I was playing football at a junior college when Kobe would come and workout during an NBA strike. He brought his personal trainer and was in the weight room with us and he would let players on the basketball team workout with him on the court. Kobe would sometimes take them 1on1 and he would take absurdly technically difficult shots from long distance and off balance with quick movements giving him little time to aim. He would make some and miss some, made most of them honestly. One basketball player got cocky and taunting Kobe saying he had no offense. Then Kobe gave a quick step to get the player off balance and jumped over him dunking the ball like it was a videogame. That kid shut up the rest of the days Kobe was working out there. I've never seen anyone as good at anything than watching Kobe up close playing basketball. He was also very cool and gracious, gave everyone time who wanted to talk to him.
