    This video is excellent; the Chinese is only hsk1-3, however it is spoken quite quickly and with accents, as normal Chinese people speak. The hanzi are nice and large and thus can be read. The repetitions really drill it in. 5 stars for method. The actors are very good, so is the mis en scene. I really enjoyed this video, thank you! Liked and commented :)

    This is a fantastic idea!!! They speak so fast, but this way one can get used to conversational Chinese. As a language teacher I firmly believe that watching shows is one of the best methods to learn a language. Please make many more of these!

      Don't listen to slow Chinese. Your ears will get used to fast ones. But you gotta keep listening repeatedly

    Love this. The speed is fast but is helped by the background sound..... atmosphere is 90% of confidence in the outside world. Thanks for this. It works as a supplement for healthy learning.....especially the tongue muscles🤣🤣

    Cici, really well done. Scenes such as these expose the racket and the sheer ridiculousness of textbooks and the ENTIRE HSK industry, selling their victims mere illusions of knowledge of chinese. And THIS statement goes for any institutionalised language learning industry too. Two prominent examples come to mind, ie the Cambridge franchise & the Goethe Institut, two of the world's fiercest & most dictatorial would-be lingo learning rackets.

      That's why the slowed down version starting from 1:55 is very useful for beginners. It would be great if the music is not that loud, so we can hear the conversation part better.

    Do they speed up the audio?

  • @smoothbanana
    @smoothbanana 2 года назад +5

    The issue for me wasn't so much the speed, but that some parts were so slurred that I couldn't make out what the words were. This could be due to poor speech or more likely, the actresses chatting rather casually as per the situation. I suppose when you are familiar with how certain people speak and how they construct their sentences, you can more or less guess what they are saying even if they are mumbling.
