5 Things Your Book Needs To Accomplish in the Beginning

1. Introduce MC(s) their goals, desires, shortcoming etc
2. Introduce the conflict or foreshadow
3. The Setting--what’s happening, who is in it; share bits of background info through your setting
4. Hook your readers in the FIRST sentence or paragraph
5. Move the story along. Inciting incident. MC must fall into New World and leave old one behind!
