    Read Seles & Agassi's biographies....both wound up detesting him; called him more of an opportunist businessman then tennis coach, interestingly they both said their fathers put in the real work while Nick unravelled their game in the wrong directions!

      @Albert C Boris Becker famously said Nick knows next to nothing about tennis, but what he had was a winning formula he opened the world's first large academy where kids from around the globe competed against one another, by the time others imitated the formula the academy had become a huge enterprise monopolising the industry aka think the Disney of the tennis academies. He's a great visionary, not a great coach, it was a numbers game. There are fewer players from his academy winning majors in the last 10 years or because now other academies and programmes are starting to catch up

      @@heema_9451 You nailed it on the spot! Nick was successful due to his reputation, not his body of work or what he did with players. He had lots of great players after they were polished and rider of that success

      @Albert YK Chen there were many exceptional players he ruined from his abusive techniques. Agassi spoke up about this in his book.

    Richard Williams is the GREATEST Tennis Caoch in History. First he taught himself how to play Tennis, Caoched himself, then His Wife, and then Need I mention The William Sisters? and all on a shoeString Budget. That is GREATNESS.

      cameroonculture I hope you know that both Venus and Serena trained with Rick Macci AND Nick Bolletieri + came through IMG's program. Considering all these costs, I doubt they had much of a shoe string budget. Richard helped them come through adversity, Macci and Bolletieri developed them to become pro

    The Big Bang , you're not serious , that any coach would have made the williams Sisters the greatest pair ever. Richard taught the sisters not to fear anything, violence in Oakland , racism in tournaments ,perseverance in your beliefs despite the odds against you. A self taught tennis coach . he applied training that fit his daughters. Practice against men only (they hit harder) tossing a football to improve the serve. He was the epitome and example of love and hard work. No other coach could give the sisters the unconditional love and support. There is so much more. Richard is a true genius along with Orcelean , his wife. He and his wife should be in the hall of fame.

      +Erebt Tbzhhy Perhaps you are trolling, but you may be unaware of the training in Florida that the Williams sisters received for several years at Macci and Bollettieri academies.....Bollettieri student roster has included Grand Slam champions Sampras+Courier+Mirnyi+Becker+Hingis+others. Kei Nishikori has trained at IMG for the last several years.

    There is a swim coach who cannot swim butterfly style himself produced a dvd course called "Better fly for everybody" in similar vein Nick doesn't have any decent strokes at all, have you ever seen him performed completed serve motion or hit a forehand
    ? if your coach cannot swim at all, 'd you go out and swim in the open water after taking lessons from him?

  • @veracohen8908

    Biggest fake the game has ever seen. He's a pretend coach and an actor. Anyone that's been coaching at the Academy knows he's a phony. If there's a camera around he used to suddenly appear from nowhere, stand on court behind a player and play act to the camera he's the coach pushing the reals coaches off camera.

    • @xxxTTandresxxx
      @xxxTTandresxxx 9 лет назад +6

      Anybody can teach the basics, but Bollettieri was lucky enough to be provided with some of the most physically gifted and naturally talented players, it wasn't all his coaching that got them to where they are, it was a lot of luck as well.

      Serena and Venus the greatest players of all time? Give me a break, Venus didn't exactly do much to distinguish herself from any other great women, and Serena has the advantage of having the build of a man... Yet she still loses to small fragile women

      I would actually not say even Bolletieri is the greatest coach of all time, that title could really go to anyone who has coached some of the greats. Mostly it all comes down to luck, because there are some things you just cannot teach someone
