personally, i dont think this Batman movie is gona be that good so I'll be watching in about 2-3 weeks after release so the theater wont be as full of people. i dont know what everyone is seeing from these trailers that makes them think the movie is gona be good when they even stole certain shots from Nolan's batman (any originality please?) Im just not sold on this movie and i feel that everyone praising it is just another Zack Synder nut licker (awful director)
March 1st....4 years of waiting comes down to 5 days. Hope it lives up to expectations.

It also shows, how Bruce could've easily been a mob boss, if things went slightly different. That would be a great story, a multiverse version of Bruce where he's Falcone's right hand.
Bruce could’ve easily been a mob boss and Batman could’ve easily been a villain. This is what always made Batman so great. He came from a questionable upbringing, experienced traumatic loss, has every excuse to become the villain, and yet still chooses to be a hero.
Scary though. Knowing if Bruce ever became Falcone's right hand man, the crime family would've been highly unstoppable and nobody above the law would touch Carmine. Even James Gordon would've been fucked by now.
@@lionelt7882 kinda strange, right? Of all what Bruce had lost, and all the misery he carries, Bruce chose to make a difference instead. Every villains has a similar background like Bruce does, that often lead them into dark paths and commit crime within a reason, which motivate them to begin with. But Bruce, on the other hand, was something else, despite his anger and all the wealth he's inherited.

I actually love John Turturro's take as Carmine Falcone since the actor is an Italian American. It feels so natural and cool at the same time. I can't wait to see more of him in this movie!

The Long Halloween reference coming into play was so good. You also have Batman: Year One as an influence. What's awesome is Frank Miller who wrote Long Halloween was a victim of Bullseye played by Colin Farrell in Daredevil when he steals his bike in the beginning of the film.
Frank Miller did no write the long halloween. That's Jeff Leob and Tim Sale.

Ahhhh this movie is gonna be so fucking good, I was a wee bit nervous about the Bruce Wayne side of things but after seeing this and the clip with him and Alfred I'm 1,000% convinced. Next Thursday cannot come fast enough

Bruce isn’t fully formed. He feels more comfortable as Batman. Doesn’t have the Bruce Wayne’s persona in place. He’s a rich young man. Not paying attention to Wayne’s Industries. Busying & consumed with creating the Batman in his grunge bat cave.
I love how it looks and sounds like The Godfather.

I’m predicting the Batman will end with the Falcone crime empire weakened, and then the Penguin show is gonna be a soprano’s style show of Penguin usurping Carmine as head of the Gotham mob.

Everytime I see John Tuturro I can't help but picture him in Transformers and how over the top he is there (best parts of those movies in my opinion) but seeing him here, his performance is insanely good. Very grounded and settle.
Why would Falcone randomly show up at the Wayan’s mansion after being shot??
I think we’re going to find out later in the movie that maybe Thomas Wayne was on Falcone’s pay roll. And maybe that’s why riddler has a grudge against Falcone and the Wayne’s. And riddler tells Bruce “your apart of this too”
And that’s also probably why we hear Bruce telling Alfred “you lied to me”
Hmmm I’m just speculating, but I can’t wait until it’s revealed what’s really going on

The clip gives a vibe where John turturro will play a douche mob boss so well , which will have Robert Pattinson’s feeling to kick his ass.

@@camthespaceman6920 I feel like the next villain shouldn’t be another mystery murderer targeting specific people, who also has deep family history with Bruce. I’m pretty sure Hush was already a huge inspiration for this adaptation of Riddler and sorta fusing the characters together with this version of Riddler. I’m not sure how much you know about the movie but I’ll just say the similarities are extreme

All of those, except Earth One, inspired the film according to Matt Reeves and the cast. They drew inspiration from Batman: Ego also.

We need the Raid-style Batman film where he fights his way through Arkham Asylum to stop a single overarching villain, such as Joker, that was reportedly in works less than a decade ago.
The tone & the performances in this movie was a missed opportunity to tell a Hush story which has never been done before for Batman movies. I’m not crazy bout the long Halloween & Year One inspirations Bc that’s literally two of the most mainstream Batman graphic novels that they base every fucking Batman movie on.
Hush isn’t particularly a great Batman story and Matt Reeves has cited Ego as being the biggest inspiration of the movie in terms of the characterization of Bruce/Batman… they’ve also took influence from Zero Year so there’s that… it’s pulling from various sources.

I want a smooth talker like duhamel in a roll like that. He’s someone I actually believe who could get the justice system to work someone who could get information when needed or make the decisions one has too. And I just think at this point in his career like BOBBA and MANDO why not have fun?!
@@dakotajones674 that was Timothy Olyphant in Mandalorian and Book of Boba, not Josh Duhamel. Common mistake but I believe the principle still applies. Duhamel has been around for a while now and has found himself in some real stinkers. His last venture into live action superhero fare was a total dud with Jupiter's Legacy but he was one of the few decent performances in the show. I feel like he could pull of the duality of the role with ease but I would like to see Harvey properly set up. Give us a movie that sets up the friendship between Harvey and Bruce then have Harvey's face burnt in the sequel. He does not even have to be the main villain but show us that Two Face is working behind the scenes, building his own empire.

WB are trying to get you nervous, they called this movie "terrible" while real fans loved it through text screening, so they drop all these clips to give you doubt

Every clip they show me im more and more excited for and most people seem to feel the same. Movies these days will now always release an absurd amount of clips because its just the newly wvolved way of movie advertising for some reason. Like trailers for trailers. Shits not going anywhere unfortunately, dont take it as a doom sign lol

This movie will probably end with the mob mostly weakened or destroyed altogether for the supervillains to rise. The riddler will be the first legit supervillain which will the usher in a new level of crime into gotham where we’ll later on see more villains like the Joker, Mr. Freeze, Bane, Killer Croc maybe even Ra’s al Ghul which I hope they’ll do more comic accurate with him being an ancient warlord who uses the Lazarus pit to prolong his life and spread the league of assassins. While this universe will be grounded it doesn’t have to have the hyper realism like Nolan so we can have villains like Killer Croc and Ban using his actual Venom serum and Mr. Freeze having his freeze gun.
...That didn't happen.
Also, I wouldn't call Nolan's portrayal "hyper-realism", since the characters didn't even talk or feel like real people. They did in The Batman, though. Despite the CG sets, this felt like the realest portrayal of Batman. Especially in a city so large, yet so ready to implode, with aesthetics inspired by The Animated Series' "Great Depression/art deco, mixed with modern technology" philosophy.

Also no one would even make that connection, Oz has heard both Bruce and Batman but wouldn’t even begin to imagine them being the same for him allow himself to recognize the voice.
