There are bands that produce music that sound like other bands. That's not a bad thing. But no other band comes close to Alexisonfire's sound! Oh and I was at this show!
After I lost my step-bro, I spent the whole night moshing alone, but I realized I wasn't alone.. I was part of a crowd of people who were having the best nights of their lives. When they played Happiness by the Kilowatt, the Moshing in the spot I was at just stopped, and me and this group of like 19 year-olds in dress shirts just sat there, screamed the words, and me & this dude.. Me and this total stranger just fucking cried together. "This is not a funeral.. This is a fucking celebration..."
I love how this song is so minimal but yet so full at the same time. I mean, listen to it, so empty, single notes, lots of distortion - but yet so full. AOF for life
dude i live on Chile ... they play on brazil and i didnt go .... now dallas is going to play on march here in Chile ... but ... ITS.NOT.THE.FUCKING.SAAAAME : (
What an amazing fucking end to a such beautiful story. I'm so grateful that you guys existed, made music. You have been a mirror to my inner voice, and you will. Cosmos bless you.
And to those that think it is over and it's sad. Well think of it this way, as long as we still listen to our favorite songs and remember the shows then this band will never die. We as fans are the heart of every band we like. As long as we still beat then Alexis lives on :)
So.... im a loser because I am a MASSIVE Dallas fan and have only just started listening to Alexisonfire. Fucking gutted. They are the shit, there is not one band in my life that tops their amazing music. Jealous of everyone who got to see them live, if only my ears had been graced with this music a few years ago.....
Best band ever. They will be back my friends. When I met them, I remember George making jokes about if they we broke up that they would show up every few years for a reunion show.
The Hamilton show was the best party I've ever been to. The very first chords in Young Cardinals, me and my step-bro looked at eachother like "This is gonna be one long fucking night" because of all the moshing. When the actual song started, we were separated within seconds. Didn't see him until the end of the show, except for when I lost one of my shoes, and bumped into him. He noticed, and 10 minutes later I bumped into him and lucky enough, he had my shoe. He had to punch someone in the face.
Damm I wish I had a Chance to see them live :'( hopefully if my band gets famous I can play some of their songs at concerts! I already play their songs at gigs!!!
I love ya music, its all thats keepping me positive rite now... Such a distance above and ahead the conformist's artists raping my head lately. Your music is my endless awesomness! thank you all u fuk'n rock. Im gona by all ya albums then crank em up. Have only got 1 at the mo... Wish i heard sooner. U da bees knees. Ima go "watchout!" now, Peace n love, Tim Churches from N.Z. best wishes to ya all.
I was at AOF's second-last show in Toronto on December 30th, 2012. Problem is, this was before I fell in love with the band and was emotionally impacted by them, or even knew any of the songs from "Watch Out!" for that matter. I'd do anything to go back 6 months in time and go through all the shit that I have in life for a second time around, all to catch them play Happiness By The Kilowatt as their final song
how? Hamilton was amazing. Moneen on accidents, that johnny mitchel guy on dogs blood, 24 song set list, dallas' last speech, wade smashes his guitar, the very last show aspect.

The first time they put a commercial in the middle of a song, RUclips was never the same. It’s like putting a math equation in the middle of sex.
That is a great analogy
ad blocker plus will save your life

the new part that dallas puts into this song is fucking 10/10
I thought this song couldn't be better.

There's always the one spot in a band you dream of playing in, but gosh if every position in Alexisonfire isn't an envy
Drug addict , shouty vocal waste of space .. good guitar , good drums ... I can see why he left and released himself.
Theonlybandever.
one of the best live songs I've heard
What an amazing fucking end to a such beautiful story. I'm so grateful that you guys existed, made music. You have been a mirror to my inner voice, and you will. Cosmos bless you.

Dallas Green (aka City and Colour on his solo acoustic stuff) is the guitarist/singer, George Pettit is the lead singer (screamer)
