      That may very well be. I don’t see a turn around until interest rates come down and the perception of poor quality changes. The industry’s challenge is to get people like me to upgrade. New to RVing folks can’t pay the bills.

    Where are the actual sales numbers? shipments and for sale numbers are not relevant to what was actually sold, right? I believe actual sales are drastically down from last year. When I call dealerships to get quotes on a 2025 class-a, the sales people are aggressively pushing the 2024 model year RV's I guess because there is much inventory. They purposely increase the prices of the 2025 model year to entice you to buy a leftover.

      Sales data is not available that I know of. The closest thing I see being reported are retail vehicle registrations, however I am suspect of the data and so we don’t report on it. Thanks again!

    Amazed that there are still new 2022 units out there. Any thoughts on pitfalls of buying a unit that has sat on lot for a significant time?
    I’m thinking about dried out sealant and associated leaks with hidden water damage. Sun baked tires that are dried out/weakened. Possible bug/rodent infestation. Dried out vinyl/rubber parts.
    Wondering if folks feel the “clearance” prices are a worth to taking a chance on and any horror stories out there.

    • @JohnMarucci
      @JohnMarucci  2 месяца назад

      All of your concerns are valid. Tires are especially troublesome as some of the 2022 could have been built in 2021 and the date stamp on the tire maybe be quite a bit older. In theory you could be getting a four-year old tire on a 2022 model. I would steer clear of any 2022 unless you are skilled at inspecting everything or know someone who is.

    Excellent work. Let's hope that reduced sales will eventually force manufacturers to increase quality as they compete for customers.

    If you’re driving a diesel and don’t have a fuel discount card, you’re missing out. It’s $3.50 or less in Florida right now and even cheaper in other parts of the country.

    Just got a used 180 that seemed great and has nightmare rot in the bathroom ! Any advice ?

    • @JohnMarucci
      @JohnMarucci  2 месяца назад

      Sorry to hear this. You’ll want to identify where you have a leak. I’d start with all the plumbing connections in the bathroom. Next, you’ll likely need to pull up some the vinyl floor to check the base luan flooring. Before you do anything I am mentioning, ask for input from the R-Pod owners forum, as you may find others who have had a similar issue: www.rpod-owners.com

      I looked at 10 months out on some in central Florida state parks and it is close to impossible to get something for more than a few nights, however, for some reason the panhandle state parks seem much more available. Curious what you are searching for and when.

    • @Jeffrey7348
      @Jeffrey7348 3 месяца назад

      @@JohnMarucci yes. Central Florida area for me and it's real hard to get 4-5 nights consecutive. I got lucky at Colt Creek a few weeks ago, I was on at the right time, I guess a cancellation and got 4 nights on weekday. Weekends are impossible. I don't book that far out, don't know schedule. Really liked Colt Creek

      I’ve been booking several sights in same state park and just moving! I live in North central Florida. Very difficult to get more than three days at same campsite! Oh well, with 23 million residents and a few million more during snowbird season! Yikes !
