There is builds that works better in certain situations, but this is my favorite open world solo build what makes warrior worth of play, very fun. You can play very well with rifle only, but I have hammer as secondary, I think that it makes this build even better and more fun. I use “To the Limit!” as heal, and “For Great Justice!” instead of Signet of Might, just like those better. My runes are Superior Rune of the Scholar (from build I used before) in Svaard’s gear, they seems to work well, I have 100% of Critical Change in Berserker Rage mode. Thank you about this great build!
The hammer is indeed a great addition to this one! Glad you're enjoying it! I am a big fan of the berserker heal for the F1 reset, but "To the Limit" is definitely worthwhile to instantly fill your rage, especially at range.
Hi, I am starting to use this build and just hit level 80. what do you recommend before unlocking Bezerker? or does it not really matter all that much until that point? I am using arms as the last specialization with utility skills like bul rush and kick
For Core Warrior you could run something like Discipline (2, 3, 1), Strength (3 or 1, 2, 1), and arms (2, 2, 3) with dual axe and greatsword, and combine that with gear with power/precision/ferocity stats (basically berserker or its equivalent when leveling).
That'd carve out a lovely niche for rifle with the upcoming spear, actually. Thay way we could either combine it with spear for power or longbow for condi.
Oh interesting. I remember one of those builds from back when only Core GW2 existed, but haven't seen many of them around myself. Granted, I don't wvw that much.
Rifle 1 and 2 pierce, and your primal burst and rifle 3 (cone behind) will hit multiple enemies. I've been trying to mainly line up mobs, and then of course hit Primal Burst on cooldown, which also helps take care of those that are clumped up.
it's been like this since the early days, sadly. I discovered that a ranged playstyle was no good when I went into my first dungeon. Anet has been doubling down on the approach ever since (by limiting boon range).
@@phandrelboon range is the reason this will probably never happen :( self buffing just sacrifices so much damage as you often lose out on damage multipliers from traits. It just forces you to stack together even with a range weapon. A lot of people get turned off when they realise they are at a massive disadvantage because they aren’t stacked on the group, since they want to play a traditional caster or sit back with their bow.
edit: the title was changed to not be pure clickbait anymore But okay, so what's overpowered about this build again? I did not catch that in the video. It looks like it's straight up worse in every single concievable way than any of the other warrior OW build variants. It's got uhhh right the burst is higher range than not kneeling deadeye ok i'm sold.
I hadn't given warrior rifle the light of day either for the past few years. I feel like that was so unwarranted. Goes to show that sometimes it pays off veering off the beaten path.
@@phandrel :grins: I shall have to check mine against this one to see how it compares. I have played my Warrior with Rifle for a couple of years but only as a swap weapon when I need to maintain range for a bit.
@@dallassukerkin6878 It definitely has its strengths up close as well! That rifle 2 skill absolutely demolishes open world enemies, though, both range and melee :D
Because it is bad. Any warrior using good weapons is doing tripple this damage with similar levels of sustain, and no projectiles to deal with or awkward positioning.

I miss the time you could turn Rifle into a hybrid condi/power weapon, bleeding ennemies and applying confusion with distracting strike! ^^'

Someone actually made similar rifle berserker into oneshot build in wvw, not sure if it is still viable.

That's pretty cool, thanks!
Hope you'll enjoy as much as I did! I was kinda caught off guard by Rifle's damage.
Yo thanks my warrior was sitting idle
Hope you'll like it!
@@phandrel I love it, I just recently crafted predator so that's a plus 😍
thanks, how do you recommend dealing with large group of mobs with this build?

I love thwe idea but... why is the game designed in the way that we have to fight with our RANGED characters in MELEE range

Time to dust off my Warrior. Never got into this class, but this build seems right up my alley.
This one's definitely very nice for some chill open world action, at least until we finally get our spears :D
warrior spear being ranged makes no sense...anet could've just buffed rifle instead to make power rifle zerker up to par with other power specs
I believe it's more of a fan service thing due to Paragons being so popular in GW1.
Warrior video let's go nice 😊
This should hold us over until the Spear beta, and then the expansion release :D

playing this over one year now.. pretty op dmg.. things just melt
Don’t know why everyone says that Warrior Rifle is bad.

@@frostdracohardstyle tripple the damage self buffed? Do you have a build link? My highest warrior does only 5k more damage. so I'm interested
come on man, 14k.... this is the exact reason ppl complain about rifle it doesnt do any dmg
