So important to talk about, it’s a real issue that needs to be taken seriously.
it's over man. social media has ruined them and it's not going away. And there's no one to blame but ourselves.

It was also super fucking cap the idea that kids back in the day never used to be like this. Soda got famous when he was like 15 because he used to scream and fuck with his parents at 3 AM in the morning . When I was younger you'd go online and have millions of 13 year old kids saying the most over the top racist/homophobic/sexist shit at you. Nick always says "Look what those kids said to Sneako, I would never say anything like that as a kid!" which is insane. Go to any school in the early 2000s and bring up gay people and you'll hear that exact same shit.

This isn't to say social media isn't a problem but its naive to act like this has finally "ruined" them when so many generational issue like this have occurred before and they've ended up growing up (mostly) absolutely fine

I graduated school 2 years ago, during covid nobody gave a shit for like a year and half until people started coming back. By then every class was just fully prepared on a Chromebook, you sit down for an hour and do the school work, then go on your phone till class ended. Nobody was really teaching anymore, it was super chill. Its interesting that Chance says that its like a pvp between teachers and phones. At my school it was the opposite, for years a one earplug in and one out rule has been in place for classrooms with no rules against a phone being out. Obviously the teachers who actually taught and gave lectures made sure your phone wasn't out during the lecture but after the lecture, you could do whatever so long as you were passing the class.
