    I like it. But obviously it's not for everyone. I think what people are forgetting is that especially now, when you pay for a name, so that definitely could play a part in the price point. But it's more than just power. I can't tell you how many ppl I've seen tune their cars for power without adding suspension that can handle the load. Shelby did things the smart way and tuned the car for power with suspension that can handle the load. If you think you could do it yourself and have it handle the same or better for less money, I'd love to see it. I do think the price range is odd considering the values of Carrol Shelby, and the "affordable" mission of the Mustang, but that's the world we live in now. It wouldn't stop me from buying it if I had the chance

      Part of what you are buying is the rare build from Shelby American - of course you can build it yourself for cheaper. But customers for this don't want that - they want a factory Shelby with special status and lots of extra performance. This delivers that.
      If I was super rich - I'd probably do it just because I am such a huge Mustang and Shelby fan. And *that* is the target audience - Mustang crazy people with TONS of $$. And I bet they all EASILY sell..

    • @raionshishi8290
      @raionshishi8290 2 года назад

      @@biz0r07 That's basically the point, everyone complaining about the price is literally proving that, this isn't for them so they shouldn't care, they already have the more cheaper options that can easily reach the power for less, but their value will drop considerably after time, while this Code Red will sky rocket in value so even if you pay 300k now, you make that money back easily in 2 years of ownership just like the Ford GT

    I laugh when people say “$300,000 for a ford…” let’s get one thing straight. Ford performance and Shelbey American have NOTHING in common when it comes to what’s under the hood. I own a 2019 super snake. It has 856hp on the whipple super charger. Half the people talking in these comments have NEVER driven a car even close to what a shelbey American car is made to do. Shelbey build the ONLY American motor to ever win 24 hours at lamans not once but 3 years in a row. Don’t forget he was beating every other super car in the world including FERRARI in those races. It is worth it to me hands down. Idc what it’s used for. My car tops out at 212 mph and that’s at 856hp. You’re taking 1300 and 1000 torque. Idc if it is a gt500 and is $300,000. Any car that will be able to compete with a car of that capacity is over $500,000-1 million. Your zo6 is a kids toy compared to anything Shelbey makes don’t even put them in the same sentence. When you drive a Shelbey it’s a 1 of 1. You don’t need 3. You don’t want a lambo. You want the legacy. The power. The sound from borla. You want the feel of how it handles. Every single time I get in my car it makes me giggle like a kid at how incredible powerful it is. You almost double that in the code red… it’s worth every penny

I would just send it to Shelby for the wide body package then I would have my people do a custom paint job which will be way better than a factory paint job and I would just have the engine forged and would swap the supercharger for a Whipple 3.8 liter and I would not max it out I would run it at 1000 crank 850ish whp which pump 93 and would do a flex fuel system where it eoukd make roughly 80-100 hp more on E-85. Do sone red accents and Katzkin leather seats upgrade. This would cost under $90k so out the door eoukd be $200k with the car.

I had a c7 zo6 , it was so powerful but without traction there is no difference between 500HP to 800 HP. Rather than focusing on increasing HP , why don’t they provide AWD. This car ain’t even worth 200k after their stickers and engine mods. And it probably looses more value after you ruin your track pack gt 500.

    • @CoyoteAUS

      I agree. A nice GT500 track pack do a pulley swap and ok if you want to put the power down better hit up fathouse for a motec system which I hear can be done on supercharged stangs now.

    Is it worth $300,000.00? Considering it is a Mustang, NO. I think I'd take my Shelby GT500, if I had one, to Palm Beach Dyno, reputable company, and have them install there x900s package, which includes all parts and installation for $12,700.00. The car produces 1010-1030hp at the crank after the upgrades and is still street legal. Then I'll take my old supercharger and see what I can sell it for. It is not the first time Ford has attempted to make an outrageous profit on a non-street legal track car, they asked $1,200,000.00 for the Ford GT MK2 Track Only. How would the track only version be worth that much more than the road going street legal Ford GT, who knows? ? ?

Not a chance in hell I would pay that much money for that car when I can pay $26,000 for the wide body kit installed at Shelby then send it to Fathouse Fabrications and for $20,000 more get 1000 whp and can drive it on the street
