What impressed me the most was his prep work before each task. He spent an equal amount of time on the prepping details, as he did to the project itself. Not sure if this is what he does for a living, if it is not, I know he's a natural and applies the same technique to everything he does. I myself on the other hand don't have the patience when it comes to proper prepping and just add more work for myself! Great job!
Great job 👏 One trick I like to do when sanding is to put a 20 x 20 inch air filter to the intake side of a cheap 20-inch box fan. Just let it run (especially overnight), and it really helps keep the air clean.
It was so light and bright when it was white it made me nervous when you started painting it dark! I still prefer the lighter but it’s stunning. Awesome work.
The bead board backing is a nice touch! Unexpected and lovely. The trouble with matte is it's so hard to clean and with kids and dirty hands, it disks it up like a sponge. Your work is gorgeous though. We are going to do a large corner entertainment center and shelves. It'll be 15 feet when we're done. One wall will be all shelves and one cabinets like you did. Any advice on how to make a nice corner transition from 24 inch wide kitchen style cabinets to 14" wide shelves on the other wall?

One suggestion: when you record with your cell phone make sure is in the horizontal /landscape position so you get a bigger size of the screen so when we watch your videos we could appreciate the video instead of the 2 black side panels all the time

I am building a murphy bed, in my office within a bookcase builtin with a desk that swivels in an out on an "L". I have been extremely nervous to start with the bed, because of choosing plywood types and etc. Your detailed video gave me the kick-start I needed, I will be using butcher block for the counters, but want the wood look. Thank you again.

Great build! really came out nice. What kind of moulding/trim is that at 13:34 to about 13:47? I want something similar for a board and batten wall I am going to install and can't figure out what kind of moulding that is.
Thanks!!! The bookcases are glued to the countertop and secured to the side walls (into studs) and also at the top (there is blocking that these are screwed into). These puppies are not going ANYWHERE. :)
Easier future tip - counter guys use a razor knife and just cut out a little of the sheetrock vs the counter to fix out of square walls. Then back splash etc covers the counter in the wall you cut out ;)

You need to remove the LVP under the cabinets. LVP is a floating floor and must be allowed to expand and contract. An oscillating tool cuts the flooring very easily.
Like the design like the colour but each to there own i would have left the skirting boards white all around the door and window frames and left thw wood top natural to match the flooring but each to there own nice work tho

1. Find studs. Draw line.
3. Find unlevel areas of floor to line up later. Good idea!
4. Use shims to level lower parts.

How did you connect the lights? I never saw electrics wired to the top
did you pull up your existing flooring under the cabinets? I have LVP and everywhere says I need to cut the floor up before putting cabinets down?
