Every system needs a head unit. Just not all of them require it to be OUTSIDE of the vehicle. Check out the video as i carve out a display model XS Power D2400 i had on the shelf. I also used an SMD TM-1, SMD VM-1 and VM-1 HV to monitor the rest of the system.

Another TIGHT install.... I have already started planning my amps install based on your video about cooling. Tennessee gets very hot and sometime in the past my amps would shut off from being in the trunk. Anyway, thanks for all the awesome videos. You have IMAGINATION along with TALENT!
I think an industrial emergency stop button would’ve been a good choice for the power switch on the side. Good work as always.

When you plugged in your deck to the car it reminded me of back to the future when doc brown plugs in the wires as lighting strikes the clock tower.
lol..you have an imagination (good thing tho right). Back to the Future was in the top three of my favs when I was a kid. Epic classics!

I use them for my amp rack, in case i need to pull it out and access the stuff behind it :)
I am using a 24pin connector from an old computer PSU motherboard connector, and i can say that it is great to be able to disconnect and reconnect without having to double check all your wires all the time :)
I love the Pac-Lc1.
When I bought my Sundown amp the guy I bought it from sent me one with it. Never thought of having one previously but every song is different and it's nice being able to fine tune the subwoofer to each song.
I don't mind the long video at all! Great job Steve. I guess we will see lots of people trying to get their hands in XS Power display batteries from now on =D

XS (or someone else) should make these as normal boxes with DIN or double DIN holes as that is the perfect size for a head unit and gauges.

A rechargeable battery would of been a good idea for keeping the memory of the head unit while being unplugged

A Deutsch connector is what I would have used instead of a Molex connector.Tthey're second to none. Other than that great job and impressive as always Steve.

mikeelp23 ya :D but remember bro, this is the DGAF tercel. The Molex is already too nice for it. The douche plugs are actually pretty nice and i would totally consider them for other jobs in something nicer...like my Lexus or something (if i need another one). Thanks man good lookin out :)

Cool Idea, but why use that Kenwood Receiver? That Receiver is sending 2.5v to your amps, why not go 2 models up and get 4.5v sent to your amps?

Only have a few questions, but first I wanna say, I'm a huge fan and your the reason I'm trying to get into bass! And, how will you keep your settings on your radio if you keep unplugging your power? And I've heard that if you turn your radio all the way up it will clip the amp? Is that true?
I was thinking the same thing about the radio but really all the settings will be done on the amps as far as crossovers go and it's really not that hard to change the bass mid and treble settings. He is just going to have to write them down once he's got his best score to keep it consistent. If it was really that important I'm sure he could find a battery that would fit inside and hook up a relay to switch between the cars power and the small battery in his console.

Yeah but I don't have much room under my seats so I bought a specific made box for my truck it fits perfect my subs are 300w each I think so maybe getting ones higher watts? I'm not an expert at this so I don't know alot like my truck does hit but I want a little more out of it and louder voice too
