Another type of dumb packageing i must mention for dvds is those types that have 3 discs on one holder
I don't mind stacked DVDs especially for a show that's over 20 DVDs because that's a lot of space on the shelf
Yeah but shout Factory did it just fine. Tbh idk wht paramount didn't just let them continue producing the sets, they did a much better job
@@EntertainmentKorner i think it's about price shout factory is usually more expensive and puts out collector sets vs paramount or others being cheaper retale sets but idk
@@thetoythief8940 well actually those shout sets were well priced for what you were getting and especially that hey Arnold set, it dropped to like $20. I think you're right in that paramount decided to cheap out so they could make as much profit because that's always the number one goal of companies.
@@EntertainmentKorner I wish I would have grabbed there hey Arnold set instead of Paramount's but I wish we'd get a fixed set for the wild Thornberrys idk if that would ever happen tho

I can't tell if it's rather fitting that the packaging of the Comedy Central seasons of Futurama and Simpson seasons after 10 are more complicated lol.
Not only are the bulky stacked discs thing have more chances of scratching up the discs but also may possibly break them apart. It sucks that the Paramount version of the complete Hey Arnold has some bonus features while Shout's don't. Also, what is the point of having it be in a clear case if it's not gonna have a episode list inside 😑
Indeed, It is rather sad how smaller companies like Shout can do a better job for there Home media releases than major companies like Disney and Warner. Is a simple disc flipper really that hard to do ? Full color discs, I can get.
I kind of recommending for people who are picky about stuff like this is do a bit of modding to the packaging. Like, If a single DVD/Blu-Ray case has stacked discs all in the same holder then just buy a new case with flippers. Not sure about more bigger sets like that Hey Arnold one. The bigger cases sizes are easy to find but the discs holder thing is the hard part.
Yeah I'm cool with customizing but it gets hard after regular sized sets. Plus I've looked for the kinds of cases that Shout! used and I haven't had good luck finding them and then if I did the price I pay would probably be just about as much as the set costs and at that point it's not worth it. Plus for example, for the Hey Arnold set, I'd need the case to be the same size just so the artwork fits properly.
I wish the companies would just do it right on their own.
