, i mean 7 theoretical hours of trains with trenitalia is like minimum 15 hours in reality lol.
Awesome! Do you agree that it looks like monselice station in that one clip? It was tough to confirm using online resources. If the Swiss clip is fake, then that is some expertly planted misdirection! I wouldn't even be mad!
Odd that they don't have editors blur license plates yet do for people's faces. I think the fair weather across all clips allowed them to covertly place that train clip in place.
It's something of a mixed bag, some people consider license plates a kind of sensitive information (because you can figure out who owns the car and potentially their home address and other concerning information) but I think the sentiment in the US is that it's a public piece of information. So unless a car runs over a player and the license plate is caught on camera (in which case they wouldn't want people attacking the owner...) they probably won't censor it.
I always find it strange that Ben is the only one in an Island instead of major cities like the other two (Naples instead across the sea would be better), but with Adam running first and Ben going last. It seems like there's a lot less chance that the Season is being pulled south anywhere close to Rome. So... We'll see how this Season goes. Because the entire Italy is a Chokepoint (which made me skeptical that this Season was indeed a Tag in the first place) Only one way out unless you take a Plane across the Adriatic.
It shouldn't matter that the end location is on an island for a couple of reasons: 1)We know they do real-time mock scrimmages. If the location was really so bad for tag in the first place it would've been revealed in the testing and eliminated. 2)Runbacks and actually reaching the location. The next person still has to run all the way back to their zone if tagged so the effective distance is doubled and the game is more about chokepoints along the way rather than final hurdle. Bricked locations have happened in the past. Look at the identified location pinpoints on the shown map, they reach nowhere near the end zones. I know they don't reveal much of the last two days in the trailers though but the entire gameplan would've been revealed to everyone by that point.
Thanks! It wasn't quite flawless when it came to the middle parts, though. I made sure to mention every time we weren't quite sure about aspects like whether Adam would get caught in Monselice, but I was straight up wrong about Adam being in Verona during his second run. Didn't double check the station layout before making that assertion!
So far it looks perfect as of Day 1. Also SPOILER BELOW from Day 2 we know Sam pulled a curse, as mentioned in the podcast, and can be seen in the footage. So it makes sense that he can get to his win area fast without ever needing to stop for challenges, after he has been caught in that Alp town
I'm curious if your viewer graph has a noticeable bump immediately after the end of each season. Based on the comments, I'm far from the only person who watches your videos immediately after finishing the season.
All of these three latest Jet Lag videos have noticeable bumps, yes! The season 9 one had a huge bump and went from 13000 to 30000 views in the week after the season finale dropped. But this one actually got most of its views during the season. Don't know why this one in particular had so much early success.
I don't think it is stock footage because I think that that the colours of the stock footage would be much more vibrant it is either that or They inserted a clip from season 9. But It makes sense for this particular clip to be fair from everywhere else. It was taken in the afternoon of day three so it makes sense that there are not many scenes from nearby. Or it could be Adam trying to get somewhere like Innsbruck in his win area. But I really hope it is sama cause I am a Sam fan.😅
It's a shame that Sam is the 2nd runner after Adam. If it was Bens turn he could go south and camp in some "vukojebina" in Croatia or Bosnia accesible with public transport only couple of times a day.
Yes! You can pinpoint the location of a photo using things you wouldn't always think of. Obviously, here we're looking at months-old footage, but best practice is to not post photos of your live location online ever.
bro you are spot on until at least the second episode.I was gonna see the whole video because how much can you realistic deduce from a trailer right? but after seeing what you did i'm stopping and coming back after the season is over,i'm starting to think you know who wins just by the trailer
I think that train picture in day 3 is wrong. It doesn’t add up. Because it is in the wrong location. I say it is stock footage because every other image besides one or few have been landmark locations. There is a part of a railroad in Switzerland called the looping figure-eighth. Because it does 4 loops in one area. And it is a Switzerland landmark. I say it is in Italy.
I'm not sure I quite follow your point. I can believe that the clip might be stock footage, but it was definitely recorded in Switzerland, not Italy. Specifically, it was recorded by the Biaschina Viaduct, right next to two big underground rail loops.
Btw you forgot to put the clip of Desenzano del Garda as more proof that Sam won. It looks like it is going east but in reality it is going west because the cars are reversed
Good catch! There are a few clips that I don't show here. Either because I forgot to mention them in my script or because they didn't matter much (all the Ferrara clips). This one I didn't lump in with the other day 3 clips because it might as well have been recorded on day 2 during Ben's run. We don't see who recorded it. Even though I mentioned the cars going backwards on Discord, I was never able to date the clip. Maybe by looking at weather reports we could make a likely guess, though!
This is a spoiler from the podcast They said that they set it in Italy because they were getting too good at the previous board and it would probably be less fun to watch
I have a question for you Hamfrags. How did you manage to make a circle on the Google My Maps map you made this season. I can never seem to be able to do it.
Search on Google for "circle generator Scott Murray". You should find the online tool I use. You just input the coordinates of the center of the circle, then it gives you a kml file you can download and import to your My Maps. I usually set the geometry to "linestring" so the middle of the circle isn't filled in.

Fun question! Here are my picks: Lighthouse in Wick, Scotland Port of Cork sign in Cork, Ireland Exposure sculpture in Lelystad, Netherlands Start point would be Bradford, England. There isn't super many options in terms of rail lines in Ireland and Scotland, but I tried to balance it a bit.
