I'm not a runner but I'd visit Lumpini to walk every morning when I was living there. I'd go there around 5-6am though when it's not as hot and humid (so it doesn't feel like you're running inside a sauna). I think my favorite thing was during the early weekend mornings when the Thai grandmas and grandpas would have their morning raves (that's the only word I can think of to describe it) at one of the entrances to the park. I have to agree with Gao on the giant lizards though. I love taking photos of them, but they're really intimidating - especially when they're staring you down or start walking in your direction. I spotted two of them fighting over food one morning and I think that made them look even more intimidating to me. Usually, they just seem so lazy and slow moving about, but when you spot them fighting, you realize how fast and vicious they can actually get. I wouldn't want to piss one off, that's for sure.
not been to that park but i went to one of Thailand's local street food areas (forgot what the place was called) and I was just gobsmacked at the variety and prices of the food. especially the natural fruit drinks. it's very affordable. food is amazing. yes, when you know that you're local drivers frequent a place it's gotta be good
@@jennychitkuer1124 if you ever visit the country and go to the Chatuchak market, bring extra empty suitcases. let's just say i had to restrain myself from buying a lot from that place. hahaha
I love using the outdoor gym in Lumpini in the morning - B20. Also love the amount of people outside exercising that time of the day. Weekends are super busy. I've never thought to eat there, but have instead, picked up food on Silom Road.
Love all Your Videos and recipes. I live in Milano, Italy and I was finally able to buy your books also in my country, I'm so happy. I would like to fly to Bangkok and far from this horrible winter season. 🥰
OMG I LOVE your videos. Greetings from Tapachula México, I wish your products were sold here! Still waiting for a new xmas pork belly recipe! You are amazing!
I used to get a bowl of breakfast noodles from hawker stalls in singapore, years ago. Fresh, crunchy veg, prawns that snap when you bite them, broth to die for and all for a few dollars. Washed down with icy cold coconut water cracked from the shell right in front of you. I havent eaten that well since I left. I miss it so.
My fave memories about living and working in Chiang Mai was riding my motorbike on the way to work and stopping alongside the freeway to pick up breakfast at local stalls.
I just discovered Marion’s Kitchen... I love this channel! It’s beautifully photographed and edited, with great sound. Of course, Marion has a very appealing personality and makes you feel like cooking her recipes is easy-peasy. Tip: at first I was bothered that she was loosey-goosey about ingredient amounts, but all the details can be found on her website by clicking on the link under the video. This non-recipe, slice of life video is a nice change of pace!
Love this video so much. I love running too we do a lot of it here in Florida and also the Disney Marathons you should come for the Disney Princess Marathon which takes place every year in February !
As much as I love Thai food, all I can manage in the morning is a fruit juice and/or some yogurt and fresh fruit 😄 Your spread would be 3 dinners for me!
Definitely different from bacon and eggs or pancakes, lol, but it sure looks tasty. Marion, love that you are back where life is good. Thanks for taking us along, see you soon!
Hey Marion, I love the videos you do overseas especially in Thailand. I love Thai dramas, and would love to visit one day 😀 Would you ever move back to Thailand.?
Thank you! And OMG how dramatic are the Thai dramas LOL. I feel like I’m back quite a bit of probably will continue being based in Australia for the moment 😃
So let me get this, at 07:00 AM for breakfast you take in a complete evening diner? 😇 Now i see why you need to run, could take me back to bed after all that food! 🤣
Always enjoyed your channel and have understood (allergies & sensitivities not withstanding) one has to be foolish or fussy not to eat like a local in Bangkok. I cannot wait to visit. Warmest wishes to you and all dear to you for the upcoming yuletide festivities...Oh and if Mama Noi stops featuring in your videos, I am cancelling my subscription 🙂Cheers!!!
Is that really all breakfast food??? I can't imagine eating fried chicken, pork, curry..... In the morning.. Just a bread, maybe egg or fruit and bacon.. That just seemed like really heavy food in the morning. What are some other things that might be more "American breakfast"they offer...
There’s no way I could only pay the equivalent of $3 AUD for all that… it’s like Thailand experiences no inflation or CPI? 😂 It’s worth at least $10 AUD but if I gave them that much for such wholesome and varied nutritional food they probably wouldn’t take it. I’d have to throw the money at them and run away.
My son was born in BKK and grew up on chicken rice, moo ping and Khao niaw! I still cook Thai food every week. This was a trip down memory lane ❤
Almost didn't recognize you without the iconic Marion thick frame eyeglasses.
Lmao same😂
🤣🤣🤣 Just keeping you all on your toes! LOL
Is that melon a chayote?
Same!! She looks so much younger and completely different without the glasses!

Meaning when I visit Bangkok no need to book hotel with breakfast but I can grab breakfast on the road. Sending love from Pretoria South Africa ❤❤❤❤❤

Sorry, I need to ask this stupid foreigner question. From a hygiene tummy perspective, is it ok to eat at the hawker stalls in Bangkok? Any tips?
"and the caption should be" included on the title feels like an error lol
Edit: you fixed it!

The fact even you said is it chicken or fish ball should be a warning, go the toilet paper usage!!!
As a diabetic I would never make it as a Thai.
You know their foods are organic
