I have never liked Crock Pot meals because they always seemed water logged. Then I saw that you don't add extra liquid. I tried your method, and it's a game changer. That was all I needed. Thanks you
Yay!!! Listen I used to feel the same way about the crock pot. It always came out soupy and sometimes that's just not what you want. So glad I could give some tips along the way.
Try this: Same pepper strips in the crock pot first, then boneless-skinless chicken thighs, sprinkle with chicken fajita seasoning (try Bolner's Chicken Fajita Seasoning), then another layer of veggie strips. Add 1/2 c. chicken broth to make Chicken Fajitas. Slow cook for 3 hours. Serve with tortillas and refried beans. :)
@@FeedingtheByrdsI took my grand babies and son to McDonalds.i ate a happy meal, the three babies ate happy meals. I added 2 icees and my son ate filet of fish and nuggets. 50 dollars! McDonald’s happy meals 😩
For me it’s pasta with a red sauce and I’m not really talking about spaghetti. I take one large can of cento Mariano. The can plus a can of water. If u want to first sautee your veggies from fridge (fridge clean out) onions and garlic if u have. Add meat if u want (breakfast sausage or hamburger. Whatever. Throw in the tomatoes and cook for 10 mins. Take an immersion blender and blend (even with meat). Pour over cooked pasta. Tastes like cooked all day. Regarding the dry crockpot; it serves as an incredible roaster without liquid. A fav of ours is doing a full dry seasoned chicken. No liquid. Its incredible.
Onions peppers tomato and eggs best way to clean up your fridge CHAKCHOUKA an excellent north African dish and it’s so easy and flavorful ❤❤❤and you can have fries on the side excellent for vegetarian too just take the eggs out ! And all that is one pan !
One of my go to easy crockpot meals is green beans, onions, potatoes and smoked turkey Kielbasa. I typically use the frozen whole organic green beans from Costco. I like to add a scoop of cottage cheese on the plate. 😋
I too ask about eating a $50 bill coming out of restaurant. My husband and I can spend $50. And this is at a plain Jane restaurant. And the trouble is sometimes the offerings aren’t A +. I believe those days are gone. BTW we live in Akron Ohio
So when I'm saying we are spending $50, that's us going to something like chick-fil-a or a quick service place. If we go "out out" as we call it, it's way more!
Our go to last minute meal is bbq shrimp and sausage (frozen shrimp and turkey keilbasa) with either rice or potatoes. We'll serve with whatever veggies we have on hand
I agree about eating out. It used to be "somewhat affordable" Not since 2021 in my opinion. And the quality is horrible. My husband and I have eaten out probably 3 times this year. I'd rather meal prep, do freezer meals or just something quick but homemade after work. You recipies look delicious as always!
I agree. We have a few restaurants that are really good but some of our favorites just went really down hill and anything I make at home is just way better.
Hi there, made your saucy chicken ladt night, yummy! It's become a staple on my cooking circulation. So easy & yummy. ❤ thanx blessing fm Lakeland FL ❤
My favorite go-to meal has to be pizza. I use bread, tortillas, bagels, English muffins, or just mix some flour and water to make a dough. I always use my favorite speg sauce and add all my veggies that need to be used up.
quick & easy potato, peppers & sausage skillet. A great clean out the fridge meal or a fast meal. We like all the sausages. I do not eat out because it is never good.
There are only 2 of us & if we eat out it's at least $40 or more. We are usually hungry & look at it other & say we cook so much better. We eat out usually once a month. Where we live there are only 3 good places to eat so I'm glad we love to cook. Gonna try thrive Market cause we only have 3 grocery store miles from where we live. As I read this TMI some. I'll quit now🤠
I'm watching u cut the peppers from the seeds. I'm not sure if thats the wrong way what I do is turn them upside down and cut them that way n pull them apart that way
Hi Amber! Need to be frank - I feel like you tell us what we COULD be using in the recipes you make as opposed to what you used, throughout your recipes. We come to your channel to watch you make recipes that you and your family enjoy. If you’re always telling us how we can change the recipes, it just creates decision fatigue. Stick with it; be bold 🦾

Eating out was a rare thing for my husband and me. We just preferred what I cooked at home as it was cheaper and tasted so much better
I totally agree! If it's a really good place, I don't mind
Healthier too

Just a tip on your fresh herbs. Right now garden centers have all fresh herbs. They are huge. Cheaper than buying fresh at the grocery stores.
Such a great tip!
Yay! Happy to see you, Amber!

YES! Great one!
I'm here for all the crockpot recipes. We made a recipe like the rotel pasta this week and added a taco packet.
Great idea!!
Tacos is usually my go to meal when I don't want to cook.
That's a great one
Right off the bat...s&p, winner, winner. Sooooo darn easy. Easier than so many people's fav 🍝 and meatballs.
Yay!! Yes that is such an easy one. Honestly the sausage and peppers for me is even easier than spaghetti and meatballs
My family LOVES sausage, peppers and onion sandwiches. We add a little tomato sauce and grated cheese on our hoagie rolls. OH SO GOOD!
Yes!! On a good bun, so good
Serious question...where are you All eating for $50? Shoot, my husband and I spend close to that and that's w/o drinks or desserts. 😅
Oh I was meaning that's if we get like Chick fil A or something! If we go out out, no way. It's wayyyy more.n
