Hi. Great review. I made my way to the backgammon world during the pandemic as well. There's no way back now. I started playing on a cheap board from the 80s (owned by my father), and I loved the game. But as time passed, I started looking at these pro boards on RUclips. They are too pricey, especially the boards I've been looking at on f.e. Backgammon Galaxy. I eventually got a prototype board from Backgammon Galaxy for $150. This was a tournament size board. For the price, with the precision dice included, it was a really, really good deal. But these boards are massive to carry around, so I started looking at a travel size board. I wanted the same feel and the touch and feeling of quality checkers, and the sound (which is one of the main reason I play backgammon) when the checkers hits the frame of the board. I found this board from FM Gammon. I didn't pick your color (Blackhawk), but opted for the Mini Nature Board. The colors of the checkers reminds me about coffee and chocolate, and I thought they would perfectly fit in into a cafe or a beach bar when travelling around with the board. I can't think about a better travel board (due to the removal of the checker trays) in this size, and still have the touch of a luxury board. I thought a lot about the travel boards they sell on Backgammon Galaxy, but they are way too pricey, and they are basically the same boards (both are manufactured by FM Gammon). Once again, nice video and review! I hope to see more videos from you in the near future.
I'm enjoying these board reviews, but are you able to link to the vendor? As these reviews grow in number, it'll be good for viewers to be able to go to the official website for purchase.
@@serialhobbyistofficial As I've watched more of these videos, I've seen you provide more links. Thanks again and keep up the good work. Jealous of your board collection.
I’d like to see your opinion on that pointworks board, I just have two boards currently, a cheap main street classics 15” board and bought myself one of the 19” silvermans on the gammon village 50% off sale.

Really appreciate your comment! Plenty more videos coming 😊
I have been using cardboard chip boxes made for casino chips.. the are the perfect size to hold these mini chips
I've been thinking about getting one of these. Either the Mini Blackhawk in Navy or Mini Nature in Dark Green.
Great choices! They have so many more options available for checkers and colors in the mini series now. Thanks for watching!

I’ll make sure to do that going forward!
