Alot of time people don't put enough pressure on the spot, hence time and tension. You really have to dig in the muscle to get results...hurts like hell but almost an instant relief when finish.
my flexor hallucis longus is tight under my foot at arch , may have plantar fasciitis causing heel pain but was wondering if thi tightness in flexor tendon could be the culprit, it isnt real tight but tighter than other foot which has no heel pain
It's 2am and I am going to drag myself out of bed to try this. I've been dealing with this pain for 4 months now and I'm an avid runner.... our at least I was before I got this injury. I'll let you know how it goes!
So, I didn't notice anything last night after I smashed it for a while. It took me until 3pm that I haven't favored it at all since I woke up. I'll give a later update but you might have fixed this lingering problem for me my friend!
@@MrJingstar Yes! Shame on me for not updating. I did pretty much what was demonstrated in this video several times a day for about a week and the pain has never come back :)
@@JoeMac1983 Great news! Happy for you :) I am experiencing some pain (more of an unpleasant tension than pain) on the inner side of my ankle which spreads to the achilles-calf region when i run. So i have been trying to do self-diagnose and it came down to three options: achilles tendonitis, posterior tibial tendonitis or flexor hallucis longus tendonitis. The last one explains all of my symptoms including some minor heel pain i had at the same time. As I tried the flexor hallucis longus stretch from another youtube video I had an instant relief at the moment, but even though the pain returned it subsided. So I hopefully found the problem, now I just need to completely get rid of it with those stretches and good strengthening exercises.
It’s so cool that your legs have such clear landmarks

Is there one “smash” like this one for the posterior tibialis?

@@MrJingstar I wish you all the best with your treatment attempts. I know how frustrating it can be.
I am quite flexible but when I do goblet squat my feet evert a little...where else am I tight?
Eversion isn't bad, try to externally rotate further in your hips during flexion.
