- The Battle of Kili was fought in 1299 between the Mongols of the Chagatai Khanate and the Delhi Sultanate. The Mongols, led by Qutlugh Khwaja, invaded India, intending to conquer Delhi. When they encamped at Kili near Delhi, the Delhi Sultan Alauddin Khalji led an army to check their advance.

Sultan Ala-ud-Din Khalji was one of the greatest ruler of his age. From Ghazni in the North to Rameshwarm in the South, and from Gujrat Kathiawar in the West to Bengal in the East, the whole of Hindustan obeyed one sceptre. In the history of Indo-Pak subcontinent very few rulers had such a vast empires under their sway. He is the first Muslim ruler who crossed river Narbada and subdued the whole of Deccan and the far off South. Hundreds of Hindu princes acknowledged him as their overlord and paid tribute in all humility and respect. He possessed such a formidable army that no one could dare to defy his authority. His authority was supreme and in this respect no ruler of India could be called his equal. The establishment of such a vast empire was the result of about 84 battles in which he and his forces engaged themselves and the fickle fortune always smiled on them

Considering that he is from Ghazni and millions of Pashtuns from Khalji tribe live in Kandahar and Ghazni.
@@kajkol No contemporary historian or even his own court historian Amir khusro writes about pashto or Afghans, he has explicitly writes that he is adherent of Persian and Turkic culture used to speak Persian language there is no mention of Afghan or pashto in his writings, and one more thing he is talking about khilji or khalaji Turks who ruled Delhi sultanate, and not ghilzai pashtuns ok 😂 so keep 🤫
