The funny thing is, nagagalit sila sa pagmumura ni Ninong Ry, as if they are not doing it as well.
Maybe he doesn't have the "influencer" fake filtered good looks or immaculate videography but he is very entertaining and he cooks the way a lot of people cook in their own homes, nothing fancy. I learned a lot from watching him, mostly have fun and you don't have to follow a recipe to the letter, and you can try different things.

Simple lang naman ang dapat tandaan ng mga manonood. Kung ayaw nyo yung content, don't watch it. No need to defame or hate the content creator. if you're gonna comment on something, make it constructive and not insulting.
Kasama sa risk ng social media yan. Di mo pwedeng utusan yung viewers na wag manood. Sa real life nga tingnan ka lang ng tao may judgment na, panoorin ka pa kaya. Malamang may masasabi talaga.

ninoy ry is one of the most humble creators i know and people love him for that. His unique style or "strange style" of cooking as some might say is what made him successful today. you're an inspiration ninong! we 🤍 you.

I’m just glad Ninong stuck with his guns. Yung pagmumura and yung freestyle cooking niya is what makes his channel. Kumbaga in cooking terms, yun yung garnish sa buong dish. The dish would’ve worked fine without it pero pag nandon it elevates the content.
Can you imagine a present day Ninong na nagpatalo sa comments tapos may content style ala Panlasang Pinoy?

1. Ninong Ry is a sellout now, his kanto and "barubal" way of talking and humor that started him now replaced by being too wholesome and obviously held back.
2. Ninong Ry and his family are not really middle class.
3. His frequent cooking of fatty, oily, sweet, meaty food gives to people unfamiliar a wrong impression and definition that Filipino cuisine in general are purely meat and fatty dishes.
Hindi na importante kung anong ibabatong panghuhusga sayo ng tao.
Ang mahalaga, totoo ka sa sarili mo, at mahal mo ang ginagawa mo.
Dun ka masaya ei...
Wala silang magagawa kasi nanonood lang sila.
Basta ginawa mo ang best mo at wala kang tinatapakang tao.

Ninong Ry cursing is good because it makes him look genuine, it makes him relatable, it humanizes him, don't act like you never cursed in your life in a jokingly way around friends or cursed under your breath because of a mistake.

I’ve been listening to your podcast not a quite as long… so amaze and realising it’s so much of information and some learning I’ve been taking for you and your guests. For me so much of information that come from the genuine people and it hooked me for the past weeks. Remembering those days that your just listening in the radio,or reading a books and it feels like I’m there… wow it’s blows me… thank u so much for the clips that allow me to download Spotify so I can listen full.. it really help me a lot of things that mentally,physically.. I been stock here working in hongkong for almost 5 years I cannot go home in the Philippines because of this pandemic.. after listening to you sir @wil dasovich it so much help I’m getting on it…so much value in life everything I can get… peace of mind and healthy life 😊

They may have their reasons, for me if that is their take then I will respect that. But some common things they usually agree with is that:
1. Ninong Ry is a notorious sellout; kulang nalang ibenta ang kaluluwa para lang sa maraming sponsors. They dont see him as a celebrity chef either.
2. Ninong Ry promotes wrong kind of fusion cuisine with several of his "creative takes" on existing Filipino dishes

Hi, I did hate Ninong Ry before… I used to say “who is this dugyot chubby chef? whenever I see his vlog in my wall, but I begin to like him when I watch him by force with Karen Davila vlog. Ninong Ry is like a fruit Durian that you never try because of it’s ugly look & distinct smell, but you will so love it so much once you tried it just once. Only thing I still hate from him is…..He has to lessen the spoonful of food he shoved in his mouth whenever he taste the food he cooked at the end of his vlog.
