The changes they made to that corner a couple of years ago really improved the safety. Before that, the car would have probably rebounced on the track just like at the 24 Hours of Spa in 2021.

He should have dropped the pace on entry, he would have felt it earlier in other corners.

Snap oversteer? He clearly drops his rear left tyre onto the damp part of the track, causing the oversteer. That´s not a snap, that just a driver error.

Not sure you’re right, none of the other cars seem to be affected by the damp conditions. It was already drifting off line when he corrected. Strange crash!

@@paultruesdale7680 I am very sure that's what happened. You can see that he dips the rear left into the damp patches and then he loses it. Seen it a couple of times live in Eau Rouge. Typical wet to dry crash there...

@@valerierodger no. But you don't extinguish a petrol fire with water. Water will make it worse. The petrol will just float on the water and will spread.
