Gorilla Kiango Runs to Dad for Playtime Fun

In this video, we see a playful three-year-old gorilla named Kiango mischievously snatching a branch from Mintha, a 50-year-old elder female gorilla. Kiango then cheekily uses the branch to playfully spar with Mintha.
Next, the energetic Kiango drags the branch around the yard, running all over the place, and eventually makes his way to his dad, continuing the playful antics.
This video vividly showcases Kiango’s lively and mischievous nature, allowing us to experience the close and joyous interactions within the gorilla family.
Due to background noise from human activity, the original audio has been mixed with natural bird songs for a more peaceful viewing experience. Where possible, I will keep the natural sound intact.

Kiango is such a naughty boy. Tubby and cute. I'm not too sure that Mintha was enjoying his games 😂 It's good to see Bao Bao looking well, Apenheul takes such good care of him. I wish all gorillas could live in a habitat as gorgeous as this. 💖💖🦍
Mintha doesn't seem to like Kiango's enthusiasm ❤️🔥🤣🤣🤣. Kiango is really energetic👏👏👏. Baobao looks fine, but he doesn't seem to want to move much. The zookeeper told me he has a heart problem, so the zookeeper will be paying special attention to him♥️🦍🙏🙏🙏.
@@AllThingsGorilla😊TBF, BaoBao has always seemed like he’s not impressed by life away from his longtime home. He wasn’t accustomed to other gorillas or sharing. I don’t blame him for that either.

@@shawna6683 Agree 👍🏽 It certainly seems to be the case judging from BaoBao’s **Appearance** alone. He seems Lethargic and quite thin for a Mighty Silverback 🦍
@renewashington791 The zookeeper told me that Baobao has heart problems, which is why he doesn't like to be active. He also appears much thinner than other silverbacks and has indeed lost a lot of muscle.🦍🙏🙏🙏

I haven’t seen King Kiango in a awhile! He’s gotten so tall but still has that cute round belly! Nems was the best surrogate mom Kiango could have. Gyassi would be proud of her sister!😊
Kiango is really adorable, very lively, and gets a lot of exercise every day 👍👍👍. He is either bothering Baobao or Mintha. He ate all the vegetables 🥬 in the three highest enrichment boxes hung by the zookeeper, so he always has a round little belly 🤣🤣🤣.👍👍♥️🦍💋

Baobao looks fine👍, but he rarely moves. The zookeeper told me they will take special care of him because of his heart problem🙏🙏. Kiango is always on the move😊; he's a little troublemaker.🤣🤣🤣

I was just saying about his back story. He used to be a huge silverback when he was at taiwan but suffered an illness and lost a lot of weight bless him.

Thanks to you and the other gorilla sites that are dispensing with the accompanying circus music. I love the natural background sounds and it gives the animals dignity, not like they've some type of circus performers.
Normally, I try to keep the background audio, unless there's too much noise. In that case, to avoid affecting the viewing experience, I’ll add music instead.🤝♥️🦍
Oh shoot…BaoBao was having real fun with Kiango and he looked disappointed when he scampered away. I’m sure I’m reading all sorts of nonsense into this.

I can only imagine the fun he would have with Ja and Ringo. I know he is well taking care of but I kinda feel bad he has no sibling to play with. I by the looks of the troop I don’t think that is gonna ever happen unless they bring in another young female. Is that a possibility here at this zoo?
Actually, Nemsi is very young, only 23 years old. We look forward to Kiango having new brothers or sisters.😊😊💋🦍♥️

In 2011, Nemsi had a son named Mzungu. Now, he lives with his dad Jambo and his brothers in a bachelor group in the UAE.

How is Bao Bao feeling? I know he has a heart condition, and wasn't feeling well not long ago. It's lovely to see current videos of Kiango, as I loved G'yasi so much. She lives on in Kiango and Tayari ❤ Kiango is so lucky to have all his aunties and Bao to care for him. ❤

Although it’s Obvious he seems to be fine with Nemsi and she’s been a GREAT Mum to Kiango, 🥰💋 did he show any Signs of Grief or Depression after his Bio Mom passed away?? How did that Situation transpire??
@renewashington791 The official statement says that Gyasi died of a bacterial infection in 2022, when Kiango was only 1 year and 5 months old. Nemsi took on the responsibility of raising Kiango, acting as a mother👍. At that time, Kiango must have been very sad🥹, but now you can see how lively Kiango is, indicating he has received excellent care from Nemsi and has grown up healthy😊💋🦍♥️. At that age, he probably had not yet been weaned, so the zoo must have given special attention to young Kiango as well.
