I was looking forward to this. You're one of the few people who reacts to the Soprano's who I feel actually gets the humour the show uses and picks up on things that the rest of them seem to miss. I knew you'd like this one! It's a classic episode
Btw, the song that plays when Gloria dances and during credits is sung by Steven Van Zandt who plays Silvio on the show. 🙂
The only way to avoid spoilers is to not read the comments. There are too many Livia Sopranos in the world. People that love robbing others of pleasure and enjoyment.

The conversation between Tony and Ralph about Jackie wasn’t about giving him a pass it was about the fact that both of them know Jackie has to go but neither man wants to be one that does it. So basically the conversation was Tony and Ralph passing the buck back and forth.
Yep, both know it will be Ralph handling the clean up, but neither want it to be their decision

Just commenting to help boost that algo for ya. The "Pine Barrens" episode is memorable to me not only because of what a great episode it is, but it actually aired the same day my Dad died, and still made me laugh.

When you said "This is the favorite part of my week." at the theme song, it reminded me that this series was the last time I had experienced a series in the old school way. Watching it on the net work, as it came out, discussing and thinking all week about the last episode and what would come next.
Every Sunday we had to be home by 6:50 and if the theme song was playing we were late. The anticipation was palpable.
There was no streaming. If you missed an episode, you missed it unless you used DVR.

I always have to make the sound of the HBO static and the scratch at the end of the title song… The interior decorator scene is hands down my favorite bit in the entire show, I crack up every time.
And I know I’ve asked before but it would be nice if you did one video per episode during the last season. I think it would be a great way to see your final reactions to the final episodes.

One of the things I love about this show is the character development for smaller characters. You get to see Bobby shine in Pine Barrens and you get to see how scary Patsy can be in Amour Fou.
Season 3 fleshed out the other characters.
Yeah it’s terrible when people spoil things. And most of them don’t even think they’re doing anything wrong.

If you felt like you laughed a bit more then usual in pine barrens its because it was directed by steve buschemi, he knows comedy, hes good friends with adam sandler hes been in a lot of his films

The fish x-mas gift was a very funny moment for me. Tony got so awkward about it. I wonder if that was always intended to be the payoff of Tony's food poinsoning dream where Sal was a talking fish.

Paulie Walnuts is probably top 3 best characters on this series and he faces some tough competition. While not always the most ethical man, he is hilarious and even his dirty deeds are usually understandable at least given his career field and attitude. 🤣

One of my favorite reaction couples (Nikki & Steven React) don’t release anything on RUclips until they’re at least one full season in. That way no one can spoil anything. I think this is a great idea for these reaction channels. Some people just don’t care if they spoil things.
Another thing you can look into are some moderators for your comment section. They can sift through the comments & delete any that would spoil it for you.

Please keep reviewing The Sopranos! Sucks that you don't benefit but we true lovers of the greatest TV show ever can't thank you enough. I love watching people discover this masterpiece. Don't know if you've watched Breaking Bad yet (the second best TV show ever) but, Vince Gilligan the creator of BB, said if there never had been a Tony Soprano there never would have been a Walter White (the main character in BB). That's how much this show influenced a truly genius creator like Vince. Hats off to David Chase - and Cristy!
A line I never noticed was funny, "Flesh wound maybe, head shot I don't know... then again anything's possible.." - so, Maybe, maybe and ...maybe... No help.

Pine Barrens is one of the best episodes.
Tony was playing chess . Ralphie wanted Tony to be the one to give him the order . But Tony knew if Ralphie didn’t kill Jackie , all the other made guys would see it as weakness . They both know Jackie has to die . But Ralphie wants to be able to say that Tony gave the order to kill Jackie .

I really enjoyed this review of these two episodes. I think Steve Buscemi directed Pine Barrens.
It'll be hard to not check but wait till you've watched the whole season before reading the comments, that way you won't have any unintended spoilers.... Pine baron's is a fan favourite, Paulie's one of my favourite characters, with his short temper, he says some of the funniest things.

You do an EXCELLENT job, reacting to this show! I don’t know all the rules…but maybe you get de-monetized, because you leave a lot of the violence and cursing in your edits. Don’t get me wrong: with this show…it’s part of what makes your takes great. It shows…you really “get”, what the fans like. If it’s a labor of love, because it’s not profitable for you; know some of us, sure appreciate it ❤

No, this is totally legit, and I've thought about editing the episodes more thoroughly to cut out that stuff and avoid demonetization but it feels false to the show... it feels false to the spirit of it.

Gloria isn't a psychopath she's a very obvious BPD case. I've seen that kind of crazy from an ex first hand. Gloria's behavior is mild compared to how the real ones act at times. If you ever meet someone who admits to having BPD run as far as you can as fast as you can, no matter what they say or do. As for gloria she's clearly extremely self destructive and deliberately provoked tony and kept escalating it to manipulate him into killing her. Its not an uncommon thing with those types

Don't get down on Paulie, NONE of these characters are "good guys", that's why the show is so interesting and compelling. They are all sociopaths, and they're all assholes, and they're all really entertaining because of it. Thanks for your reactions, you're a great Sopranos reactor!
