The kingdom hearts 2 prologue had a crap ton of cutscenes to sit through ,so no it's just you. As for Kingdom Hearts 3 combat sora has a wind-up animation before swinging his key blade however remind gives you new abilities later that are way faster and 100% more responsive. kingdom hearts 2 has 15 hours of cutscenes to sit though while Kingdom Hearts 3 only has 11 hours of cutscenes its just you.

KH2 was a much longer game
I honestly wish there were more cutscenes in KH3. I love this series, I want more story more than I want flashy abilities to defeat heartless with
