- Whats the better 2 stroke? 2019 CR125 VS 2019 KX125 Two Stroke
I finally got out to ride both the KX125 and the Cr125 back to back to get a feel for both and see what I like better. The KX125 now with the new Lectron H Series Carb and PhatHead Racing head pulls better and overall has more power but the CR125 is smoother overall kinda comparing it to say a MOD Pit bike vs a Stock Pit Bike. Both solid biked and a blast to ride.

I’ve always wanted a dirt bike and I had almost got a kx125 years back when I was a lot smaller, I’m around 6’2” 190 do you think a 125 2 stroke would still fit well for a starting bike?
logan spivey yeah it probably would, but if you’re just starting I consider getting a 4 stroke because they don’t have as much power and you can get used to it quicker. Then move on to the 125 or 250

That cr kinda has a nice raw 2 stroke sound and sounds kinda like my 85 , both really cool and I prefer the look of the kx but the cr looks faster.

They both awesome, I like the Kawasaki more, when they riding I think the Cr sounds better but then when they are just sitting there idling and getting revved up I like the Kx sound more

I remember the first time I rode a kx. In 2004 I had rode Suzuki and Honda growing up and had rode a little of everything. I had been on a kdx but not a kx. But my best friend got sponsored by Kawasaki because they owned the track. I had a Yamaha yz 125 and had been riding it for 2 months. Than I got on his kx and the very first thing I noticed was how much rougher it was. Even the power and way it ran. They were both 2004 modles but the Kawasaki felt like rideing a bike from the erly 90's to me at the time. Not the heavy part. Just had a rough way about it. I've always loved Honda though. In my opinion Honda and Yamaha are the toughest and most reliable if maintained correctly.

Team green rider program was back in the day second to none, maybe still is, that's worth something. At races they would help young riders with their bikes even Honda riders. I hope they are still awesome.

I have had both, I always thought my CR'S were smoother, the KX seemed a more violent powerband.
Same cr handles and suspension are better too but the motor on that kx makes up for the lack.
My cr85rb has a insane powerband it but it has no low end power

The CR 125 seems to be struggling due to incorrect gearing setup.
I would def choose the CR , it comes down to personal preference
