  • By following a creek bed on Google Maps, I Discovered a target that is near the waters edge and next to a parking lot. I don't know what it could be, other than it's square in shape and maybe made out of concrete.
Little did I know that this target would lead me to an even BIGGER Discovery of something that is located just a few hundred feet away. To see what I found, just come along with me!

Its a drain pipe from the parking lot and runoff from the building that is above the parking lot you had to walk down to.
It's so when it rains. The rain water would washout the little canal. Because the pitch and amount of flow has changed because of the surrounding commercial buildings and parking lots.

That culvert system probably is there to keep the little creek from being choked out by the sediment.

Very cool exploration, JP. The waterfall was beautiful; yes, go back next summer and stand or sit under it! The water is very clear and that larger fish had a look on his face like he’s got some wisdom. Scenery is incredible this time of year. I’m wondering if you ran into some wild roses; extremely thorny. Thank you for taking us along; much appreciated ……🌝

What I liked about the creek was that it appears that its not vsited by many. You could easily camp out there. So peaceful. And then the good time ruined because I would have to clean it up, hopefully with help of some friends. I couldn't just walk by it.

What an incredible adventure! You found your target, and for sure accomplished your goal! I think the whole adventure did not disappoint! It was interesting when you put us through the opening, and we could see the culvert pipe. The spillway was an awesome surprise find, the work that went into constructing it is unbelievable and it was fascinating to see the remains of the pumphouse. What a gorgeous place you found! The sound of the water never gets old, and the waterfalls, landscape, scenery, and natural rock formations are so beautiful. The underwater footage is amazing, it was fun to see the fish, some were nice sized, and the water is so clear. You always put in such great effort to bring wonderful videos, I appreciate that so much, love your videos and this one is another fantastic one! Thank you JP! 💙

Awesome Google maps adventure JP! I'm pretty sure the 1st location is for the parking lot runoff drainage. The bonus find is absolutely gorgeous! The entire exploration was very interesting, however the former reservoir and spillway were truly beautiful. I'll bet it would be amazing to see after a good rain. The rock formations were wonderful. It never ceases to amaze me how God takes something we made and repurposes it into something of such beauty to bring glory to himself. Loved the underwater footage. Would love to see a future snorkeling expedition. Was grateful for the invitation and will be eagerly awaiting the next great adventure. Until then take care, stay safe and God bless.

It appears to me that where the water is flowing "over the top" of the old spillway wall, that it is actually at the same level as the water coming through the stones, but in that area, the capstones appear to be missing.

I don't notice it because I don't have to watch out for it. BTW, I love your videos.
