I'm about to switch my controller from the right arm to the left, last parts to install my legrest assembly when my roller tray gets here by this weekend. Gotta find bolts for the roller tray and the back attachment point for the legrest actuator. I'm tickled to tackle this project! My anti-tip wheels are on the way, but those come with the bolts.
I took the chair out for my first real test ride after adjusting the fit, yesterday. Put it through some paces in my apartment building's parking lot, then decided to go to my mailbox, up the hill. We have a 15% grade, and I wanted to see how the chair would handle it. No problem. Handled it with aplomb. Love this chair so far!

Wow they did a crap job of putting that seatback together. At least on mine the provider used black round head bolts and black dome nuts. I like using Ruspert black screws on my chair when adding things.

That grip tape is hilarious, I love it! Also in my mind I think the F3 is hands-down what is the most reliable power chairs on the market to this day! I've been driving my newest one that I took ownership of last year in December and it's just us reliable as my first F3 that I purchased back in 2015.

I can't get used to my F3 and really like how the C300 handles the F3 seems to whip when turning 180 degrees, the C300 is so much smoother, I used your technique to repair error code 0E00 on the C300 thanks, also Mr. Bezos sells black metric assortments cap bolts, cap screws, and more.

In the F3 you have a gyroscopic steering set up, so it helps with stability control. It can take a few adjustments in the onboard programming to get these chairs to drive the way you want them. Your best bet is the contact your DME to make adjustments in your programming to help make it feel like you have more control and have a more comfortable ride

My wife feels exactly the same way. She HATES the F3, and will not get out of her ancient C300. The DME has made all kinds of programming adjustments, but it still "whips" (which is exactly the word she uses). She also has an M3, which she hates almost as much as the F3, not just for the handling, but the "clacking" that sounds like a noisy solenoid. WTF!!!

the stock programming on the chairs is almost unusable - especially on carpet! for indoor low speed use, a profile needs to be setup with fairly high acceleration, and a lower overall speed. also minding the direction the castors are pointing can help a lot as well ( video about that ruclips.net/video/C0Lr_YIMUck/видео.html )
what happens is when you attempt to turn, and the acceleration rate is set too low, the chair slowly ramps up power, but on carpet or other surfaces its not sufficient to make the chair start moving.. the power slowly builds and builds, and by the time the resistance is overcome, the chair has ramped up to a fairly high speed - which results in the 'whipping' motion that happens. so more torque needs to be applied at a lower speed - BUT the overall speed needs to be low to prevent this from happening. it can all be taken care of with proper programming - but a lot of DME's / dealers don't have the time/understanding of how to set things up properly

I was able to get the back rest on my M3 fixed. It turned out it was a latch and when they had install the bag hooks, they put it back on wrong so that lunch wouldn’t allow the backrest to latch into place. Which was causing it to rattle constantly.

Personally I would have used silicon double sided 3m tape between the fenders it's good, doesn't leave gunk when removed and it seals water and dirt. It's the best tape I've ever used. Old double sided tape is gross and doesn't come off without having to resort to chemicals.

Hi, I just got my second F3 today. Is there a way to mute the beeping sounds on the controller? Also, I remember there was a way to turn off the green function lights , I can't remember how to do so. Finally, I plan on keeping my other F3 as a back up to be used every several months for travel. What is the best way to handle the battery charging for that chair? Thanks so much for your help and knowledge!

    • @TotallyNormal-
      @TotallyNormal-  Год назад

for the start up noise, and other beeps, go into the user menu (top left soft key - press and hold for a few seconds) then go to programming --> controls - the sound options are in there :^)
as far as storage, charge it up overnight, park it somewhere, and flip off the breaker on the back of the chair!
the circuit breaker on the back makes storage a LOT easier to prevent batteries from draining!
try and keep the batteries from freezing temps if possible -
(if they're super cold, bring the chair into a heated area for about 24 hours BEFORE ya plug in the charger)
when ready to use chair again, plug it in overnight, and you're all set!
depending on how long its been stored, the batteries may take a few nightly use/charge cycles to come back up to normal capacity though.
when that breaker on the back is turned off - the batteries are disconnected completely from everything - so its as if they're just sitting on a shelf :^)
almost forgot - DO NOT leave the chair plugged in for long periods of time! (MAX of 48 hours)
depending on the charger, leaving a one connected for weeks or months can toast the batteries)
