I was thinking Ben can also try to sell an idea of a reality show based on street scrapping in Australia and become a main subject matter consultant. I think it's guaranteed at least two seasons.
Well you have to remember that doesn't pick off the streets to make a living, it's just his hobby to supplement his main income and to find unusual/rare items of good to awesome value for free. Almost everyone of us who watches his videos says to himself "and you left this at the curb???"
All of these street scrap videos are giving me something to watch during work! Still love these videos of yours. It's always interesting to see what people deem "trash" and what you end up being able to use/sell/scrap.
Hi there Ben, I’m from Pennsylvania here. I have enjoyed watching your videos! Would love to come down to Australia and scrap with you. Love to learn more!
ultimate Australian vacation: pearl hunting in northern territory; opal hunting in country; snorkeling great barrier reef and e-waste scrapping with Ben ??
Ben, wow you really had an excellent day with your pick-ups, didn't ya! I enjoy letting your sponsor's commercials play through because I know that it may result in assisting to net you an abundance of a bit more silver and gold! ¡Very Nice!🎩
You could wire the car stereo you found last video to your van and then hook up that nice Sony amplifier to a sub woofer that you find on the street. You’d have a nice sound system as your scrapping.
Yes Ben, it ismy dream to one day come to OZ. I'm a Fleming (living in the US for the past 40 years), from Brussels (Belgium). The only things I'm afraid of are the the superlong long flight and the heat down under. But maybe one day I'll work up tje courage... Mostly interested in the fauna, the sigjts and the abo culture and art... Thanks for the great video!
Just a bit curious but here in the states we have the majority are upright vacuums but I see when you cut the cord they are all like rolling sorts....just an interesting difference.
Same stop you got the Aluminum care rim, you missed the aluminum alloy bike wheel. Lots of those are aluminum now days. It’s worth doing the magnet test on bike wheels when they are loose like that.... you rock though. Can’t get it all right? ...:)
There were two barrels, why not take both? There were so many items that I would have taken, but apparently you weren’t looking for a couch and chair set! I live in New York, it’s really fun seeing how Australia deals with garbage day. Thanks for the video.
Been always wanted to come to Australia but I wanted to go metal detecting for the gold but I sure would like to do some scrapping like you do can do it here though U.S in Tennessee
Ben, you're the funniest mate...... wun dulla, wun dulla, hahahaha! The old scrap gods were smiling on you today, awesome pick up. What you don't know about scrapping ain't worth knowing, i'd love to come to OZ and have a beer and a scrap with ya!
I just noticed your fire hydrants in fron't yards look so modern like triangle shaped sort of. And are all toilets rear ejecting instead of straight down?
Hydrogen peroxide is cheap and safe to be used as a source of oxygen for gold recovery. An air pump will need to be hooked up to a power bank and to a solar panel to be truly a cheap and reliable resource of air.
Hey Ben...love your clips...question...scored a commodore 1000...in it was ramex 256 card...scratched the green coating of depopulating and it looks like gold plating...is it? cheers buddy.
gold flashing "ENIG" not as good as plating, there's no need to plate a board then paint over it, good gold plating is used for contact points like fingers
Thanks Ben,that is good to know. Sounds about right. In September we should start getting those cold fronts coming down from Canada. So,.I'm in Wisconsin USA,it bloody hot with lots of rain. Makes doing anything outside almost unbearable. I will let you know when those cold winds start blowing so that you will know that your spring is coming on.
You don't splice your cords hey Ben ? And by the way i use cheap "Driving Gloves " for picking up stuff would be handy for you too..i'm just worried a bit there for your hands hey ...Cheers !
Ben, what did you pay for your Ford transit van? I am curious because I have been coming across a lot of big bundles of wire when I take my nightly walk and I can carry only so much on my home and I want to getting the most of my runs to the scrap yard. Most of all I watch you channel when I go for my walks and enjoy how Australia has a better way of sorting home trash from e-waste unlike us here in the United States
Ben why don't you take all the e scrap audio systems radios vhs recorders they have good circuit boards and are exellent for gold recovery as do remote controllers, I notice you leave those behind as well why.
You've commented in a few vids now that you're not taking key boards anymore. Did you determine the silver mylars just weren't worth the effort to scrap and get rid of the plastic? OR some other reason. Thanks
I would love to do that. Scraping with ewaste Ben. Afterwords have a couple of beers. Yeah! But I would probably sell my scrap there as it seems you get paid better then here in Ohio..
I would love to come scrap with you. I’d leave you everything I just want to see your country. Of course if I found an Australia license car tag I would keep that. It’s the only one I don’t have from the places I really like.
I am just starting to catch up with the videos but I'm wondering why you didn't just pick up the one box where you found that one PC and just dump it in your van because you was there about 10 minutes probably going through it ? Just wondering my friend.
Ben if I come to Australia, would you let me scrap with you. I do half the work, you keep all the loot. I just want to say I scrapped with the best...:)
Hi, can you show us how you accualy process those modems, DVD players, PCs, AC units or whatewer you pick up on the street. I think It would be cool to see how long you did it and how much money you earn (roughly). BTW aweseme videos, keep on going :D
24:21 work hard , play hard :) so many good stuff for the flea market, 33:45 another free flea market oww, everyone getting rid of dvd players, video on demand now
Check if it works. If it does, some people look for cheap used compressors in working condition for their home projects. Your local classifieds is where you would sell it.
Cut the top off the compressor with a grinder. There's a load of copper in there. Moose Scrapper did a good video on the subject. ruclips.net/video/uoPj71oon8I/видео.html
7:21 not much houses with solar panels, only 1 i saw, Australians aren't they fond of solar panels, or just the neighbourhood? 12:40 'i recommend doing scrap steel on the monday' 13:18 Ben is scrapping metal again 😂 🤣 15:24 use it as a seat 😎 21:37 nice fourniture ! indian music for barber , to enlarge his musictaste 😎22:51 Ben i think these are multiple signs you would need a new toilet lolol
This is probably an FAQ, but why do so many of the houses have so much junk at the curb? Is there a lot of turnover in the housing market? It is weird to me to see a cul de sac where almost every house looks like the owners have just moved out. Also funny how aside from driving on the left, this footage could easily be from Florida :) The houses, flora, etc are just the same.
I am in NC but have visited FL enough to think "this sure looks like FL" ;) In my city, people don't really put huge piles of loose junk on the roadside. Scrappers will snatch up anything made of metal, though.
Can you please leave 4" - 5" of cord when cutting them of appliances and electronics, someone else will check them up I'm sure I'll make it easier for us , thanks for scrapping...
How many "nice things" can one possibly need "for the workshop"? I'd like to see the pile of stuff that's been picked up because "it's useful" or part of some undefined collection. A couple videos ago there was mention of keeping about 100 identical power supplies or adapters (I'm not sure) for some vague future project that may or may not become reality. 100!! I think someone needs help... =/
You always talk about the work shop.. please post a video tour of it.. not only am I a fat stupid American but I'm also nosey! Lol great video thank you!
Hello Ben, I'm reaching out for your help, I would like to send you a email in regards to a startup e waste business. I heard you talk about how to start one up, I would like to talk to you and the logistics of a start up e waste in my city. Thank you very much for your time and help. I truly enjoyed your videos. Please let me know what you think
i have a few video's on the subject, not sure I can help much as I don't know your local situation, you can email me weeeben@optusnet.com.au and ask specific questions if you like
I crack a smile everytime you say, "PC" with such exuberance...
ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO STREET SCRAPING VIDEOS
The left hand driving gets me every time! "oh no! Watch out Ben!!..... Oh ya, right."
I think Ben should organize scrapping tours in Australia for people from overseas.
🤩
That would be my idea of a great vacation!! Throw in some metal detecting for gold nuggets and some kangaroo boxing and I'm on my way!!!
I was thinking Ben can also try to sell an idea of a reality show based on street scrapping in Australia and become a main subject matter consultant. I think it's guaranteed at least two seasons.
For how much he passes up, I wish I could move to Australia just to scrap what he leaves behind!
Well you have to remember that doesn't pick off the streets to make a living, it's just his hobby to supplement his main income and to find unusual/rare items of good to awesome value for free. Almost everyone of us who watches his videos says to himself "and you left this at the curb???"
Hi Ben well done my friend, keep them vids coming, learning something new every time I watch them. Thanks Dolores USA
All of these street scrap videos are giving me something to watch during work! Still love these videos of yours. It's always interesting to see what people deem "trash" and what you end up being able to use/sell/scrap.
That was simply put, one incredible day for electronics!!
I Loved it!!!
Definitely deserves two 👍👍
Hi there Ben, I’m from Pennsylvania here. I have enjoyed watching your videos! Would love to come down to Australia and scrap with you. Love to learn more!
I just can't believe the amount of scrap there is on the curb etc where you live. Wow, I would have a great time there for sure.
ultimate Australian vacation: pearl hunting in northern territory; opal hunting in country; snorkeling great barrier reef and e-waste scrapping with Ben ??
Ben, wow you really had an excellent day with your pick-ups, didn't ya! I enjoy letting your sponsor's commercials play through because I know that it may result in assisting to net you an abundance of a bit more silver and gold! ¡Very Nice!🎩
Thanks for sharing and the invite to scrap with the best!
Another fun vid Ben, thanks.
You got a lot on that one stop, good find
You could do with a bin or tote in the back between the seats for cables
tried it, but it's easier to just throw it in and fill a tub when I get back
PC, PC, PC, PCs everywhere, lovely stash of goodies there.
I like to see the piles once you get home, thanks
That score with the ram, hard drives and slot cards is too good to be true.
I laughed when you stopped to play the foosball game. It's like stopping to smell the roses, from a street scrapper perspective.
Way to go Ben, and thank you for all your videos.
You could wire the car stereo you found last video to your van and then hook up that nice Sony amplifier to a sub woofer that you find on the street. You’d have a nice sound system as your scrapping.

I love the seats on your van
Ben had for lunch 1 PC with complimentary side of moderns lolo keep on trucking
yummy put some ketchup on those, they tastes better with 🤣
Love watching your videos ( from the uk)😜
Just a bit curious but here in the states we have the majority are upright vacuums but I see when you cut the cord they are all like rolling sorts....just an interesting difference.
Same stop you got the Aluminum care rim, you missed the aluminum alloy bike wheel. Lots of those are aluminum now days. It’s worth doing the magnet test on bike wheels when they are loose like that.... you rock though. Can’t get it all right? ...:)
I would come down just have a beer and go scraping with you.
need to do a scrapping of the DVD's What do you keep and how do you process.
Cool video.
Those amplifier boxes have big transformers in them and aluminium heatsinks
There were two barrels, why not take both? There were so many items that I would have taken, but apparently you weren’t looking for a couch and chair set! I live in New York, it’s really fun seeing how Australia deals with garbage day. Thanks for the video.
What a load of stuff you got a good eye for PC's. The Human Waste Stream provides!
Been always wanted to come to Australia but I wanted to go metal detecting for the gold but I sure would like to do some scrapping like you do can do it here though U.S in Tennessee
50:03 i thought that tree was a big green monster 😱 52:37 dvd prison break attempt! look at that pile of dvd players, looks like a scrap pickup🤑
You often miss obvious stuff, think the bigger piles get you confused, like visual overload. 33:47 a cord on a large water cooler. Love your vids.
That aluminum is a great start. Let's see an all aluminum run to the yard
Coming soon Ben computer museum
Man, you got some pretty good stuff this run. Nice!
sweet video
Ben, you're the funniest mate...... wun dulla, wun dulla, hahahaha! The old scrap gods were smiling on you today, awesome pick up. What you don't know about scrapping ain't worth knowing, i'd love to come to OZ and have a beer and a scrap with ya!
I just noticed your fire hydrants in fron't yards look so modern like triangle shaped sort of. And are all toilets rear ejecting instead of straight down?
Aquarium air pump you could have used as a bubbler for gold fingers if it worked!
Hydrogen peroxide is cheap and safe to be used as a source of oxygen for gold recovery. An air pump will need to be hooked up to a power bank and to a solar panel to be truly a cheap and reliable resource of air.
What do you do with the PC's, cable boxes and video games.
Thanks
Gday fellow aussie love the work keep it up
Hey Ben...love your clips...question...scored a commodore 1000...in it was ramex 256 card...scratched the green coating of depopulating and it looks like gold plating...is it? cheers buddy.
gold flashing "ENIG" not as good as plating, there's no need to plate a board then paint over it, good gold plating is used for contact points like fingers
I love watching this videos, keep doing the thing
Ben: I have a couple questions. Which months are your worst winter months? And which month generally signals spring for you in Australia?
now is the coldest, September is start of spring
Thanks Ben,that is good to know. Sounds about right. In September we should start getting those cold fronts coming down from Canada. So,.I'm in Wisconsin USA,it bloody hot with lots of rain. Makes doing anything outside almost unbearable. I will let you know when those cold winds start blowing so that you will know that your spring is coming on.
There was an ordinance past in my community that all hard waste(some exceptions) must be boxed and securely taped.
You don't splice your cords hey Ben ? And by the way i use cheap "Driving Gloves " for picking up stuff would be handy for you too..i'm just worried a bit there for your hands hey ...Cheers !

Funny as you mentioned how few and far PC you score.
At 3.17 minutes a box with cutlery. Sometimes there are silver and antique items
Thanks
I'm getting a lot through the week in regular pick up's, too many to handle at the moment
Them radiators in the beginning of the video are copper/aluminum, if you completely scrap the A/C units out you can get about 10-20 $ per unit.
I like your videos
I buddy love your video s
41:02 wait wait wait wait wait... was that a Widows 8/10 Installation Disc??
I would love to do that. Scraping with ewaste Ben. Afterwords have a couple of beers. Yeah! But I would probably sell my scrap there as it seems you get paid better then here in Ohio..
I would love to come scrap with you. I’d leave you everything I just want to see your country. Of course if I found an Australia license car tag I would keep that. It’s the only one I don’t have from the places I really like.
One more thing, how long is the average cord in one of those vacuum cleaners?
I think 6 ft
Hi Ben .
How many dollars do you think you can get from this E Waste load?
Best regards from Chile ..
28:31 OMG I have that same model of speakers!
Why do not you pick up the printers and photocopiers you find? I'm following you from Argentina
too much plastic for me
20:35 Next time, do not pass that ones Ben. These headrests are worth US$70 used on Ebay.
Gold keyboard circut board
I am just starting to catch up with the videos but I'm wondering why you didn't just pick up the one box where you found that one PC and just dump it in your van because you was there about 10 minutes probably going through it ? Just wondering my friend.

Id thought you had some kinda backup power with all them batteries from laptops/acid batteries and inverters :-)
24:21 work hard , play hard :) so many good stuff for the flea market, 33:45 another free flea market oww, everyone getting rid of dvd players, video on demand now
BEN ~~ my yard ONLY takes AC if it has not be taken apart....i found that out after i took the 1st one apart.....what can i do with the compressor?
Check if it works. If it does, some people look for cheap used compressors in working condition for their home projects. Your local classifieds is where you would sell it.
i dont know if it works.....i took everything off.
Search for RUclips videos how to check a compressor.
I don't get many so I haven't tried to do anything with them yet
Cut the top off the compressor with a grinder. There's a load of copper in there. Moose Scrapper did a good video on the subject. ruclips.net/video/uoPj71oon8I/видео.html
Amazing!
u keep on talkin about your workshop.....where is it?

Have you got something wrong with your vans motor it sounds bad
Could it sound bad because it's a diesel? 🤣
Best RUclips FPS, five globs.
How do you know where to go
There is copper in those fans.
It is me, or is the van very loud lately?
Cord cuttah!!!! Lol
Hahaha I get it. Pigging out on the ewaste
You should drop off some non-electrical or metal stuff at Savers and other thrift shops. ;-)
This is probably an FAQ, but why do so many of the houses have so much junk at the curb? Is there a lot of turnover in the housing market? It is weird to me to see a cul de sac where almost every house looks like the owners have just moved out.

Ben damn no power, with all the UPS you've got, you can install it, you never know for the next power outage ;-)
He didn't recogonize an air conditioner without a case on it?
I think he did.. he just don't want people knowing he grabs refrig units....
you said a good 10 bucks with the rim but the battier makes 17 then
"refridgerated fan system" it's an air conditioner :P
Not in Australia probably. ;p
Do people not worry about their private info left on their PC hard drives nowadays?
Can you please leave 4" - 5" of cord when cutting them of appliances and electronics, someone else will check them up I'm sure I'll make it easier for us , thanks for scrapping...
fuck off
No but why didn't you take the tiny sewing machine? It was awesome and someone would probably have bought it for a reasonable sum.
Everytime you lower your voice I imagine steve Irwin lol
How many "nice things" can one possibly need "for the workshop"? I'd like to see the pile of stuff that's been picked up because "it's useful" or part of some undefined collection. when you see a pile of rubbish on the opesit side of the road why dont you pull up next to it so you dont have to carry the things across the road ???

Hello Ben,
