Refinery29 i love this channel my now dream job
+estrellasanchez That's amazing!!
I cringe at so many of these videos
I would be interested in the reaction of different hair types (especially the Original hair Color) to bleaching
Someone going from relaxed/keratin hair treatments to their natural texture.
I thought for that price this haircut was gonna be life changing but it’s actually just a regular haircut
Exactly ! Even the blow dry disappoints me
Ikr! Complete waste of money
Usually the reason stylists charge so much is because you pay for the knowledge they have about hair and all that but I agree this was not worth paying that much. At most maybe like $75
LmAo
My salon gives a better experience and I could do that same haircut. I hate textureizing shears. You can acheive a far better result with point cutting. Texturizing shears are awful for curly or wavy hair.
spoiler alert: it wasn't worth it
Kelsey You're not lying
Yep....
I wish you told me before I watch it. Ugh !!
Yep thought the same.
Poor woman, waste of money. She basically paid for the bits of products they used on her hair that did nothing interesting. Another underwhelming hairstyle
So why did this haircut cost $1500??
Also, I wish she had expressed some honest thoughts at the end of the video. I felt confused when the video just ended after the final reveal of the cut. This video really has no story.
Bao-Nghi Le Clever way to get work to pay for your new hair cut though ;)
Exactly what I was thinking: there was no story. What was the purpose?
I agree! She should have given her feed back on the entire experience etc..
Probably because he’s a master stylist, at that point you can make your own prices
Good point! And I would have liked to have seen her styling her own hair days later. My $60 haircut also looks like a $1500 haircut after I leave the salon!
I rather pay my mortgage then this haircut.
Meeeeeeee
Hell yes!
😂😝🤣 #metoo
This haircut is MORE than my mortgage 😂
video: *ends*
me: *confusion* *speechless*
nat right?! It left you feeling “ok, sooo...”
nat I
bald dude becomes a hairdresser
follow your dreams lmao
goldfish ruclips.net/video/0OfIDaoVesQ/видео.html
well he probably hasn't been bold his entire life..
Its easier for us hairdressers to have very simple to manage hair including no hair haha. It helps you stand out and you don't have the whole judgment hairdressers tend to get when they don't style it majorly everyday. Or when they have a bad hair day or something.
Not just a Stylist...a 'Master Stylist !'
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA HHAHAHAHA
Not even a head massage during the hair wash... lol 👎🏻
RIGHT
Omg ikr
Head massage is creepy.
Girl, just leave a conditioner in your hair, crunch up the wet curld with some curl cream and let them air dry! Your Hair will look amazing for almost no money and no work! it is ridiculus that he charges this much!
+marie Thanks for the tip!
Exactly! While I think it is important to strategically thin out thick, curly hair sometimes so it's not weighed down, really all she needs is to wet comb her hair when she conditions and then apply something like Shea Moisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie. Her hair would respond so well to that.
Yes! Moisture. As I Am Leave in Conditioner is my current favorite. On the shelf at Target.
Refinery29 And Shampoo without silicones and sulfates because those will destroy the curly texture and make it wavy/frizzy
Wait there is curl cream?
Also won't hair be sticky with the conditioner?
I'm not a hairstylist, but the guy didn't do anything that a normal hairstylist wouldn't do?? I lost it at "I call these texturizing scissors." NO JOKE, MAN. You're literally just paying for a fancy name.
Kelsey Hubbard lmao right? She honestly just paid for the shop&the pricey products.. Maybe even part of his car note😂
Actually, those are called 'thinning shears'...and they do texture hair.
This should cost $50 lol
tbh
Madeline Dorothy this should cost 15
thats a reach.
Yyyeeaa... I didn't want to be "that person".. But honestly your only paying for the shop itself&the pricey products.. I want to the leave the salon frizz free..
I go to the local hairdressing school. $12.
"I all them texturing scissors because they texturize"
... *WOW*
I'm nobody
They're literally named texturizing shears idk why he's tying to make it seem like he made it up
And when he said scissors I about shit myself I was like if your gonna charge somebody that much money and educate them please for the love of god use correct terminology texturizing shears
When it says explain your answer on the test 😭
He’s trying so hard to make it sounds fancy 😂 tbh the only thing that change her look is the blow dry..just like other regular haircut 😂😂😂
Ikr!😂😂😂😂
this girl needs the Curly Girl Method BADLY
what's that?
YES! I was thinking the exact same thing!
yeah, it doesnt cooperate because its so dry
what's that method? my hair texture is almost the same as that girl's and i'd love to know how i should work with it
Badly or Baldy?
I love how hairdressers almost always straighten curly hair after cuts because they always overwork it and instead of just washing it again, they're like "nah i'll just straighten it cuz it's frizzy"
Dear hairdressers, PLEASE learn how to work with curly hair.
Signed, the whole curly community
Adding on to that, texturizing shears should NEVER be used on long hair especially curly hair. It creates even more frizz.
I only ever straighten curly hair when the client wears it that way more than curly so it will be even when it’s straight. But if it is worn curly then I will diffuse it and style it that way. And he is so stupid to taking texture shears to curly hair... so dumb...🙄
Katie - Reapfield SO TRUE! Every time I'm going to cut my hair I tell them what works and doesn't work with my curly hair. So i told this girl BELIEVE ME don't blowdry it with a roundbrush PLEASE DONT. and she was like "aw no, you just need to know how to do it right, then it wont look frizzy". when she finished, all she said was: "so, should i braid it for you?" Um yes please, i cant go out of here looking like a wet dog.
I feel the same way! My hair is so insanely curly to where I’m glad that I have a hair dresser that has curly hair like me and that can actually relate what works and what not works. I’ve had horrendous hair cuts in the past just because they don’t know how to style and cut curly hair and be relatable with it.
I LAUGHED really loud after watching this.
I am a hairstylist and I can give you the same cut or BETTER.
I graduated from the AVEDA Institute.
I trained under the brand DevaCurl to learn how to cut Wavy/Curly hair (because beauty school only teaches the BASICs).
I then worked for ULTA and was exposed to all things RedKen and became a RedKen stylist.
My prices are nowhere near this $1,500 haircut.
I charge $45 to $90 at the most and I base the price on the length and thickness of your hair.
Longer/Thicker hair means more time and work spent on your hair.
I'm more REALISTIC versus ridiculous compared to other stylists who charge these big price tags.
She should definitely use some moisturizing products with that curl pattern, her hair looks thirsty :)
+kirstineeibyeelgaardchristiansen Thanks for the tip!
But why is it so expensive??
Niff A good haircut is going to style itself, making it less daily maintenance for the client. It will also look good if it were to go unstyled. Also, a really good cut will look great for a longer period of time and grows out nicely. But for it to be in the hundreds, you are paying for the famous hairdresser at that point.
probs because of the products they used
Cause she gets it cut one a year. I don't think it has anything to do with the cut itself. He's lining his pockets for his name sake.
Niff Because they can.
Because this world is really fucked up and pointless. I mean it was a cut. Not even a colour!! What is life anymore?
This hair cut was definitely NOT worth $1500 dollars.
Um...no. And she wasn't feeling it either. Someone just got finessed out of $1500.
ilykepink I would guess this haircut was given to them for free hence why there was no honest commentary from her anywhere in the video
Could she BE any less excited?
Yeah she seemed to have an attitude.
Chandler that you ???
To be honest that haircut was nothing to be that excited about
Exactly. I don't know if she had a bitchface or was just really disappointed with the haircut
$1500 for this haircut. How could she be excited?
Ok I thought the video was going to explain why the haircut was 1500 freaking dollars! Click bait if you ask me...
exactly...nothing special. Just paying for a name
It doesn't look that much different from when they started? $1500? Really?
That’s a hard pass for me. I feel like most hair stylists could have given her that outcome.
I’d pay maybe $60 for this cut because of the subtle techniques but never $1500
I thought the same thing...Even a couple of hundred dollars would be believable but over a thousand is insane.
This girl wrote in an article that it didn't look much different at first but in the weeks after she didn't have to style it and she actually liked wearing it down and there isn't any more frizz, I wish I had the time at great clips to analyze and cut hair according to how it falls but we get payed based off our hair cut timing
Lol I could get that hairstyle in 1000 taka(money) in my country that's like under 20 dollar in USA 😂😅
I get my haircut done across the street for about 70 taka, then again we guys have shorter hair to begin with.
EngineeredMechanized I'm a girl I have long hair so yupp that takes a shit ton of money
Nah there got be both high-end and low-end places for females, where it might just cost way low for girls. For us guys there are places at either ends.
EngineeredMechanized oh but are you Bangladesh?
Afsana Putul Bangladeshi? 😂 ami to 180 taka tei joss haircut pai 😂
Well I paid about 20 dollars (18 euros) for my haircut one month ago and it turned out AMAZING & they used the same method to dry the hair. They are paying his name and products for sure but still not worth the money! xx
+namastayn Thanks for sharing!!
So is the $1500 for a 2-year subscription of unlimited haircuts? That’s the only way I can rationalize that amount 🤷🏽♀️
Nope. Even that won't do it
There should be a decimal point after 15
1500 dollars?! for this smh. in my country it's like 15 dollars for a haircut 😂
She's thinking ** Great Clips, here I come next time** LOL
Not going to lie, but my best haircuts came from Great Clips because I would always asks for the same stylist. Doesn't matter where you go, it's about finding the right hair stylist.
Speaking as a hairdresser... that was a REDICULOUS price for what she got... it was mostly theater that could be achieved with traditional cutting techniques at a FRACTION of the cost! That guy's had serious gall...
In Morocco this will cost you 6 to 9 dollars
lol true!
for anyone wondering its $1500 because owner himself (Rossano Ferretti) cut her hair. regular haircuts at his salons are like $150-250, but i guess because he is the owner and his time is worth more the haircut costs more. but tbh still not worth it!
I also use texturizing scissors on my $20 haircut
+heartsagainstrobots That's awesome!
You kidding be, I thought for that price there’s gonna be like a keratine treatment or something and a spectacular hairdye but it’s just cutted and blow dried
The girl has such beautiful hair and I think it was a really nice cut without totally changing the general shape which is the real key to good cutting, getting the hair to sit well as it naturally falls. Really pretty
Bangs would look so good on you you're so cute you'd really make them work
Alyssa Pearring her hair is really wavy though so it'd be lots of maintenance
all she needs to do is straighten the bangs so it wont be that much
Friggin Gorgeous
When she talked about her hair before it gave off so much sadness and almost like disappointment or insecurity. Love that she got this makeover! You're gorg, be confident and love your hair!
+kasiakatazyna Thanks for checking it out! :)
the shampooing is the most relaxing part of getting a hair cut and it’s honestly my favorite part
Sooo he gives her the haircut that everyone learns in the first couple weeks of cosmetology school and curls her hair with a blow dryer... something I did every day for nearly a year and the client paid the student salon $15 and my $3 tip. Ooookay.
Nice cut! I’ll do it next time for $500. 😂😂😂
To be honest he has me hooked on getting my hair done
I love the minimalist look of that salon, looks like a relaxing place to get a haircut! I love the final result!
+victoriagrant Thanks for tuning in!
Worth it or not, her hair looks AMAZING!
The hairdresser wears a suit. This is the reason why this haircut is so expensive. Not worth it.
I'm low maintenance too, this is inspiring and I want to call up my salon, shout out to Linda!!
Her hair is going to be freezie with those texturising on her hair OMG!
Cool!! ❤ ❤
For $1,500 haircut,
The water to wash and rinse my hair should come from the purest water, like the artic or something like it.
The shampoo, conditioner, & hair treatment must be from the best of the best, holy whale blubber preferably
And for drying the hair the heat should come from the warmest part of the equator.
But in reality, my hair dresser is a good on me paying $25 and tells me jokes 😂 for free 😁
I love how you give these reports to presenters who wouldn’t normally do this for themselves, she looks aaamaaazing i love it!!
and tbh a 1000 haircut is the experience & fame of a hairdresser... it’s not a transformative cut but it’s a fukin present to yourself 💞
I saw your video today ,and you look so beautyful after the cut. Thank you for the video.
It's a nice cut but definitely wasn't worth $1,500. I would say $100 at the most!
When anyone figures out what part of that haircut cost $1500 .. PLEASE LET ME KNOW! 😅
This is 5x more expensive than what i have earned for 10 years
Her hair looks so good after! Much more bouncy and less heavy!
woooow, he just cut her split ends.... totally worth the price.... 🙄
who payed the haircut? 😂
This is absurd. I got multiple layers of black box dye lifted (any stylist will know how hard this is!), olaplex treatment, head massage, colour- which included shadow root and balyage technique, cut, layers, blow drying and styling done in one session for probably less than a quarter of what she paid. Plus the stylists were amazing and managed to lift my hair with minimum damage so my hair came away looking and feeling better than ever. The fact that someone could pay what it would take me three weeks to earn for a slight trim is mindblowing.
I'd love to see a follow up to this video on how this cut wore for a month afterwards ... In the spirit of the original routine of minimal product and airdrying 🙏
“I call it texturing scissor”, so does everyone else buddy.
This man is acting like he created haircuts 🤦🏽♀️
great clips can do that lol
Your natural hair looks great 😭
After seeing this video on Snapchat two years ago, I spent 10 minutes searching for this video so I could look at the cute lady again.
Curly cuts! Big dry curly hair!
And looks amazing afterwards
Stevany Polnaja but not worth the price
getting a surprise with her hair every morning is literally my life syory. curly hair problems D:
I . NEED . THIS . RIGHT . NOW😲
That hair cut is not worth 1,500 dollars it's a rip off.
fancy
Gia ruclips.net/video/0OfIDaoVesQ/видео.html
This haircut better fix all my hair problems
For that price I was expecting : clarifying shampoo, deep conditioner, repair mask, haircut , high lights , hair extensions , hair styled
1st of all I think she looks cute, 2nd kinda pricey
3rd it's very pricey
Come on...that was not worth 1500 bucks!
Many Many Congratulations for getting $1,500 Haircut and looking 99.999999% same 👏
My 13 year old sister does this everyday herself before school 💀💀
Why is the video so short? Sometimes it takes an hour for a shampoo cut and style. A 10 minute video would be nice. Curly hair usually has more texture than straight hair so I’m surprised he wanted to add more texture. The price seems like clickbait. I mean where was the extra special treatment or hair care products made from some ridiculously priced ingredients? The average haircut with a shampoo and style is around $26/50 depending on how fancy of a salon you go to at least where I live for women’s haircuts. I’m missing the wow factor here. I’m sure he is a talented stylist ,but I don’t see anything worth that much money. If he worked 8hrs a day 5 days a week for $100 a client for 50 weeks he could make. $200,000 a year with two weeks vacation time. If that’s not enough charge $200 per hr and make $400,000 a year. How much money do people need now to be satisfied? I mean in general (not trying to pick on him) . Greed is not a good thing. Maybe if I was a Multi millionaire or a billionaire I would pay that much for a haircut, because of excessive disposable income.
+christina Thanks for your input! :)
Uh... I could have cut your hair a few inches shorter in your bathroom for free and gotten the same result. Hole no one actually paid more that $20 for that.
Your hair looks gorgeous!!!
I love the way he styled it! I was watching close to his twisting motions lol
+janelle09 Same!!
Not worth $1,500
Not worth the money
This kind of cutting hair is a great thing - If your hairdresser is able to to it right. I once got that kind of haircutting at Brockmann and Knoedler Salon in Germany and they cut out all of my curls instead of enhancing them :D
This stylist is an visioner
any Italian here?
Ειρήνη come stai??
FoksiiLejdi bene ! tu? adoro quanto trovo qualche italian* qui, semrbano estinti lol
Ειρήνη molto bene grazie! oh, anch'io
Eccomiii! Anche voi siete sconvolti dal costo esorbitante di questo taglio? 😂
It's not even worth it
I haven’t had a haircut in 3 years skskks
That sexy music during the shampoo and conditioner part cracked me up.
3rd to like
Kamryn S ruclips.net/video/0OfIDaoVesQ/видео.html
Why is it so expensive you could get your hair done for 60 dollars and it will look as good and better
Wow she has a way with manners
You have lovely thick hair. It definitely looks healthier after the cut.
It looks frizzier because he took texturizing shears to it. So much for cutting it in the direction of the hair lol
I'd like to see an update video in the future. I'm curious how you style it at home and if yoyre able to do the blow dry like he did. Also, I hope they gave you all the products they used for that price
At the end, she can't help but laugh lol
Hair cut and hair products are very important. I too spend a lot on hair cut. I always go to a Japanese Salon here in Jakarta.
HELLL NOOOOO even she was disappointed. She was like 😐oh yeah I like it.
Kudos to the stylist for being able to charge that much . . . but the haircut itself was so basic -- a few inches off the length and some texturing (a big no-no for curly hair) on the ends.
lmaooo I was like, "I know for sure the cut is gonna be super simple, but the styling will probably fool it a bit." NOPE. not even the styling was impressive. Honestly, hats off to this man for hustling like that 😂
I used to go to this place that was 7,50euro for the cut, so no wash no style no dry. It was the most liberating haircut ever! hahaha Hate it when they make me look all fancy and I am not able to reproduce the styling and than later realize they styling was to conceal a botched cut
I’m a hairstylist and my cuts are $38... lmao I need to go work at this salon, if I do two cuts a month my bills are paid
