So just put 5k miles on my k24A(30k mile Japan Motor) swap with a mfactory lsd 5 speed trans. With my build(was rushed due to my daily blowing up) i had put 270cc injectors for time being on the k24 which came with 310cc from factory, but even with that my tuner was able to max her out at 196HP 181TQ full 2.25 exhaust. These motors are torque monsters! They due tend to flatten out on power after 5k rpm with the 5 speed sitting at about 3800rpm 5th gear at 80mph you definitely have drop a gear to get some pull but off the line especially 3rd gear i was able to max out at 7800rpm just about 105ish mph feels amazing. My tuner recommended 450cc injectors with 2.50inch exhaust which should sit my build at around 220-230HP and 190-196TQ which is wild compared to a friends 05 type s(bolt ons) who made 223HP but only 165 TQ.. we done few pulls and currently i can get a jump on him but with wrong injectors they max out quick and he will get a head at me but his car is screaming😅. Between both cars his power is more predictable. Where with my k24 swap sometimes ill drop a gear and torque jolts forward hard. Ending this rant i love my k24 swap on the streets its just fun letting a gap happen between the car in front of you and just dropping a gear and see car behind you get smaller in rear view quick. Learning the torque curve on the k24 i think it definitely be fun in the twisties more then straight line racing.
@torquecars Good point, never thought about going to the negatives. But on the K24A2, all the advancement you get is 25 deg. A popular upgrade is to install the K20 50 deg vtc. I currently just installed the Type S oil pump and Drag Cartel 45 deg vtc.
@@Kiz7. So most tuners prefer to have a pinned VTC Cam gear due to K-pro not being able to accurately "stop" the cam gear at a specified degree. in the off chance that the ECU accidentally throws 50 degrees instead of 45 degrees it could potentially cause damage, but this is all dependent on Block/Head/Cams/springs and retainers.
I run a jdm k24a in my 07 8th gen si, and its got stock oil pump an its tuned to 8,000rpm with no problems. Just dont hang on the rev limiter so it dont beat itself apart.

Ok ,bad ass 😁
Great video 👍
Thanks for the info
The K24A2 does not come with a 50 deg vtc. They come with 25 deg.
oh interesting I always understood it to be a range of -25 to +25 hence the 50 total degree - is that not correct then?

@@bobbydelamar606how come you chose the drag cartel 45 deg, rather than the oem Honda 50 deg?

with cams you don't want to advance the cam timing above 35-40ish degree or you'll run the piston into the valves.@@Kiz7.

Great video
Are all the K24A blocks and rotator assys. the same ?
Could i get a Pisten set with 13.5:1 or something Like that? Dies that increase horsepower?
It would improve about everything including the power and efficiency just make sure you have good enough fuel or tuning to match the high compression
Great video.
Can you please do a similar video on the k23a1 engine ?
Is the k24 W1 good ?
(HONDA) -- There's NO 'R' in Honda😂
