- Dolly Parton and Marty Stuart perform "The Last Thing on My Mind" at the Ellis Theatre in Philadelphia, Mississippi, during a benefit concert for the Congress of Country Music on August 26, 2023.
I love Last Thing On My Mind, when I was 20, I learned this song. My roommates, who were sisters, taught me this song, we didn’t have a tv, we sang every night, it was a simpler time.
Hey!!! Thanks for the love ❤
Hey thank you for your support. I appreciate
Lots of love to Dolly and Marty. Two of country music's all-time greats.

From us older admirers, it's invigorating to see Marty and Dolly so great. I hope Dolly does a NYE Special again this year.
Good job Dolly and Marty! Love this Dolly and Porter classic. Thank you Benjamin for posting.
Hey thank you for your support. I appreciate
A great, great Tom Paxton song! I've been performing this for years. My wife and I were privileged to see Tom perform this in Cedarburg, Wisconsin many years ago. Dolly and Marty do it a great justice!
Blessings to both of the most talented musicians and writers ever. Dolly/Marty tour 2025.
Song was written by Tom Paxton by the way.
I like how Marty's hair matches her dress. Two Legends!
Love it! Their voices available are beautiful together ❤
Love these two. Marty is a great photographer also. Great song and video ❤
I saw Tom Paxton sing his song in a Boston coffeehouse back when he had hair! Check out his He Was A Friend of Mine!
Didnt Tom Paxton write this song?
Yes
This song is how I grieved. Thank you. Memories of healing
Oh, I love this one! A Dolly/Porter Wagoner classic! ❤ Thanks for posting!
I discovered recently how many people sang this song. … including Neil Diamond! Through the past 15 or 20 years, I began to listen to Porter Wagoner. There is a version of Hey Porter by Marty Stuart that I enjoy the best! Every time I run across Porter Wagoner, I always sing …… hey Porter hey Porter. Dolly has a sweet voice!
EVERYBODY sang this song; Joan Baez did a wonderful version, among others....
Thank you for sharing this beautiful performance!!
Dolly live mix sounds real, better here than any of the rock studio stuff.
What an AWESOME concert. Thank you
Caught some great moments with this one! Congrats.
Great sound! Ty!❤

Legendary performance!!
Fantastic Marty and Dolly incredible together
What great artists, what great people!
Greatly to hear such beautiful song
Where was this recorded? They always do a marvelous job!
Love Marty Stuart's story about his wife Connie Smith (also very famous). He saw her perform at a county fair as a Very young man. Then & there he said he determined he would marry her someday. Sweet story, GREAT COUNTRY MUSIC STARS!!
Dolly is a national treasure, and Marty ain't so bad himself. He's a FUCKING BADASS. Be kind to folk.
This is just wonderful 😊
Beautiful duet !! ❤️🥰
Love these two...Why didn't they cut a albem together❤
Wonderful!
great stuff, but dont forget the writer, tom paxton ,'64 or so...
In the sixties I played and recorded this song on my Martin D-28 after hearing Chet Atkins' recording of it. It came out quite good I thought. Chet's version was much better though. Very surpricing!
I live in Philadelphia MS
Good Grief he Topped Porter
Ol Marty has the... Altitude sho Nuff!
Marty has the coolest hair.
Marty and Dolly awesome together both close to Merle Haggard!
Would of lived to hear Marty but Dolly sung louder than him their both great entertainers
I especially the Jose Feliciano version.
I especially love the Feliciano version. Very pretty.
Isn't this one of Tom Paxton's songs?
Yes
Where is Connie?t😮
I'd plunk down 25 bucks for a Marty and Dolly album any day
To heck with wasting your time covering rock crap girl stick with Marty and the Superlitives , They are The Greatest!
They murdered a great song 😢
I wish people would not upload videos that have been taken when from the crowd-the quality is so poor-the picture is sometimes difficult to watch and the sound is horrible.
Linda here…Dolly lost me with her newer rendition of “Jolene” as “Vaccine”. Guess she hasn’t come up with a song for “died suddenly”
I do not understand the fascination with Dolly Parton. She is vulgar and off color, dresses immodestly and is old enough to know better and yet people idolize her like she's a saint. It's a stark testimony to how far our world has fallen.
Tell us, madam, do you know that Dolly has given away hundreds of millions of books to every child in this country and around the world who wants them, totally from her own money? Do you realize that when a large portion of Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee burned to the ground, Dolly supported the displaced families and helped them get back on their feet? Do you know that she supports many charities, quietly giving millions of her own money to help others.
If you got a Moderna manufactured Covid 19 vaccine, you should thank Miss Dolly Rebecca Parton. She paid for its development.
Maybe Dolly is a little rough around the edges sometimes, maybe she doesn't fit your idea of the perfect woman, but I don't recall her ever stating that she is perfect.
I don't recall ever reading in the Bible (which I've read through over a dozen times) that we have any right to judge others.
But just in case I missed something, please tell me, good madam, how does it feel to hang on a cross? Surely you know, as you are so perfect and holy. There was only One Who was capable of being hung on that tree. It was He Who said "Judge not, lest ye be judged."
Just so you know, I'm an East Tennessee girl, just like Dolly. We love Dolly because she's no better and no worse than any of us. She's just Dolly and we love her.
Crazy
She has given so much to children’s causes even though she’s never had any of her own. The world is a better place because of Dolly Parton.
@@HistorianMom Sorry, but I totally disagree. I have heard her make off color comments to men about her breasts and other sexual innuendos. She claims to be a Christian, but her fruit is rotten. God will be the Judge. Nothing is hidden from Him.
The fascination with Dolly is she's a great human being. Humble beginnings and here she is.
marty stuart REALLY.. Dolly could of gotten someone better to sing with like Willie!!
It isn’t a nice version…. Sorry! For two good singers… being flattered with false praise… pity…
Dolly Parton IS God. Deal with it Maureen.
Kathie says…Well, I sure did enjoy it!! False praise? O, I don’t think so!! I think that all of the comments were truly sincere. Perhaps you are having a bad day Maureen…so sorry!!
It’s missing the two stomps of Porter Wagoner's boot pounding against the floor to get the tune going and sealing it shut at the end. I hear the tune, but I still visualize Dolly and Porter on a bare-bones television stage, with an audience sitting on ballpark bench-style seating. No one was dressed as well as Dolly and Porter and the Wagon Masters, except whoever might be guests on the show that day. And of course the impeccable Gilbert Ray “Speck” Rhodes.
LOVE DOLLY and MARTY…SO MUCH TALENT👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍
Just beautiful!!
