    am I missing something? How can any 360 camera like the Ricoh can capture the information necessary to draw a plan with the correct measures without having any lidar or infrared built in?

      Well it’s Photogrammetry, but I will let the internet explain. Also, it isn’t accurate to the inch but a general representation.
      Photogrammetry is the science and technology of obtaining reliable information about physical objects and the environment through the process of recording, measuring and interpreting photographic images and patterns of electromagnetic radiant imagery and other phenomena.

    I also wanted to ask you such a thing, if there are 2 floors in the room, I scan everything on the first floor plus the stairs to the very top, and then when I create a new floor - is it right to not move the first scan on the new floor? That is, the last scan of the first floor (top of the stairs) is the same as the first scan of the 2nd? I just don’t move the camera - I do it 2 times?

      You can change the floor anytime while going up the stairs. But you do not to scan it twice. When you get to the new floor. Change the floor and then take scan. Check out my stairs tutorial on the matterport play list.

    How long does it take to do a standard size house with 1 person?

    • @AgentCaseyG
      @AgentCaseyG  Год назад

      No more than 1 hour. If the scans line up and you don’t need to wait for people to move 30 minutes east.

    Cool video! Please tell me how to change the image that is attached along with the link when sending the tour to the client, I searched for a very long time and could not find where to do it(

      If you edit your matterport the starting point is what the default image is. So change that if you want to show the kitchen 1st for instance. Or use 3rd party company like CAPTUR3D (link in description) where you can use any photo and create a link plus floor plans and more.

      @@AgentCaseyG Tell me how to improve the quality of images in matterport? Does changing the settings in the camera affect those pictures that Matterport itself takes?

      That would have made a long video even longer. That video is coming. Actually comparing matterport add on floor plan or a 3rd parties, captur3d floorplans.

      I guess it would, but even simple "so this is what's happening next" is what I'm missing as I've never used it so I'm not sure how the process ends :)

      Go on Fiverr and create a profile. I use CAPTUR3D for all my matterport needs for the most part. Check out my link. Maybe you can do it for people that are not tech savvy.

    Dude, you're doing it wrong, the website says that the doors are either all open or all closed, I once did it according to your method - there were mistakes! You're wrong, this contradicts matterport advice!

    • @makeev888
      @makeev888 Год назад

      Plus, the website says that you need to start from the lowest floor, your lessons can be really harmful! I somehow missed watching your video about doors...

    • @AgentCaseyG

      Thanks for the feedback. But after a few hundred scans I have the way I do it. Did you create a tour or a floorplan? They also say you can’t go outside but yet I’m able to make it happen. With enough practice you make your own process. Sorry yours didn’t work out. Maybe edit it before uploading for process will fix your errors. Good luck.

      @@AgentCaseyG I've already done a lot of tours. Tomorrow I have a big job to do on 1200 m2. Have you ever done such large objects? I read on the website that 200 points is the maximum, but if I want 400 points, can I upload the model? or will I need to order stitching from them?

    • @AgentCaseyG
      @AgentCaseyG  Год назад

      I have done up to almost 300 scans. But if I’m giving bad advice why are you asking questions? Again I have done hundreds of scans. You can listen to my tips or not. There are so many situations where you have to make it work and you cant start where you want or do it by the book. Watch your scans as you build the tour keep it straight that is the only thing you need to worry about.

      @makeev888 Год назад +1

      @@AgentCaseyG I don't doubt your experience! I wanted to ask you about the number of points inside one scan. Can I make 350-400 points inside one model? Or do I need to use matterport's stitching feature?)
