Anandamayi was a legend, and the highest level of being one can be. Even Neem karoli baba, used to allow ma to feed him and said that ma was the only one who could feed him haha. She most certainly was the eternal mother.

I love the fact that right at the beginning Shunyamurti refers to what he's about to read as coming from a first rate spiritual leader, while testifying that he himself is "third rate at best, so I want you to hear from the best so that you know that what I'm talking about is true". Deep, deep respect to you Shunya, you have helped me plenty as a teacher I can genuinely relate to. Tears come to my eyes, as I type on my phone on a warm summer evening in my green yard. The electric shock incident read at time 13:10 was removed from the Autobiography in editions published after Yogananda left his body. I wonder why. There have been hundreds of other changes made to editions published since his departure 70 years ago. Thus, it is not unreasonable to consider how many more changes have been made to Christ's words by his "followers" since his ascension 2000 years ago.
They deleated electic shok fact as Medical sience reject fact we are electricity. It would distroy all medical sience if they would. However they start heart with defribrillator as we are electricity.

I am the same in all beings. l am an associationless, imperishable, changeless, limitless, formless, unconcerned, non~dual presence. I am fullness itself, pure majesty, the ever divine Existence~Awareness that simply is, was, and ever will be. This is what the Self would undoubtedly say if it were asked about itself.
There is no other to ask the self
Self-Realization Fellowship made multiple edits to Yoganada’s book, many after his passing. Many of those edits were to *insert* their organization’s name and importance. “Daya Mata” and an editor named Laurie Pratt were ruthless in their determination to consolidate power over Yogananda’s writings and to fix SRF as a required intermediary between any person and Yogananda as their guru. Evidence of this can be found in many aspects of SRF to this day.
I didn’t realize newer editions were edited and content removed. I am almost finished with my first time through it. Thank you for this reading.
I agree, I have the last available edition (13th edition, printed in 2019) and chapter 45. about A. Ma is available in it.
Hundreds of changes have been made to the Autobiography after Yogananda left his body - including the incident where Ma's husband received an electric shock for touching her with lust on his mind.

Wow😧 I cannot believe they removed that section. I was very choosy when deciding which edition to read and after reading the reasoning behind the editing of the original work as outlined on SRF website I was satisfied that the latest edition would be the right one to choose. As I read more about the story of the book and now hearing this account and subsequent removal of such passages I realise I made the incorrect choice. I have the first edition reprint in my wishlist and when it comes time to re read this amazing story, I will surely be using the original. Thank you for all your amazing work and sharing it with us who cannot join you in person. 🙏🧡

In Awake: The Life of Yogananda, a wonderful movie about his life, there is a period of time described that may help us to understand why this section was removed. The press in America created an unfair perception of SRF. It was about women having lessons with the men at the ashram. There was also a racial element. All of it was especially severe in the American south. It's all in the movie admirably enough. It seems clear to me why this type of content would have be removed given the difficulties of that time. Yogananda had been travelling and lecturing a great deal but this created an impediment to doing letting people know about yoga. And, after all, that is why he came to this country. The changes in the text may have been made while he was still here. If so we can't say that others changed the book the way the Bible has been changed so many times.

This yogi was not an ordinary human, he through his past life ( karmas)took birth on this earth for a reason and purpose ( he was self realised, means he saw and experienced the Divine God within him by going into deep meditation using the SECRET KNOWLEDGE OF RAJ VIDYA.He was able to talk to the Divine, he was able to transport his TRUE SELF to a higher abode ( not earth) .This secret knowledge is still granted to very highly elevated souls in the north of lndia
Note ...they know the TRUE NAME OF GOD ( the name that existed before creation, before language and alphabets, but will never grant this true name to the general public, because one has to earn this GIFT,by serving the TRUE LIVING SPIRITUAL MASTER. lndia has many such self realised masters living in solitude away from the general public, sitting in pure meditation.
