HI! Yes I've had to make a tool on a number of occasions for various things! I don't remember if this was my saw or if I was working on it for a friend of mine... Either way it was a nice saw..
I would have put a small amount of hi-temp. grease on the roller bearing cage assembly and on the crankshaft surface inside the clutch drum. Question: Nice video but the exact part of the oil pump system that was leaking was not explained or determined. After a time, I would expect the new oil pump to start leaking just like the original! I would have examined the original oil pump system to determine just where the leak was originating and the cause.
the piston doesnt need to be all the way at the bottom cause the rope could get caught in the exhaust port. The piston should be on the upward stroke some
So here's my huge question, does anyone know what max rpms these poulans run at?? Awesome video man,I totally rebuilt a poulan wild thing, and I'm having trouble figuring out the max rpms
I can't say for sure about a chainsaw engine. I used to fly RC airplanes and for example a 30cc engine spins about 8500RPM.. I don't remember the size of the chainsaw engine, but smaller ones spin faster and larger ones spin slower. So the 30CC is a baseline for comparison. I hope that helps.
Love that you made your own tool. That was quite a clean looking chainsaw. Looks right out of the box.

Looks like the clutch bolt is a reverse thread.
I can't remember... Did I show it in the video?
why you have not shown that the engine is lubricating?
1969a4ler sorry about that, I tested it and it was working ok, but didn’t show that point
nobody shows the result. Thnx T a B P.
My video was to show how to replace the oiler.... the result is, it works!
