Sir.....Im almost finished bleeding this AP big brake kit on my X3max turbo rr. My last wheelset wont fit. (caliper rub). I have bought new 4/3 wheels that will fit.....but Im very worried now, after reading ShockTherapy blog about geometry. Do you happen to know a 6/1 wheel model that will clear this kit well ? t.i.a......Paul

Looking at getting this kit for my 2021 XRC Turbo RR. Did the OEM 15" wheels not clear? Thanks

What grease did you use for the wheel bearings?

I agree that’s a lot but this has made probably the biggest change in the performance of the machine so far.

I have a X3max RS - RR. I live in the mountains, and as stated, stopping power isnt the best. There is an obvious night and day difference between stock and what Agency has come up with in their kit. With the master cylinder problems and the brake fade noted, do you recommend this kit, or wait a little while to see if Agency comes up with a master cylinder and pre-bent brake lines that can handle those beefy rotors and calipers?

Depends on your driving conditions. If you are a go fast for short spurts and not very dusty conditions, go for it. But for extreme use in dusty conditions and hard braking on and off over an hour or more, I’d hold off

The numbers speak for themselves and the most important thing doesn't matter can it go but can it stop

GREAT VIDEO and well done.....however, speaking from experience, do NOT buy these breaks. I have them on my Maverick X3 RS X Turbo R and they are NOT that great. I have been doing brakes for over 40+ years on all make and models of vehicles and I know what I am doing. These were a pain in the a** to bleed and finally get all the air out. Once that was done I did the recommended "break in" suggested from Agency Power for the brakes. Once done, they did brake better than stock however not as good I would have though they would have done especially for the price you pay for them. I have also went through 2 master cylinders and here's why. The master cylinder will only handle so many FT lbs of pressure. These brakes are so beefy that the stock (OEM) MS won't handle the pedal force in a heavy braking situation. Here's why and it's a combination of things. 1. The MS isn't stout enough to handle the brake pressure applied to them for these massive brakes. 2. The stock brake lines are steel braded brake lines and will only handle a certain amount of peddle pressure. When you are applying maximum brake pressure, once the MS is at it's max and there is still more hydraulic pressure applied it has to go somewhere and where it goes is to the weakest point which is the embrace lines. What happens then is the braded brake line EXPAND (budge) out and you lose your braking pressure that should be going to the caliper. 3. Then when this happens, there is soooo much pressure that the MS cant handle the pressure and you blow the plunger seal and it will start to leak. Now, to remedy this problem is simple but time consuming. If you must keep running this very expensive system you will need to change out your brake lines to steel or copper solid brake lines which will put all the braking pressure at the caliper where it belongs giving you the maximum braking pedal for your buggy....but be careful, you can still "over pressurize" the MS.

Yes, all great info. After having this kit I also noticed the brakes fade very easily in heavy dust conditions.

@@RustbeltMechanic Another great point....mine do the same thing and seem to get quickly. I mostly rock crawl with ours and heavy trail riding and you are on the brakes a lot. They get hot quick and peddle fade is very noticeable. Mine also dont react well when they are wet either...how about yours?

@@mikemurphy9953 haven’t really done much in wet, but any dust conditions mixed with heat...quick fade

These brakes are awful IMO. Bought my 3rd X3 with this kit already installed and the brakes are no better than stock (have bled several times...). Over half the 15" wheels I've tried dont even fit. Ripping these things off the car as soon as I can.
