Mawlids are soooo misunderstood.
In the Quran Allah SWA commands us to send peace and blessings to His beloved Prophet SAW as Allah SWA and His Angels send peace and blessings to His beloved Prophet SAW.
Mawlids start with this Ayat and the whole events is then spent doing various salawaats and nasheeds which ‘celebrate’ the great Person Prophet Mohamed SAW who was sent on earth to spread Allahs SWA message and his Mercy so his followers can also be merciful.
There is NOTHING wrong in that event which people misconstrue the word ‘ celebration’ . If we Muslims can not “celebrate” the coming of our savior, who is?????
Mawlids have to have the right Conduct. Celebrations need to have the right conduct.
