While we were planning our wedding last year, we realised having a big wedding ceremony is actually not that important for us and it is sooo expensive. Instead we married in the courthouse and spent the money on a long honeymoon in tuscany and french riviera. Best decision we have ever made! ❤️
But she still shows up with Starbucks because that’s more important than being on time as a maid of honor.. and didn’t even bring Natalia Starbucks for herself 😂😂😂 idkkk
Partner and I are doing courthouse 2 witnesses and our kids. Reception is relaxed at home meat on spits and sides. Our cake is two store cakes for under AU$70
My mom and dad got married in a Courthouse at 26 then at the church at 28 on a minimal budget! I stand with you on this because there are upcoming married couples wanted practicality over being broke!
My fiancé and I are having a small wedding, 10/15 people the most. We're going to the courthouse and having a small party afterwards and use the rest of the money for a down payment for a house, trip, and another car for me and, still have some leftover. We rather have the money then spend it all at once on a day.
@@CherryBlossom28479 Omg first of all I wish you two a lifetime full of happiness and love. And second of all literally the best decision you could've make. you can spend that money on your loved ones and yourselves instead of a bunch of guests.
Girl, I've followed you for so many years, just wanted to tell you that you're an absolute gem and an inspiration, it's great to see how far you've gone and how much you've grown
My husband found me an art deco engagement ring from 1921ish, and we bought a new wedding band. I'm obsessed with it and so in love with it because I know nobody with anything similar, and it's 100 years old now. It's about the right ring for the right person. For me, it was heart (and quality) over size and it's the best way!!
Growing up I always wanted a lavish wedding… now that I’m engaged I changed my mind. I want a VERY small wedding with only my parents, sisters and their families, his parents and singling and their family. That’s it. It just makes it more romantic IMO. The most expensive part is our photographer. Everything else is super cheap and minimalistic.
Loving this video! I live for inside scoops on industries and the way Natalia portrays and explains everything so coherently makes it soooo enjoyable to watch. Keep up the good work love ❤❤❤
I’ve been engaged with my fiancé for 3 years now! We’re still waiting to be more settled to get married. We wanted a backyard wedding on a canal. We just got a canal home in Jan 2022 - so we achieved our goal and can now have our perfect wedding 💒 small and in our own backyard. Everyone is different ❤️🙌
My husband and I got married during the pandemic. We weren't even allowed to bring one witness. It was just the two of us, and it was completely romantic. I have many friends who got married, and sadly, the debt of their wedding day has outlasted the marriage. We just spent the money on the license, the gas to get there, a simple dress for me, my dream shoes, and a romantic dinner where we got engaged. I would not change a thing. Do what is best for both of you on your day where you celebrate your love. No one else gets a vote. PS I have been a flower girl, a bridesmaid twice, and a maid of honor five times. The happiest weddings and the ones most fun to be a part of (which were only 2 of the 8) were the ones where the bride and groom didn't try to get the day perfect but just wanted to celebrate their love with their loved ones; the other ones were so not fun to be a part of. In fact, the commercialization of weddings has really made me hate weddings. I don't think I'll ever agree to be in a wedding party again, and I'll only go if I'm very close to the couple. Enjoy your day and the days leading up to your wedding, but the marriage, for me at least, has been the fun part. :)
Love this style of video you’re doing now! 😍 Please could you look into the breast implant industry/ breast implant illness some time, to help raise awareness of this? There are millions of women who’s lives have been ruined by breast implant illness (bii) including myself. Once I removed them I got my health and life back. Doctors don’t let their patients know that this is a risk of getting breast implants. I think it would be amazing if you could help other women become aware of this issue before they make that decision to get implants! Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
My fiance got me the perfect ring for a steal! It was a $2300 ring that he got for $800 because it was returned. He knows I love a great bargain, which made me love it (and him lol) even more! It's a gorgeous 12 diamond, 1.5 carat total ring, and it's super unique and perfect! I also got my $2000 dress on clearance for $600. There's no need to overspend when planning a wedding! I'm so glad you are making these videos! Sending love from indiana!😘😘😘
"Pointing at customers and reducing them to a dollar sign..." You literally just described the entire capitalist system we live under in America. How is that a shock?
Thw intro with Cinderella was so cute and funny! Loved all the editing in this tbh it was awesome, like the Lizzie McGuire!😍 Love these long forms videos Natalia!
Before I even knew you were most excited about dress #3 three, I literally thought “wow. That’s the one.” I don’t know what it is, but it just was made for you. You look SO beautiful!!!!
I Work on a jewelry store and i hate having to stare at a customer while they’re shopping but I need to. Since there are a lot of expensive stuff, we have to make sure no one is stealing. Even tho I trust them, I still need to stare haha
We met different types of sales people during our process. Some were super pushy which turned us off. We really liked this one jeweler but didn't end up buying from him due to an experience we had that was not his fault. He brought in a guy from New York who had a collection of rings as part of an event which we attended. Well we had a budget and the jeweler knew it but not the guy from New York. So of coarse I get shown the most expensive ring and fell in love with it only to be crushed by the price. The jeweler you could tell was bothered by this and tried his best to turn things around. I felt bad because I wanted to buy from him but I left in tears. We eventually found one I liked somewhere else.
It’s interesting, because I’m not there in life yet, I never thought about what the wedding industry was like. Thank you for sharing this. Also I love how you paired this look together
Not married but whenever I pictured having an engagement ring I always wanted something simple bc I don’t see the need for an expensive or big ring. Also when I was younger I always wanted a big wedding but now that I’m older and realize how much they cost I’d rather not go into debt and maybe wanna do something simple 😅
I heavily recommend finding a custom jeweller!! The rings will be so much more unique and meaningful usually. I get so many compliments on mine even though it’s not a tradition white diamond, although, you certainly could get one (or many). Just something to consider! And you’re helping smaller businesses with a more creative eye :)
Girl, we spent around 5K (for EVERYTHING), and it was GORGEOUS. If you can put in the time, and have good people to help you, you don't have to shell out 20K... Sheesh!
I work at a wedding dress store, and I can tell you that establishing a relationship with your client is essential. I've had many clients come back and personally thank me for helping them find their dream wedding dress, or have invited me to their (often small) weddings. Unfortunately due to commission, it is more competitive in the wedding field. I have coworkers who become possessive or jealous over high paying customers. People are pressured into buying grand, and that often leads people to spending thousands of dollars. I agree with the guy, it's better to build a personal relationship than see people as numbers. Love your videos❤ im glad the girls helping you with dresses showed how stylists are supposed to be!! Love you!!!
I've been married once already and honestly we just went to the courthouse. As much as I wouldn't mind having a wedding I'm OK with the courthouse. As for the size of the "rock", I don't like big tacky diamonds but I don't like I'm really small either. I'd be OK with it being average sized. I used to have a Claddagh ring where was made out of white gold but it had a heart-shaped Diamond that wasn't too big or too small.
I love the parts that felt like a vlog style about you and planning the wedding! Of course, learning about the industry is interesting but definitely more interested in your opinions and life in general. 😊
i never thought weddings were so expensive in America too; but here in India, it is much much worse....the idea of the big fat Indian wedding is idealized by many and so many parents, end up using almost all of their life earnings on just one wedding rather than their children's futures... also in India the process of marriage is a series of ritual going on for a few 4-5 days.
I literally adore you for putting this much time and effort into your videos and for making them informative!! You are like nobody else on RUclips and I wish you could post more😩❤️❤️❤️
I’m sorry but I call Jason’s bluff. Unless he was living in his parents basement there is known way for him to live off of just his hourly wage. Let’s see that would be minimum wage here in Canada it $15.25 hr. He needs a nice suit to wear to work starts at $200 and decent shoes to wear to work $125. he does still need to have at least one piece of nice jewellery for a man will say that’s a watch $200. He has already spent well over 2 weeks pay on one outfit and he needs to work 5 day so do that math. He sounds exactly like a real good salesman, and is creative in his story telling. Retail worker make next to nothing. Regardless I love this series. 💓
Excited for part 2! I hope she’s going to talk about the trick that jewelry salespeople like to use where they’ll sell you a 1 carat diamond 💍 but it’s really .75 and the small stones around it make it 1 carat total so they can charge more.
I kind of wish they had talked about other gems. I always see such a stigma around moissanites and I don't get why. Would love to hear a salesman take on this That apart, I absolutely loved this video
As someone planning their wedding, it really is all about the industry trying to get you to spend more. Buy a second dress, a wedding day perfume, gifts for everyone, more gifts for bridesmaids, customized ring boxes, etc. If you aren't careful, you'll feel pressured to do all this extra stuff.
is it me or the couples who usually have crazy weddings, last the least amount of time? I know a lot of couples who have been married for 10+ years and non of them had huge weddings. always something small and cute
Before my husband got my ring custom made (I didn't see it or know what it looked like before he proposed), he took me to a jewelry store. Had me look at sizes. Truthfully, I really think the sales rep was baffled when I kept saying "smaller, that's way too big." I think I wound up with a 1/2 karat or 3/4 karat tanzanite. I can't do large, gaudy rings. They're not my thing. It was kinda funny. I cared way more about what the band looked like than the stone.
Natalia!!! This is amazing! The filming, the narration, the editing! Its all absolutely exceptional! You should be so proud! Cant wait for the next part!!!
The funny thing is you don’t have to get expensive rings, I love vintage rings you don’t have to get an expensive dress either I know a lady who makes custom dresses for well under $1000, most of the ones in the shops (even name brand shops) look exactly the same, everyone wants to be different but they all end up looking the same regardless. There’s no reason your wedding should cost thousands of dollars it’s just insane and you never tell anybody in catering or getting flowers that it’s for a wedding because they will always up the price. And I hate to say it but of course they’re going to be sweet and wonderful to you they want you to buy an expensive dress. I hate it all of those dresses you tried on I’ve seen in so many other places so many times and probably cheaper.
agreed i don’t understand the people who spend so much on their wedding. after it’s over, it’s pretty much money in the trash. just spend that money on a great honeymoon!
@@kianna270 exactly go somewhere amazing for your honeymoon the only thing people are gonna remember if your wedding is how good or bad the food is so if you’re going to spend money spend it on really awesome food.
When my husband went ring shopping, the man told him he couldn't afford anything there. So he assumed it was true and it took a long time for him to go ring shopping again. We went with a different stone and through mod gents because it's so much more affordable
my ring is a lab diamond and is certified etc. but it was so much cheaper and I got a beautiful stone with slightly less of the whole industry "culture"
I'm not at the part of my life of getting married yet, but it's so interesting to see a video about the industry and what it entails. Everything sounds so expensive. Yikes! I'm glad I inherited my grandma's ring. Sentimental value to me is more important than how much a ring costs. And, congrats Natalia on getting engaged!
This Is A FANTASTIC Deep Dive ... Behind the scenes & what you don't know & should know ! Great Expose & Congratulations 💍🥂 On Becoming a Future 👰🏻♀️. - Really Interesting !!! 😊
I'm curious to know, how do i find a jewelry salesperson like that? What questions should i ask to make sure they aren't just seeing my as a dollar sign?
I worked on the catering and venue side of wedding planning and loved it! Hated the sales side, but love the planning. I worked with people of all different budgets. That’s the first thing I’d suggest to do when planning a wedding. Sit down and come up with a budget so it doesn’t turn out to be unrealistic or too much. Then choose the venue and secure a date. Everything else can be planned after that.
I'm planning a wedding too! Great video! He proposed with his late grandmother's ring, I feel so honored that he gave me her ring. Also I'm wearing red! Only about 10 months to go!
As a former chef, I can tell you as soon as you say the event is a wedding!! The price will more than double… for no other reason only that ppl will pay it n expect to pay at least £1000 for the room only… then the price for tables, them to be dressed… the food… your looking at for a basic package £5000 when it’s nowhere that… the profit margins are insane!!!
While we were planning our wedding last year, we realised having a big wedding ceremony is actually not that important for us and it is sooo expensive. Instead we married in the courthouse and spent the money on a long honeymoon in tuscany and french riviera. Best decision we have ever made! ❤️
My fiancé and I are doing the same thing, courthouse, invite friends/family for a small party, a great honeymoon and, have enough leftover.
I’m doing the same exact type of wedding!

But she still shows up with Starbucks because that’s more important than being on time as a maid of honor.. and didn’t even bring Natalia Starbucks for herself 😂😂😂 idkkk

@@elinoiise thank you so much!
my ring is a lab diamond and is certified etc. but it was so much cheaper and I got a beautiful stone with slightly less of the whole industry "culture"
You’re stunning!!!!
Congratulations on your engagement 😊
I'm curious to know, how do i find a jewelry salesperson like that? What questions should i ask to make sure they aren't just seeing my as a dollar sign?
Dress number 3 suits you nicely!
pov: me not liking huge stones on rings

Not the Milena Ciciotti clip omg 😂
You should do a video on figure skating and talk to Gracie Gold maybe
Moissanite all the way
Do you have a studio and set now?!

Dresss 3!! 😧😃😍😍😍👌🏻
Love your videos
I worked on the catering and venue side of wedding planning and loved it! Hated the sales side, but love the planning. I worked with people of all different budgets. That’s the first thing I’d suggest to do when planning a wedding. Sit down and come up with a budget so it doesn’t turn out to be unrealistic or too much. Then choose the venue and secure a date. Everything else can be planned after that.
I'm planning a wedding too! Great video! He proposed with his late grandmother's ring, I feel so honored that he gave me her ring. Also I'm wearing red! Only about 10 months to go!
I absolutely LOVE the idea of non-traditional colors! Those pics are gonna look BOMB.
My dress was navy blue. That was 5 years ago and I don’t regret it one bit! Rock your red! ♥️
Natalia your so beautiful every dress looked amazing but dress number 1 made me gasp!
Absolutely stunning!! 💕
