Lions need an edge rusher opposite Aiden, if they can get pressure the secondary can feast. Prime example, is when Detroit had Ansah, Fairly, Suh & Avril.
Montez Sweat is an absolute dawg. Would be a great addition that doesn’t break the bank too much. I’m sure Holmes is on top of things so whatever happens I’m not worried.
They also need a CB, Safety depth, RB, WR…. I almost think Holmes understands they can win the division with their roster but are multiple pieces short of competing with SF and eagles for NFC. He will retain picks and build through the draft.
Ain't gonna be no trade. The Lions aren't going to trade ANY draft picks as the Lions are working at 'building' developing talent through the draft. The only thing I could see them trading for is Draft Picks, but they aren't sellers. I've been seeing these speculations on players the Lions will be trading for, but it's not going to happen. Mid Season Trades are exceedingly rare and typically consist of teams trying to offload big contracts for draft picks. Lions don't need that right now and aren't going to trade away ANY draft picks. They will be open to signing Free Agents in the offseason but they're not going to make a trade...STOP IT.
Derrick Henry; we need a solid backup for Montgomery. I think we can get to the playoffs with what we have now.We have at least one more year of draft building so I wouldn’t give any top picks away.Besides i think the A.F.C. Win’s the super bowl this year
If the Vikings lose the the Packers. Edge rusher Hunter would be an excellent trade opportunity. We gave the Vikings TJ Hockenson. Why not have them scratch our backs for once?
Reports are that Lions called Washington about Sweat and Fuller. They passed on Young. Washington called back and offered Allen and Fuller. I'm guessing it's one of those two. I'll be hyped either way.
@zackpierce8729 you're wrong. Dan Thornton of Lions Talk Live did an entire video on it yesterday. Off the Cuff also had the same information. I bring receipts. Next time ask so you don't look foolish.
@@jamesreed2475 I think that he's saying Lions Talk Live doesn't have credible sources and Off the Cuff is just repeating what Live said. He also said Lions were getting Chris Jones from KC and Mike Evans from Tampa. Lastly, he said Washington "beat writers" told him but none of those beat writers actually reported it themselves. Does that make sense?
Too many non-brand name players can be had for a 3rd or lower that can fill needs. That's Brad Holmes target area. MAYBE a 2nd for Young. I'm expecting either guys that are on expiring contracts for a 3rd or guys that have produced and a coaching change has buried them on the depth chart. Also, bad teams going into obvious rebuild wanting draft picks. Terrace Marshall Jr, Donte Jackson, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Hunter Renfrow, Josh Uche, Carl Lawson, Marcus Maye, and Derek Barnett in one way or another fit a Brad Holmes shopping list.
@@justanothersportsfan I understand. Detroit had the #3 pick and they took Okudah. I was hoping that the Redskins didn't take Young and Detroit picked him up instead of Okudah.
SMB@CB would be a good add, along with AJ from NYG. @DE, I would take Sweat >Young. I also like Fuller @CB from the C'ders as well. Maybe a package deal??🤔🦁 good job! 🎙👍🏾👍🏾
i also dont buy the calling washington on allen and fuller, 2 small time youtubers said it so it must be true and the one dude literally said he has no nfl contacts lol, not one other credible source has mentioned this anywhere.....dude also said a 3rd and a 6th to get those 2 as well and id have to think the price would be higher
ngl i wouldnt want to take on his contract for just a one year rental, titans would probably want a round 2-3 pick which is a little high for a washed up one year guy you know

Lions never had those 4 at once. Avril went to Seattle before Ansah was even drafted.
they also had darius slay in his prime then

I would like Sweat. Would be nice addition!
If Detroit can add 2-3 of these players mentioned ?? Good job highlighting potential prospects, hope Holmes is watching.
Appreciate you!
Allen from Washington is 6’3” and 300 lbs. he’s a DT who already has 3 sacks. He’s another one to watch for.
It might take some convincing but that's a dream scenario
The Lions defense needs a true vet leader to beat the heavyweights. Allen could be their Roquan Smith.
And he’s PISSED at Washington.
@@bobby_D yeah I heard that Bobby. I don’t know if Coach is going to be for someone like him. I kind of hope so. How about you.
@@thek3289 he definitely has a fire 🔥 in his gut. I’d like to see him and Sweat. What do you think bro.

I wanted Chase Young drafted over Okudah.
He was taken #2 man, that was not possible

they gotta bring in a guy who is good in the locker room as well, because they value that "chemistry" if thats what you wanna call it
They don't need to be "good" in the locker room, just not a problem, with a lack of "lazy bad film".
That's why they don't win. They always going after these choir boys. Forget chemistry they need Dogs
Didn't win what? lmao
The two biggest categories would be don't have tape with a ton of flags or low effort.
@@aaronrobinson8198 buddy their winning right now and they don't want to pick up somebody with a different vibe and knock off their chemistry

Your tag says "the Lions are about to make a BIG trade" Are you an NFL insider, or just hoping? I do get so very tired of all this tag line BS.
Cap cap cap
Id hope to get Derrick Henry

We have David Montgomery tho
I'm not sure they are going to do anything, it seems Brad prefers the draft.
