Furniture making is different from carpentry. It is a form of woodworking and Kumasi is an excellent place to practice the craft. I, as a black American, have been there three times. I love it and were I not an octogenarian I would return for another visit.

Sure furniture making is a form of wood work. Whiles carpentry is mainly construction and rough wood works

This is not carpentry. It's called woodworking or precisely a joiner. If he invests in modern machines, he'll eventually make 10x+ what he would have made in tech.
I've been a software developer for 10yrs myself and I'm working towards furniture making.
