Thank you so much for posting this video. I recently purchased a 2016 Jetta and it had that dull orangy glow of the stock bulbs. I purchased the LED bulbs you linked in the description and what a difference it makes! I love it
I love hearing that. It makes the car feel like a whole new car and I loved that difference in mine.
@@MTParadise me too. I’ve done the LEDs in the back seat. I used the Yorkim 578 LED Bulb White 30-SMD 3014 Chipset 41mm 42mm LED Bulb Canbus Error Free 211-2 led Bulb 212-2 Led Dome Lights Interior Led Map Light License Plate Courtesy Lights, No-Polar, Pack of 4 thinking I could use them for the map light/dome light and the back seat light. It turns out the map light bulbs are completely different. I ended up getting Yorkim 194 LED Bulb CANBUS Error Free T10 LED Bulb 6-SMD 2835 Chipsets 2825 LED Bulb 168 W5W LED Bulb No Polarity Replacement Bulbs for Map Dome Trunk Liscense Plate Lights 10-Pack 194 LED Bulb White and waiting on them to arrive. Is this normal? Your video used all the same bulbs.

@@dv8ter21 with the kit that I got, there were some of the lights where they fit perfectly and others where I had to almost wedge them into place because the stock ones were different sizes. I had to bend the little prongs out a little bit they all worked perfectly hahaha I’m just glad it all worked out.

This video is helpful, however I have to note that my 2016 Jetta front light is 2 bulbs on each side, not 1 in the middle.

@@MTParadise yea it’s weird, the front light bulbs are different then the back and trunk for some reason.

@@edwardsanchez2325 Naa, I actually just got new HIDs at a local shop yesterday, and got them to do all the interior lights while it was in, so not sure what bulbs they are, just that the front are different then the back and trunk.
What type of bulbs are in the dome light and map/center light?
I don’t have the exact spec. I just got the kit that was set up for that model

What’s the size of the back seat lights . I used 41mm in the front but the back is smaller so I’m guessing 38mm

@@Impervium1090 I tried this don’t recommend after I installed them cpl of them randomly flash on off don’t always turn on Volkswagen told me these cars aren’t good with aftermarket interior bulbs I’m going back to oem

I didn’t think about that. The kit I got didn’t come with those. I never even used them so I didn’t even notice that was a thing with this car lol
@@MTParadise ya actually many things are there in the car which I also didn't knew like the adjustable armrest thing you can adjust it in 3 positions many many more things are there ig
Just wanted to let people know who have a 2018 model these lights will not work I had just tried to install them and it’s not the right size

Pro tip these bulbs cool off in like 5-10 minutes. Just don’t turn them on unless your testing them.

@@MTParadise right. When the sun went down at work i forgot all about my lights. Got off at 9 pm. Got in my car and was like holy shit. Brought my coworkers over to see it and they were like omg that’s so nice. Whole new feel to the car.

@@MTParadise , I tried them on mine Sunday and they wouldn't light so I put the factory bulb's in and they won't come on now either and it's throwing a warning on my dash showing a "light issue"
