57:16 this entire section of Mario mindlessly attacking him, followed by him whining and going on an edgy tantrum about his own allies is still hysterical as all hell to me. Instead of going to comfort the one who actually got hurt, he chooses to out of character attack an innocent witness.

It’s funny how Daisy didn’t even attack Wart when she was getting kidnapped. In Mario Party 3, she straight up slapped Bowser in one cutscene, making him fly off into the skies, which scares me to know how powerful Daisy is.
Because Wart was using the Habitants as Hostages , because if she refuse to go with him or cooperate , he would have ordered to the Shroobs to destroy Saralanda

Finally got around to watching the rest of this! Absolutely phenomenal breakdown of the entire series. I didn’t grow up with the series myself; I grew up with SMBZ instead. I only watched Episode 2 when I was really young but found myself really impressed with it. Also, the segment with everyone reacting to the manga was priceless! Bear was knocking it outta the park with the acting lmao. Would love to see more videos like this alongside the reviews! EDIT: 32:47 I JUST realised that this is a Monsters Inc reference! They chose a very obscure scene to reference though, for some reason.
There's also something pretty significant about the manga that seemed to go unnoticed or unmentioned in the video: If you go down to the description of each manga page on DeviantArt (Every part of episode 12-15), Asylus always labels them as being his half of an "art trade" with UltimateSaiyanEddy. I know you did point out that the episodes were written by UltimateSaiyanEddy rather than Asylus, and that Asylus is still to blame for letting this happen to his series (I agree, by the way), but this little tidbit adds so many questions to the manga situation. Like, is the manga only a thing because of these "art trades"? Were these the original plans for episode 12-15 and just sorta got refined by Eddy, or was the bulk of it actually his ideas and writing? Were some of the later episodes of the "anime" actually written by him, too? It'd certainly explain some of the weird quirks, like the fourth wall breaking and scenes taken and quoted wholesale from other media, both of which were a lot less common (or not even present at all) in the original few episodes, only really starting to get bad after the Goomboss episode. The manga is chock full of the kind of content that made the last few episodes suck. Even had a worse filler episode than any parts of the anime, with the horrendously bad and time wasting Tony Goomba/Agent Violet disaster. It's a really weird situation. Asylus himself is still entirely at fault, yeah, but it's interesting nonetheless how this all could've happened.
Well... you see, aparently eddy and Asylus are friends and he has been helping with the overall pacing and the manga version. I know about this for a comment made by the user "eddygarcia3503" in the meme man's video "The Best Sprite Battle Episode goes to..."
@@Pyotr-iv1dz I'm aware that they're friends and Eddy has a hand in SMBHOTS, but that still doesn't explain the art trade thing or really any of the questions addressed in my message.
In regard to the part about the "8-Bits" name reference being a fourth wall break due to the name never appearing in any games: Honestly, it shouldn't count as a fourth wall break even if the name is referencing hardware. Like you acknowledged yourself, it's the canon name of Wart's gang. The fact that it's never been mentioned outside of manuals and wikis isn't really important, because there hasn't really been any opportunities for the name to be established in games. Wart only has had two significant appearances: Super Mario Bros 2/Doki Doki Panic and Link's Awakening. SMB2/DDP has little-to-no dialog outside of the intros and endings, and Wart's Link's Awakening appearance is in an alternate universe, with the character having very little in common with the Mario equivalent outside of name and appearance (and even then, it's his Japanese name of Mamu). On top of that, instruction manuals were a way of establishing plot back in the NES era in lieu of the cutscenes that would become more prevalent in subsequent generations. It was the norm.
32:49 to explain this line, its a reference to monsters inc, where mike wazowski is trapped in the scream extractor by randall and fungus, and he tries to negotiate with fungus. he uses that exact wording.
21:08 There is actually a chinesse channel called MKDU - 動畫中譯 that saved the entire series on a playlist, including the whole episode 11. Don't worry the dialogues remain the same, it's just chinesse subbed
32:54 This seems to be a 1:1 copy of a line from Monsters. Inc. actually. When Mike gets captured he says this line to try and get out of the situation he's in.
Happens a lot in this series. Like, the part with the Princess Shroob clones was apparently lifted from Spy Kids 3, and while I can't put my finger on it, I'm like 1000% sure the Mario Bros speech about Wart's "destiny" is copied from something else, too, because it's so out of place and different from the typical SMBHOTS writing.
another pretty clear example is the general shrooz's speech to Peach, that is quite literally line for line stealing from adventure time, at the episode "escape from the citadel" the lich's "fall" speech. I have more examples of plagiarized lines: The goomboss "instructions" to Tony about how activate Iron Body are the same as Garnet's on Steven Universe shield episode. The Princess Shroob speech trying to convince Peach to join her and her torute is the same as Bill Cipher on Weridmageddon, just addapted to the mario universe The agent violet's original plan for Tony to infiltrate among the Shroobs is the same as Kowalski's in the Madagascar Penguins series in the episode "Out of the Groove" And I'm not sure, but i feel that the page 17 of the chapter 13 is copied from something else too.
Said it in a reply to a different comment, but the moment with Hal, Steve and Jeff forming their team in Episode 11 Part 1 was straight up from Sonic for Hire’s Casino Zone trilogy in Season 3
@@Pyotr-iv1dz Is it the scene of Violet and Tony interrogating Dr. Shroob? Because looking at the comments section of that Deviation, it was apparently taken from Family Guy. There's two different comments mentioning it as being from Family Guy.
The whole lore of this series is confusing because some games are canon while others are not. Superstar Saga happened but every Mario and Luigi afterwards didn't… Also, Mimi being Fawful's niece makes no sense at all.
46:31 Wow, what a totally normal thing to include in this official comic adaptation/continuation of a famous SMBZlike, and not the writer's... y'know what, no. It's not the writer's poorly-disguised fetish. It's not disguised at all. It's 100% overt. They just straight-up put their inflation fetish into Heroes of the Stars. What the actual fuck? Why?
Hear me out. I will scrapped inflation scene and replaced by something fitting like Cape or Flying form, so you don’t have to be mad at me. Just saying.
Unfortunately, it's not even the only one to do it and not even the most egregious. Fellow Mario sprite series "Mario & Luigi: The Mask" had an entire inflation fetish based episode with Daisy.
@@KratosGoji91-StarHero91 Oh hey, you're back. I was worried you were locked out of RUclips again when I saw your account was gone (at least on the links in the description of the other videos). What happened?
I can't believe Rabbid Peach is in the Heroes of The Stars canon. As someone who's childhood involved both Heroes of The Stars and the Rabbids franchise don't know how to properly react to this information?! Edit: Ok rewatching this video and I find out The Megabug and Cursa (the main villains of Mario + Rabbids 1 and 2) get a mention as well.
Oh yeah another thing, at around 43:47 with the lesson numbering joke, not sure which came first but the Sonic Boom show actually had the same joke in the episode eggheads.
29:21 Not so fun fact, Goji is infamous for having an inflation fetish and at some point made a tease to a comic about Tuff from Kirby: Right Back at Ya inflating himself and was the guy behind the Balloon Flower in Mario and Luigi The Mask
Even if it was initially Asylus' idea, it was ultimately the creator of M&L:TM who decided to use the idea and animate that episode. It's probably not right for Asylus to shoulder the blame on that 100%.
@@FloridusMan He definitely shouldn't have proposed the idea in the first place, but at the same time, it also makes the M&L:TM creator look bad. Like, not only did he accept the idea of making an entire episode be about a fetish, but the fact that he did also kinda outs him for likely having that fetish himself (because why would someone who doesn't have an inflation fetish animate a full inflation based episode of their own flagship series?).
I am kind of inspired by the series in a way that I want to make a sprite series but I still don't have that creative spark, hopefully I'll have that spark elsewhere. (By the way my favorite scene is when Mario and Bowser decked the shit out of goomboss.)
@samtendo6080 From experience (although I prefer to work on a sprite comic and pure writing first, as I'm not ready for animation yet), the creative spark comes as you gradually experience other sprite series, and most importantly, when you mix that up with your own hobbies. So, the creative spark when you gradually realize that the most unique thing you can bring to the table is _y o u._ Then it's a matter of understanding wtf you can and can't do with available resources. You'd have trouble making a completely original series with only fan or original characters because sprites for those are limited, but if you play a lot of different games or use the Spriter's Ressources to check backgrounds, objects, and set pieces, the creative juices flow easier. TL;DR: You need a mixture of knowledge, experience, self-acceptance, resources, and research. The exact balance of all of those depend on the kind of person you are. Example: For me, I have a lot of knowledge, little experience, lots of self-acceptance, little resources, but tons of research capabilities. So, I know I have to practice experience and getting resource - like sprite sheets, sprite edits, and using ripping tools - more than the rest.
I recalled reading some comment saying that SMBZ should adapt to manga. After witnessing this video, boy am I glad Mark didn't go through with such an idea now. also nice mentioning of m is bad at 27:51 btw. never would've ever thought about something like *that* to be mentioned at all.
@@MMG2489 How do you like The Mask too much? That series is so messed up, Luigi been possessed by the Mask at first was fine, but his character completely derails after some episodes and he gets more and more insane and threatning the life of a lot of people in the kingdom and even starts to get anxious and angry when the Mask is taken from him, It feels like he is addicted to cocaine or some shit and this isn't funny at all, its seriously messed up. Plus, what about Daisy? She started great but then she becomes inflated and then a GIANTESS? Bro, this is way more DeviantArty than HOTS ever were. Plus the Black Snake thing that is super unnerving and disgusting. Mario & Luigi The Mask is for me one of the worst Sprite Animations I've seen, I prefer the Smashinity ones than this crap, it might have good ideas but for me the plot is so attrocious that I personally want to never see it again.
When I watched the last episodes that got the animation treatment for the first time, I thought the series was in a decent spot (could be better but could also be a lot worse), but the sprite comics showed me how dire its current state is. Let's just hope the animated iterations go in a different direction (and that episode 13 is its own what-if scenario that never happened in the series' canon)! Edit: 52:34 Second best moment in the video
Can you talk of a Sprite Series who is basically forgotten and Epic and Underrated at same time? I m talking of Sonic Two World Collide, a Crossover with Sonic and Goku searching the Emeralds and Dragon Balls to stop Broly and Mecha Sonic but at difference of others copyes of Smbz this have more originality of Story and ONE WHO HAVE CLOSED with an END Would you do to talk about this Movie?
It's a sprite movie rather than a series, to be fair. I know it has two parts, but still! That said, I don't think it should even be considered an SMBZ clone; as it also takes elements from Sonic: Nazo Unleashed. It's also pretty nice that Mecha Sonic features a new form specifically for Two World Collide! Definitely under-utilized, but fun to watch.
To me, it feels like that Super Mario Bros: Heroes of the Stars was cancelled. Same thing for Super Mario Bros. Z, since we didn't get anymore epsiodes after the ninth episode.
i first watched the series when i was younger, and on his first channel, before it got terminated by hackers. holy crap how i was oblivious to the less than stellar jokes, the COPYING & PASTING OF DIALOGUE!? i guess i should expect that from a deviantartist. but above all, why was there the need for Tony and Violet to be doing the deed? wtf
Now that Asylus has started from scratch with a reboot for the series maybe we'll finally get to the series return to it's former glory and maybe he'll fix the previous problems the show in general had like the filler, occasionally badly written dialogue, constant 4th wall breaks and questionable characterisation (at times)
Can we talk about that, you know the plagiarized lines that people take as "references". A problem that has been increasing on the manga, a pretty clear example is the general shrooz's speech to Peach, that is quite literally line for line stealing from adventure time, at the episode "escape from the citadel" the lich's "fall" speech.
@@Pyotr-iv1dz it makes the characters feel like cardboard cutouts, they clash way too much with what they are actually saying that all meaning is lost. It gets incredibly annoying when trying to understand this grand narrative asylus is trying to tell even though eventually it becomes some lame reference fest.
I just wanna point that Mario canonicity in this series is so messy. TTYD is seemingly not canon since Mario doesn't remember Goombella's Tattle ability in Ep. 11, then Ep. 15 actively confirms the games with the Rabbids are canon as Mario mentions Megabug and Cursa during the wall of text (Also "The Ugly Fuck" Rabbid Peach makes a cameo) The funny bit is that the Rabbids games are specifically not canon due to being an alternative universe, so what's canon and what isn't canon in this series??? P.S: 1:01:50 Luigi HD Mouth
Mario + rabbids is not a parallel universe The posters in the room of the girl who invented the supamerge prove it’s the actual Mario universe Phantom mentions games like donkey Kong and Mario kart which affect Mario internally Luigi mansion and again donkey Kong events are referenced in the games Bowser confirms Mario galaxy events happened in sparks of hope and beep-0 confirmed that bowser also kidnaps peach continuously and the dorrie we meet in the last spark hunter dlc is the same dorrie from Mario 64 and odyssey Not to mention the creator of the Mario + rabbids games staring the games aren’t canon gets debunked not only by the series but also by the fact he doubts his own authority to decide the canon and by the fact miyamoto stated the rabbids are free to mess with Mario world as they like The real error is that in sparks of hope peach toghether the others saves rosalina from cursa meaning they should already know each other yet the first episode implies that the two have never met before in their lives
Also for ttyd and argubly pm 64 you could have just used the fact both goombella nor Colorado recognize Mario but then again Mario knows about the star rod but then again the star rod was present in Mario party 8 so ( even thought if that was the case then Mario should remember the star spirits since he met them in Mario party 5 )
Honestly, the violet x tony part was out of place. It felt less like a mario sprite series and more like deviantart fetish shit(i guess it is technically that), especially with how violet doesnt even feel like she belongs in mario. The worst part, violets character info states shes 22, and tony goomba says he's 16, so this is pedophilia. Since the series is being rebooted, i hope asylus either changes her design and rewrites her character or just remove her entirely.
I think what aggravates me the most about the violet x tony part is how easily it could've been made cool/sweet/wholesome/fine. •Tony is trying to become a powerful Goomba, and is told that there are various kinds. Given the sheer amount of M&L and Paper Mario 64 in the HOTS universe (and that this whole arc is he tries to join Violet in spy work), they could've made him a gadget that allows him to turn into the different types of goombas, which he learns to master over time until he's in a situation in which none of his equipment's forms would help until he learns to use Iron Body. If Violet gives/makes him that tool, it shows that she already cares, but also foreshadows that he needs to do something himself rather than rely solely on her in order for him to be by her side. Classic thing, sure, but this episode was a classic Sexy Spy meets Hot-Headed Soldier plotline already. •Tony was supposed to go fetch the Super Crown before meeting her. I just- the Super Crown was literally name-dropped and then made fun off. If they really needed to go in a romantic direction, they could've found one and then modified it so that Tony could have a humanoid male form (rather than just being a Peach clone) he uses specifically to have a wholesome relationship with Violet. It doesn't even bother me that she's obviously out of place, since she's apparently from New Donk City, and all the humans there are normal humans in the Mario world, so whatever, honestly. ...The Metal Slug rebel soldiers at the end were a bit much, though. XD •Oh, and obviously, they should've made sure that one of them wasn't a minor. I mean, Tony's a Goomba. It honestly would be completely fine if he was 18 instead of 16, his appearance and behavior wouldn't have to change in any way. But yeah, seriously, it's like the writer for this thing went out of his way to make it was as wrong as he could think of, when all the tools to undo every problem were _right there._
Well technically the rpgs are actually canon just that many people don’t know about it the creator had stated every Mario we see in the games is the same one from the main timeline even paper jam can’t disprove it because Origami king had disproved them being different
The trivago ad was used in a lot of countries I think, not just in Brazil. And those credits I just grabbed them from a random video, wasn't really meant to be Brazilian. Despite all that however...ya eu falo lusófono, sou é Português.
I watch this yesterday.. It always is better for reviews to make it entertaining but not really hate blaming or anything Is a better way to handle and let people know.. Also what happened while you we're gone LMAO
Asylus shoehorning in Bowser's Kingdom characters was always the most nonsensical thing to me. I get he really liked the series and characters and yeah, it's a classic, but Bowser's Kingdom's character do not make sense in the context of a SMBZ-like series. They only appeared briefly in SMBZ due to Alvin and the creators of Bowser's Kingdom being friends and it was continuing off of a joke in Bowser's Kingdom where they ended up in the SMBZ dimension, and even then, at least the creators were still around to voice them. They sound, and act, so unlike themselves in HOTS, and it makes me wonder how pthouse and araskin felt if they ever saw it for themselves. I would probably just be laughing my ass off over how dumb it is seeing my niche sprite animation series when I was in college almost a decade prior get represented and mishandled so poorly.

Ok not to hate but I wanna pick up some reasonings with i see some points were flawed 2:20 even if it was a parallel dimension it’s not said the mushroom kingdom would have looked the same in the original world 3:13 cough cough tatanga cough cough valiant comics cough cough Mario run cough cough daisy slapped bowser can he scared her cough cough 4:50 think of it as peach sections from paper Mario 64 and ttyd but not well expressed 5:05 I don’t see the problem peach whole thing is being the light side of the star power and contrast evil that’s why her energy was needed to weaken the dark star in bowser inside story heck showtime proves this point even more and for princess shroob not just taking the earrings of she did say she likes challenges which yes I agree it would have been better write that peach magic can make sure her earrings don’t get torn off but it is what it is 7:15 ok this is a complete red herring because it’s shown multiple times in the series with that the heroes not knowing starlow, the dark star and fawful being alive that the events of bowser inside story did NOT HAPPEN and if dream teams happens after bowser inside story where starlow is present and they know each other and the whole premise of the game was that of travelling and saving the dream world and in this series Mario and Luigi didn’t even know subcon which yes actually yes exist as a dream world was not a “physical” place disproving their knowledge of dreams being actually separate worlds that can be explored and so destroying 95% of dream team story how does dream team events destroy Luigi character in this episode ? The second point actually talking about Luigi events in the series was good so 8:00 you can just say that Mario wasn’t giving his all and I can confirm there were times Luigi was stronger than Mario 8:06 no he isn’t Mario has much better feats in terms of kindness 8:07 not in partners in time which unlike all the other games Mario jumping higher is lore canon 8:30 game mechanics 9:51 they have world building and minimal story except galaxy and odyssey so you couldn’t 10:03 Mario also met the star spirits and the star rod in Mario party 5 and 8 respectively and superstar saga events are canon to this series ( not to mention paper Mario is a completely different universe from the mainline one ) 11:18 while the point for the village is true the warp star litteraly crossed interstellar distances which is many times the speed of light all the tanuki suit did was to fly outside of earth orbit which is at best an massively hypersonic feat and not to mention the first point can be debunked for the fact you can argue Mario planet is much bigger than our own so travelling to another continent would take much more time that flying into orbit 23:30 Mario is the main character heck even without that his importance should be ignored heck even in smash bros despite being created by Kirby and pit creator it shows multiple times Mario importance throughout statements 56:15 Amelia rose is Amy actual name … in the Archie comics 57:25 like seriously this not just against Mario character in this series but against Mario character as a whole sure there were times like he was going to punch gaz in Mario rpg but those were gags not actual drama 58:33 months !? I have to admit that the series lista lot of it’s light. It totally makes the sevens to much dragon bullish or too one piecelish. It kid of kills it for me. I know this is an inspiration from smbz but it completely ruins it for me. In the last Godzilla vs koopzila movie I really deslike it. I actually prefer more the 2014 Godzilla vs koopzila movie, it was better, in this movie the fight between Godzilla and bowser was intensively personal, while in the remake was more like a naruto vs sasuke fight and also more dragon balllish. I just hope third remake becomes better than the second.

EDIT: 32:47 I JUST realised that this is a Monsters Inc reference! They chose a very obscure scene to reference though, for some reason.
There's also something pretty significant about the manga that seemed to go unnoticed or unmentioned in the video:
If you go down to the description of each manga page on DeviantArt (Every part of episode 12-15), Asylus always labels them as being his half of an "art trade" with UltimateSaiyanEddy.
The mushroom kingdom has fallen. Millions of toads have perished.
OMG that part with Mario breaking down and crying is godtier comedy gold
In regard to the part about the "8-Bits" name reference being a fourth wall break due to the name never appearing in any games:
Honestly, it shouldn't count as a fourth wall break even if the name is referencing hardware.
I can’t wait for the M&L the mask review with this level of quality! Of course not as long as this but still!

47:15 now this gives a whole nother meaning to the acronym "HOTS"
The Princess Shroob speech trying to convince Peach to join her and her torute is the same as Bill Cipher on Weridmageddon, just addapted to the mario universe
The agent violet's original plan for Tony to infiltrate among the Shroobs is the same as Kowalski's in the Madagascar Penguins series in the episode "Out of the Groove"
And I'm not sure, but i feel that the page 17 of the chapter 13 is copied from something else too.

Wow, what a totally normal thing to include in this official comic adaptation/continuation of a famous SMBZlike, and not the writer's... y'know what, no.

I remember that he commissioned someone on devianart to make a Mabel (kirby) fetish art. Why specifically Kirby characters?
@@firstnamelastnamesb fair enough but still not looking good for him
@@Pyotr-iv1dz Not as bad as Gloria and other weird fetish art in his favorites but still proving how bad it is for how openly he's into this
@@FloridusMan He definitely shouldn't have proposed the idea in the first place, but at the same time, it also makes the M&L:TM creator look bad. Like, not only did he accept the idea of making an entire episode be about a fetish, but the fact that he did also kinda outs him for likely having that fetish himself (because why would someone who doesn't have an inflation fetish animate a full inflation based episode of their own flagship series?).
23:29-SMBZ reboot leaves the chatroom.
38:13 I swear to you that line is taken word from word from a gumball episode
They made a gumball reference in the hal and Jeff part where Steve shows them a message.
Yeah it's from the episode where Gumball finds out Banana Joe's Mom can predict the future
So, the creative spark when you gradually realize that the most unique thing you can bring to the table is _y o u._
Then it's a matter of understanding wtf you can and can't do with available resources.

Yes, I have. In fact, the Mask is my second favorite sprite series of all time.
@@MMG2489 yes, and it is different. It is not based on Dragon ball or one piece. And it has a cool plot
@@MMG2489 How do you like The Mask too much? Would you do to talk about this Movie?
It's a sprite movie rather than a series, to be fair. I know it has two parts, but still!
That said, I don't think it should even be considered an SMBZ clone; as it also takes elements from Sonic: Nazo Unleashed.
It's also pretty nice that Mecha Sonic features a new form specifically for Two World Collide! Definitely under-utilized, but fun to watch.

Now that Asylus has started from scratch with a reboot for the series maybe we'll finally get to the series return to it's former glory and maybe he'll fix the previous problems the show in general had like the filler, occasionally badly written dialogue, constant 4th wall breaks and questionable characterisation (at times)

Shame I wasn’t invited for the comic reading but I understand
I just wanna point that Mario canonicity in this series is so messy.
TTYD is seemingly not canon since Mario doesn't remember Goombella's Tattle ability in Ep. 11, then Ep. 15 actively confirms the games with the Rabbids are canon as Mario mentions Megabug and Cursa during the wall of text (Also "The Ugly Fuck" Rabbid Peach makes a cameo)
The funny bit is that the Rabbids games are specifically not canon due to being an alternative universe, so what's canon and what isn't canon in this series???
P.S: 1:01:50 Luigi HD Mouth
What's also funny is that Bowsers Kingdom is canon, but not the paper mario games.
@@turbobist2889 Wtf going on in HOTS Canon
Mario + rabbids is not a parallel universe
The posters in the room of the girl who invented the supamerge prove it’s the actual Mario universe
Phantom mentions games like donkey Kong and Mario kart which affect Mario internally
Luigi mansion and again donkey Kong events are referenced in the games
Bowser confirms Mario galaxy events happened in sparks of hope and beep-0 confirmed that bowser also kidnaps peach continuously and the dorrie we meet in the last spark hunter dlc is the same dorrie from Mario 64 and odyssey
Not to mention the creator of the Mario + rabbids games staring the games aren’t canon gets debunked not only by the series but also by the fact he doubts his own authority to decide the canon and by the fact miyamoto stated the rabbids are free to mess with Mario world as they like
The real error is that in sparks of hope peach toghether the others saves rosalina from cursa meaning they should already know each other yet the first episode implies that the two have never met before in their lives
@@turbobist2889yeah cause this is a fanmade project and paper Mario is canonically a parallel universe from the mainline timeline

47:15 "insert not like us intro here"
Honestly, the violet x tony part was out of place.
It's more creepy considering the theory that tony goomba is based on a friend of Asylus
oh damn, the age part makes it like, 17 times worse
XD
•Oh, and obviously, they should've made sure that one of them wasn't a minor. I mean, Tony's a Goomba. It honestly would be completely fine if he was 18 instead of 16, his appearance and behavior wouldn't have to change in any way.
But yeah, seriously, it's like the writer for this thing went out of his way to make it was as wrong as he could think of, when all the tools to undo every problem were _right there._
sorry I wasn't able to make it to the debut
32:34 this is how you turn me into a wheezer

4:50 think of it as peach sections from paper Mario 64 and ttyd but not well expressed
5:05 I don’t see the problem peach whole thing is being the light side of the star power and contrast evil that’s why her energy was needed to weaken the dark star in bowser inside story heck showtime proves this point even more and for princess shroob not just taking the earrings of she did say she likes challenges which yes I agree it would have been better write that peach magic can make sure her earrings don’t get torn off but it is what it is
7:15 ok this is a complete red herring because it’s shown multiple times in the series with that the heroes not knowing starlow, the dark star and fawful being alive that the events of bowser inside story did NOT HAPPEN and if dream teams happens after bowser inside story where starlow is present and they know each other and the whole premise of the game was that of travelling and saving the dream world and in this series Mario and Luigi didn’t even know subcon which yes actually yes exist as a dream world was not a “physical” place disproving their knowledge of dreams being actually separate worlds that can be explored and so destroying 95% of dream team story how does dream team events destroy Luigi character in this episode ? The second point actually talking about Luigi events in the series was good so
8:00 you can just say that Mario wasn’t giving his all and I can confirm there were times Luigi was stronger than Mario
8:06 no he isn’t Mario has much better feats in terms of kindness
8:07 not in partners in time which unlike all the other games Mario jumping higher is lore canon
8:30 game mechanics
9:51 they have world building and minimal story except galaxy and odyssey so you couldn’t
10:03 Mario also met the star spirits and the star rod in Mario party 5 and 8 respectively and superstar saga events are canon to this series ( not to mention paper Mario is a completely different universe from the mainline one )
11:18 while the point for the village is true the warp star litteraly crossed interstellar distances which is many times the speed of light all the tanuki suit did was to fly outside of earth orbit which is at best an massively hypersonic feat and not to mention the first point can be debunked for the fact you can argue Mario planet is much bigger than our own so travelling to another continent would take much more time that flying into orbit
