My thoughts on this. The more I look at this team the more excited I get. I like many had no idea who Toby Gad is. I learned about him after her first performance with him. Another Powerhouse Writer Producer who has worked with only the best of the Industry past and present. Diane Warren another legend visited with Angelina but little came of it. This is very different than that. Angelina and Toby have declared they are working on original material together that they hinted would be available this fall. We are all of course hoping is the long-awaited Album. Some predictions in the past have failed to materialize as predicted. Let's hope this is not the same. And I've been thinking about the timing which would be brilliant. Many have mentioned a release in September would be late to qualify for this year’s Grammys. What if that is the plan. We already have two Grammy worthy releases with 'If I Were a Boy' and 'Bad Valentine out right now which will be eligible this year. Produced and performed by two powerhouse singer/songwriters/producers in Angelina and Toby. All of the songs on the album would be eligible for the following year's Grammys. At least in this scenario. If one or both songs win a Grammy think about the runway that would have for a Full year and from the very same powerhouse duo. Having already won they will both be well known by then having already won the Grammy(s). All of those new songs from the new album will be eligible for those Grammys. This was a genius decision to present the production in a way that was very similar to that which Bruce Springsteen did for his 'Academy Award Winning' 'Streets of Philadelphia' video that simply shows him walking the city streets in Philadelphia while singing. Angelina's vocals are much more powerful in their delivery than Bruce's were.
When Angelina covers another artist’s songs she sprinkles her angel dust on them and then takes ownership of them. The musical arrangement of this official cover compared to the the “Piano Diaries” version appeal to Angelina’s vast young and older fan base. Her vocal arrangement of this cover is more proof that her innate ability to interpret the lyrics as the song writer intended them to convey is unequaled.
