I feel dumb, cause when a binged the series a few months back, i never even noticed her voice changed between the pilot and episode one, till i saw people point it out on reactions
I more have beef with how exaggerated her southern accent is. Erica's was arguably a bit too subtle (it's definitely there, though), but the new VA does it way too exaggerated. true. By season 2 everyone is used to Millie's voice but there's something about ep 1 that somehow reminds everyone about, sorry to the VA (because I love then now), cringe a bit
Fun fact for Elijah: Moxxie's VA is still the same (Richard Horvitz) however both Stolas and Millie (now Vivian Nixon) have changed, in Millie's case is to lighten the weight on her VA (Erica Lindback), since in the pilot she voiced both Millie and Loona. This series is hilarious, unhinged and can even hit you in the feelings. I think you're gonna love episode 2. NOW WITH MORE HORNY OWLS!!!
Erica also stepped back to open up more roles for other VAs. She could have voiced two characters, but felt it would be better to voice one and have the other open so another actress could have work.
Now that I think about it, "client giving birth" makes no sense, since sinners can't reproduce. I guess there's no reason he can't take a hell born client, but they definitely aren't their target clientele.
You do eventually get used to the new voice for Millie. At first, you think she’s laying on too strong with the accent, but the performance develops well as the series goes on.
The first time I heard Millie's new voice it didn't sit right with me either but after few episodes (honestly the next episode was enough) it somehow worked and now I can't imagine her with the same voice she had in pilot. We just need to give the VA a chance.
Thank you! Honestly when she got upset over the voice change it was like a stab to the heart for me. But you're absolutely right. She just needs to let the new voice sink in for an episode or two, and you won't even care about the change. I really do love the voice she has now. :]
To be honest, Moxxie has an excuse of having his own morals after murdering a kid in the plot by accident. I love how Moxxie is so innocent until he starts swearing and has no problem murdering. 🤣 Also, I just think it's cute how Moxxie refers calling the police as "Summoning 911!"
I heard a theory about Moxxie being unsure of killing a specifically a family because he as an IMP can have his own with Millie, and therefore he projects on having his family murdered or him being killed and leaving his family alone just because one member of it f up, like in this case thinking that the kids won't have a mother because she cheated, and not even getting to know who killed their mother, until they are revealed as psychos
@@aprillee7555 And it may be me looking into it too much, but Moxxie did say he was dreaming of his parents being murdered when Blitzø was being uncomfortably close to him in bed. I know it was for the gag, and it probably was just a throwaway line, but perhaps it was a hint to some tragedy in Moxxie's past which gave him his abstinence from killing families?

Glad to see you like Stolas so much. xD You're going to love this guy. Also a little fact that is so far not really mentioned in the show; Stolas is the prince of astronomy, herbology and precious stones. Hence the constellations and space theme of his bathroom. In the original demonology he is the 36th lesser Key of Solomon and therefore ranked rather high in hell's hierarchy. He is often portrayed as a raven or an long-legged owl with a crown. The show even uses Stolas' summoning sigil from the ancient Ars Goetia book, the same symbol that is also on the book/grimoire Blitz and his crew 'borrow.'
They didn't have a proper voice actor for Millie in the pilot, so the voice actor for luna voiced her in the pilot. So they got a va for the actual series. The voice grows on you after a while
Fun Fact! The reason why Millie's VA changed is bc before, she had the same VA as Loona, and they wanted to take some weight off her shoulders. Plus, Millie always had a bit of an accent, but it wasn't very noticeable in the pilot, so they wanted to make it stand out more. Also!! The VA for Loona is Erica Lindbeck, who is also the voice of Emira Blight!
I think the original voice for Millie was also the voice for Luna, so they probably brought in another voice actress since the show got fully funded. I felt the same exact way about Millie's voice, but a few episodes later and you don't even notice it and forget about the original/it grows on you.
It's acutally the same voice actor and the intended voice for Millie but in the pilot she was holding back her natural accent because she didn't know that's what they were aiming for in the main show. I think the accent just stands out more at first because it's distinctive.
Millie's original voice actor is Erica Lindbeck, who also voiced, and still voices Loona; so she's still with the team. Viv said got a new voice actor because she can tell when a show reuses voice actors and doesn't like it. Most people have that reaction to the new voice, but everyone gets over it and falls in love. If you're far into the series I assume you already have.
Oh this episode is gonna be lit. Nothing like a episode about Family Values, and LEARNING NOT TO SCREW UP in a mission. Also, not to cheat on your wife.
viv actually wanted millie to be more southern since her conception! you can kind of hear it in the og VA but it wasn't what viv wanted. also lightening erikas load since she still voices loona
I hope the mille voice grew on you. I love in one of the newer episodes when she says "If you want my husband, your gonna have to fucking kill me." I LOVE THAT LINE SO MUCH! That is the peak of Mille's VA!
Fun little Easter egg for Elijah, when you listen as Moxxie passes by Blitzø's phone, they are just randomly sensoring what Stolas says and you can even hear him say "While you and I are ******* Jelly Sandwiches!"
I actually didn't care for Vivian Nixon's voice for Millie here either but by the end of episode 2 she'd won me over. The southern drawl she gives Millie is a lot stronger in this episode because I think she was still finding her feet with the character, but from episode 2 onwards her accent is softer and much better.
A lot of people hate Stolas as first but he grows on you by the newest episode he is 100% my favorite character once you get to know him better see him as an actual character rather than a side piece
Fun fact: On the pilot Loona and Millie have the same voice actress. I think they changed Millie's voice because of that, or because of where she comes from in Hell
Did you know? In Blitzø's office in the fish tank the eels are electronic which is similar to Vox from Hazbin hotel also In episode 2 Hazbin hotel- Radio killed the Video star (I forgot). In Vox's little office in the ground we can also see the same exact eels just a bit bigger.
Mara Wilson (Ms. Mayberry) once played a student who saw a teacher as kind and caring. Nowadays, she herself plays a teacher but becomes the total opposite of one when she finds out about her husband cheating on her. Irony?
Damn I love Millie’s current voice 😅 I think I was a bit taken aback when I heard the change for the first time but I can’t imagine her being voiced by anyone else now! I think you’ll grow to like it 😌
I wasn't sure on Millie's new voice either, especially since I live in the South, but after watching all the episodes, I seriously can't imagine her with any other voice. It fits her, you'll see!
In the pilot, the voice actor for Loona is also voicing Millie. The pilot episode is frequently before a fair casting call has been issued to give people a chance to really audition. By auditioning for the characters after the pilot, they resulted in a more diverse cast, and Millie's now voiced by a woman of color.
Since you mentioned the voice changes, I think I might as well point out that Millie and loons actually swapped voices between the pilot and episode one.
I’d like to point out that there’s not only an emergency button for “deranged client” but also for “client giving birth”, “soiled my pants”, and “stolas”. They have an emergency button. For stolas.

Omg, rewatching and I noticed a detail I missed before... *SPOILERS BELOW IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN PRETTY FAR PAST THIS EPISODE* Their eyes are all red in these moments 9:13 and 9:51 … AND they suddenly have sharp teeth...I didn't catch anything with the dad but I might have missed it... I'm wondering if that teacher just got insanely unlucky and her husband got tricked or something... It just is very similar to how other "disguises" have looked like in the human realm. I'm thinking like how Stolas' eyes appeared in that one episode. Like - wild theory here - What if that family is in hiding or something and just used to being hunted by imps at this point and that's why they instantly knew to fight back... Although them not knowing about the fire kind of throws a kink in that theory... It's still weird to me that all of their eyes and teeth do that though.
I've been patiently waiting for this reaction, but I didn't see the notification because I was getting some homework done before the weekend. But I'm excited to see how many times Elijah laughs enough to the point she rewinds! 🤣

They changed Millie's voice because they wanted a different voice actor for each character in the main cast and Loona's actress did double duty in the pilot. Fun fact, the voice actress for Loona and the first Millie is the same one that does is also the voice for Amity's sister Emira in the Owl House.
Millie's voice will grow on you, I hated it at first too but once the story progresses you'll see why she has an accent like that aswell. Also be prepared to cry in some of the episodes. :)

Fun fact about Millie's voice: a voice actress hadn't been hired yet by the time the pilot was set to come out so Loona's voice actor, Erica Lindbeck, did the voice for her with southern accent they wanted for Millie. The intention was always for her to have a different voice actress.
It always amazes me how so few people notice the child's head mounted on the wall and the human spine lamp post that show exactly the type of family this is well before they make it obvious.
Love how Moxxie immediatly gets riled up the moment he sees Millie in danger. Hope we see the same with Millie at one point in the series, going crazy to save Moxxie. Edit: This aged well. I'm glad you got the chance to check this out :) Yeah, a lot of people had a hard time adjusting to Millie's different voice, so I can understand why you'd be upset about it. But yeah, this was a lot of fun, especially seeing the animation and the plot lines getting somewhat more serious while still intermixing it with comedy and heart
Well, I mean, they changed the voice actor for Millie because in the pilot she was still being voiced by Loona's voice actor. Honestly, once you get used to it her new voice actor is really wonderful and portrays her really well
I´m sure Millie's & Stolas new voices will grow on you as it did to me. I was also unsure that I would get used to their new voices, being used to the pilot ones, yet now I can´t think of any other voices to these hell creatures ;)

Fan of both Owl House and Helluva Boss.
Trust me, this series is just getting started. You are in for a rollercoaster of emotions.
@@lalaloopsy_33 I know right? 😭
*Can't wait for your reaction to episode 2*
Imo, the best episodes of the series so far include: S1 Ep 2 / S1 Ep 5 / S1 Ep 6 / S1 Ep 7 & S2 Ep 1
viv actually wanted millie to be more southern since her conception! you can kind of hear it in the og VA but it wasn't what viv wanted. also lightening erikas load since she still voices loona
Woman: *Cheats on husband*
LITERALLY everyone in this episode: *"YoURe a HeRo!!!"* 🤣
It's the double standard.
Stop blowing up the chat
Given their morals, or lack thereof, I doubt the husband even cares. Plus they're cannibals, so what better way to lure in victims?
I mean, isn't that how the entire fandom views Stolas?xD
When you listen closely during the bathtub scene you can hear a melody, this melody gets used for a song later in season 2 And is Stolas’ theme!!
After a long bad week, seeing Elijah's reaction is pure joy
Ikr?
Fun fact: On the pilot Loona and Millie have the same voice actress. I think they changed Millie's voice because of that, or because of where she comes from in Hell
The voice changes actually grow on you, especially makes sense when you see the later episodes
I honestly feel like Millie’s voice is one of those voices that grow on you overtime, I personally love the southern drawl.
Stolas: jelly sandwiches
That in the background when he is still on the phone killed me
Can't wait to see her reaction to Octavia and "You Will Be Okay."
You're gonna love the second episode. Especially the beginning.
Elijah's reaction to Millie's voice change was so similar to my own XD
I didn't notice it earlier, but while Stolas is in the bath those are Constellations floating around, Foreshadowing the reveal of what his job is.
Mara Wilson (Ms. Mayberry) once played a student who saw a teacher as kind and caring. Nowadays, she herself plays a teacher but becomes the total opposite of one when she finds out about her husband cheating on her. Irony?
She also played Lily in Thomas and the Magic Railroad!
Damn I love Millie’s current voice 😅 I think I was a bit taken aback when I heard the change for the first time but I can’t imagine her being voiced by anyone else now! I think you’ll grow to like it 😌
“What kind of family is this?!”
Me: A murder family 😏
I feel like your gonna like how this show handles charicter progression
I wasn't sure on Millie's new voice either, especially since I live in the South, but after watching all the episodes, I seriously can't imagine her with any other voice. It fits her, you'll see!
In the pilot, the voice actor for Loona is also voicing Millie. The pilot episode is frequently before a fair casting call has been issued to give people a chance to really audition. By auditioning for the characters after the pilot, they resulted in a more diverse cast, and Millie's now voiced by a woman of color.
Millie’s voice sounds more like the pilot voice as the episodes go on. At first it was a bit of a shock but it sounds better throughout the series
Yeah, they went from “too subtle” to “not subtle enough”, but eventually found a happy compromise.
Since you mentioned the voice changes, I think I might as well point out that Millie and loons actually swapped voices between the pilot and episode one.
"What kind of family is this?"
Have you ever seen the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"
I’d like to point out that there’s not only an emergency button for “deranged client” but also for “client giving birth”, “soiled my pants”, and “stolas”. They have an emergency button. For stolas.
Don't engage with *Adib Nuqman.* It is a bot that steals others' comments. These bots usually steal comments from the same video, and that makes them pretty obvious. But *Adib Nuqman* seems to pull them from different videos on the same topic. Thus, it's easier to reap those sweet likes.
Stolas is my favourite character, so I'm so hyped you're already invested in him! I love that weird horny owl demon so much.
Omg, rewatching and I noticed a detail I missed before...
*SPOILERS BELOW IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN PRETTY FAR PAST THIS EPISODE*
Their eyes are all red in these moments 9:13 and 9:51 … AND they suddenly have sharp teeth...I didn't catch anything with the dad but I might have missed it...
For anyone curious: Pilot Millie was Loona's VA as well and they didn't want anyone voicing two characters.
Personally I love Vivian Nixon's southern drawl for Millie's voice. It was a bit of a shock at first but now I think it suits her well.
AHHHH! i cant wait for you to watch more of this, its so funny and i love Solace and Moxxie
I've been patiently waiting for this reaction, but I didn't see the notification because I was getting some homework done before the weekend. But I'm excited to see how many times Elijah laughs enough to the point she rewinds! 🤣
OH YEAA CAN'T WAIT FOR THE PREMIERE!!
“BLESS THIS MESS” MY ASS OMFG
I just think it's cute how Moxxie refers calling the police as "summoning 911"

Ironic that I got into Helluva Boss 3 days ago and now that I'm obsessed I get this!
4:47 she went from 😁 to 😯
4:10: Reaction starts here.
Also, love the Morgan Terry shirt. I actually started watching her HelluvaBoss reactions recently.
They changed Millie's voice because they wanted a different voice actor for each character in the main cast and Loona's actress did double duty in the pilot. Fun fact, the voice actress for Loona and the first Millie is the same one that does is also the voice for Amity's sister Emira in the Owl House.
Can't wait to see her reaction to this episode and the rest of the show IT'S SO FUNNY. 💀 (and not kid friendly 😨)
Millie's voice will grow on you, I hated it at first too but once the story progresses you'll see why she has an accent like that aswell. Also be prepared to cry in some of the episodes. :)
The most impressive part about Blitzo is that he manages to find the "Deranged Client" button without even looking, he's got all the buttons memorized.

So glad to hear I'm not the only person on the planet who actually vastly preferred Millie's pilot voice.
Fun fact about Millie's voice: a voice actress hadn't been hired yet by the time the pilot was set to come out so Loona's voice actor, Erica Lindbeck, did the voice for her with southern accent they wanted for Millie. The intention was always for her to have a different voice actress.
ok so her reactions with the whole "Oh no" and the shocked faces are just hilarious.
Everyone had the same reaction to Millie's voice, but I'm sure it'll grow on you
I have to say I wasn't a big fan of the first episode but I kept watching and ended up loving the show
It always amazes me how so few people notice the child's head mounted on the wall and the human spine lamp post that show exactly the type of family this is well before they make it obvious.
Moxxie is so sweet!!! He has a good heart!!!!!
She feels the feeling we all felt about the Hazbin recasts
Love how Moxxie immediatly gets riled up the moment he sees Millie in danger. Hope we see the same with Millie at one point in the series, going crazy to save Moxxie.
Edit: This aged well. XD I watch every episodes when they come out, so you guys can stop telling me when she does save him in some episodes, I saw them. XD And I'll also keep watching the future episodes as well.

You need to upgrade your bot. You didn't edit your comment, and no one replied to you.
Millie's new voice actor finds her groove after episode 1 or 2, I felt the same way when this all started out but she grew on me over time.
I know it's a change, but this voice (Vivian Nixon) is how Vivzie originally envisioned Millie to sound.
Hey Elijah! If you want to get more info about the characters life the creators have made Instagrams for them! And they're pretty hilarious!
Millie’s voice is different because having an accent ties in with her character and background much better
I'm glad you got the chance to check this out :)
Yeah, a lot of people had a hard time adjusting to Millie's different voice, so I can understand why you'd be upset about it.
But yeah, this was a lot of fun, especially seeing the animation and the plot lines getting somewhat more serious while still intermixing it with comedy and heart
Well, I mean, they changed the voice actor for Millie because in the pilot she was still being voiced by Loona's voice actor. Honestly, once you get used to it her new voice actor is really wonderful and portrays her really well
The part that the owl guy says let’s make a deal. Remind me of when Alastor made a deal with Charlie in HAZBIN HOTEL
I honestly perfer Millie's new voice more because her previous voice made her sound underaged for Moxxie.
I´m sure Millie's & Stolas new voices will grow on you as it did to me. I was also unsure that I would get used to their new voices, being used to the pilot ones, yet now I can´t think of any other voices to these hell creatures ;)
